“Nothing less of 10/10. The food was phenomenal! very prompt service and the confidence the staff have in the menu speaks volumes. Amazing hospitality by the family in this restaurant and really made us feel welcome and at home. We all tried different things of the menu from the Baller box to the burgers and the parmesan, everything cooked to perfection. The house sauces they use are so good! Portion sizes are generous and even had enough left to take home and enjoy later! Thank you once again guys and hopefully we will visit again. Much love from Edinburgh, Scotland!”

“This place is amazing. The beer garden is a lovely well kept cosy space to enjoy the nice weather and inside is just as charming. When you walk in. You are greeted by the smell of high quality food and it smells amazing. Great grill food and a must buy. The burgers are great. Staff are friendly and approachable and there's a sense of everyone's friends here. I couldn't recommend this place enough. I had a great time!”

“We popped in of an afternoon on a sunday for a cob and a pint! Atmosphere great and lovely people! Just to note cobs are cash only so we had to rummage around the car for change! Great local! Also great with kids i have a 4 year old and a 4 month old and couple of the locals ended up giving my eldest a £1 for the sweet machine as we had used all our change for cobs!! Very sweet and lovely people! 1000% recommended!”

“Called in here for a quick pint on Thursday evening. Good choice of beers at reasonable prices and had live music. A proper pub, cheese and onion cobs available !! We have to keep the independent pubs going by visiting them, use or lose.”

“Tamworth’s best kept secret Omar Ghalwash’s - Tomahawk steak (approx 1.2kg) to share between 2 people with the most incredible triple cooked chips with the heavenlyist side salad you’ll ever taste all served with chimchurri sauce and a peppercorn sauce at a price that will astonish you in a good way - honestly food heaven I can’t give it 10 out of 10 it has to be way higher than that Fox Inn Dosthill - just trust me xx”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Outstanding service and warm atmosphere at The Deanery Café From the moment we arrived, the experience at The Deanery Café was nothing short of fantastic. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely attentive, something you don’t find everywhere. A special mention goes to Daisy, our waitress, who was absolutely brilliant. She was handling multiple tables and customers with ease, like an octopus with eight arms, yet still managed to make us feel looked after. She even offered water for our dog, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel truly welcome. The food was excellent, and the coffee hit the spot perfectly. We couldn’t fault anything. The atmosphere was relaxed, cosy, and dog-friendly, everything you’d want from a local café. We’d come back here a thousand times. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Tamworth!”

“As soon as we walked in on Saturday early evening, we were greeted with a friendly smile and a very polite gentleman. We had not booked, but were seating immediately. The service was exceptional and the food was amazing. Definitely 9/10, it would have been 10/10 but they did not serve alcohol (I did check the website before I went). “Lovely warm welcome into an absolutely beautiful historical building. We came for an afternoon tea, portions were very generous with plans in place to expand the offer and make more of it in house in the future. The fire was alight and cosy. The table next to us was eating the main food on offer which also looked delicious and they also asked for takeaway boxes because of the generous portion sizes. Lisa was so welcoming and friendly and let us have a look upstairs at the amazing original tiles and stained glass window, events space and room where Laurel and Hardy stayed. The playlist was also great. So much history in a pub like this - so good to see it back open!”

“We enjoyed two nights at Grafton Manor and would have loved to stay longer. The peaceful setting of the hotel was just what we needed as we had travelled from Scotland for the burial of a dear friend. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Alison’s service at breakfast was very much appreciated- nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast choices were excellent and everything was cooked to perfection. We would recommend to anyone.”

“I’ve spent many years visiting Stourport, as I worked there for a few years and came to really love the town. The only thing the town always seemed to lack was live music venues that really engaged the local area. Every town needs at least one venue that feels like a hub for live music and entertainment, and this is definitely Stourport’s. I’ve been there for a drink in the afternoon and it’s filled with atmosphere due to its musical vibe, and I’ve been here for gigs and it’s a great live music venue. I really can’t recommend it enough if you like a decent priced pint and some entertainment. I wasn’t a huge fan of the pizza, but that’s not something that would stop me attending the venue regularly.”

“Our dinner on Wednesday evening was superb. We began with an excellent French Merlot alongside our starters of mussels. Both were delicious. Our mains of Shank Zara and Garlic Seabass did not disappoint. Beautiful presentation and delicious food. Highly recommended.”

“I have been a very regular customer of this establishment since it opened and must compliment the entire team as I strongly think this is the best team they have ever had currently (October 2025) They consistently provide excellent service and always give a warm welcome to all who enter the pub. Their ability to handle busy moments is second to none whilst keeping delightful, bubbly energy even when dealing with difficult or rude customers. From the Professionalism and care is what I can say is on display at this pub currently. The food is excellently cooked and would say the portion size is fantastic and well worth the money. My compliments to the Head Chef as I can see imagination and creativity whilst keeping it true to the menu. This includes buffets and large food orders without compromising the quality. The atmosphere was calm Plenty of space and is dog and child friendly throughout the day. Later on in the evening is also great as service is efficient and fast. The place is incredibly clean and I must say has a level of care that I have not seen from any pubs I have ever been before. No sticky floors, stains or disgusting toilets so I must show special appreciation to the cleaning staff. The facilities also are perfect for parties, work meetings or any type of gathering and is very easy to book. Currently the place has an excellent quiz for those who enjoy general knowledge with prizes for those in the top 3. For smokers or those who like to sit outside then the pub caters to these needs also. Overall I would say if you are in the area then it is well worth coming in as I think this is one of the best places in the city centre without having to break the bank regarding the prices. You will feel very welcome from the all the members of the team. If you have been here in the past and have not returned in a while then I think you will enjoy the pub more than ever at the time of me writing this.”

“Attended a private function at the Gongoozler and had a fabulous time. Really friendly and hard working staff. The buffet put on was great and the drinks service was good. Nice selection of local ales available. Really lovely location on the canal edge overlooking the BCLM. Wheelchair accessible as a 96 year old relative had no trouble accessing the venue in her wheelchair. Plenty of parking with an honesty box for donations.”

“We’ve been here several times now when we visit family in Dudley and it has become a ‘must’ when we visit now. The food is superb and the staff are excellent. We haven’t had a bad meal here and always leave saying how much we enjoyed it, so much so I have actually decided to leave review on here. Highly recommended, if you are in the area give it a try you won’t regret it but it would be wise to book as it is always busy. Our latest visit was a Sunday evening and it was even busy then.”
