    Lagoon Watersports - Hove

    ★★★★★ 4.8
    Open

“My children had SUCH a good time at hove lagoon doing the kids activity week and introduction to sailing courses. For the younger ones the intro to sailing is a great way to get them on the water, and my older child has done that for the last 2 years before moving on to the full activity week this year. It’s such a fun and action packed week giving them a chance to try out a whole range of activities including SUP, windsurfing, wakeboarding, sailing and kayaking as well as fun games and activities like raft building, donut rides on the zip line and treasure hunts. The team are amazing at keeping the children engaged and happy, even when the weather is less than ideal! I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something fun for the kids in the summer holidays.”

Eastbourne Escape Room - Jurassic Land

    ★★★★☆ 4.7
    Open

“This was booked as a Christmas present for me, my husband and my elderly parents. We had a great time and at 84 years old, my dad discovered he’s good at shooting zombies - who knew?!! The puzzles were challenging and we did run out of time, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were monitored closely and given help along the way when we just couldn’t quite get there (bit too often for my ego!!). They really helped to accommodate my dad managing the stairs (on second floor) and were really friendly. We’d love to go back and do it again now! Thoroughly recommended.”

“We had a all day rider from a virgin experience and it was a brilliant day out. Just sit back and imagine yourself in the days gone by when steam locomotives were everywhere. The amount of work that has gone into the restoration of the trains and stations is unbelievable. Everything has been built, designed and styled perfectly. Even the staff were dressed in immaculate period clothing. The trains looked great and sounded great. We went from Sheffield park to east Grinstead and went to town for lunch. On the way back you can get off at all the stations and explore the stations, picnic areas, museums and buildings. Sheffield park seems to be the main one and had a lovely museum. The day is what you make it. If you just want the ride the fine but if you explore a bit further then you will discover so much history. The pulling coaches looked so stylish. Halloween and Xmas events are in the diary.”

“An absolutely beautiful, iconic treasure of Brighton- a must visit for all ages. Walking through the Dyke itself isn't too strenuous and is a really peaceful, grounding experience. I love walking through with my son or on my own- it's great for kids who enjoy nature as insects, wildflowers and birds are abundant. If you aren't able or in the mood to traverse the steep hill, there are large flat walking areas as well which are just as much of a treasure to experience with stunning views. People often fly kites, walk their dogs and just enjoy the space no matter the weather. It's really a special part of Brighton and so easy to get to by hopping on a 77 bus. There is also a pub/hotel which has AMAZING chips which are a must, as well as toilets when needed.”

“Hove Village looked after our Son for 2 years, during this time he received outstanding care, we always said it like leaving him with family and friends. The food there is amazing, the standard of chilcare is brilliant and even during times when our boy was not behaving as we'd liked they coached him through it and helped us to understand why he was acting out. By the end of his time there he was raring to go to school with an interest in sport, the world around him and a healthy respect for teachers and good behaviour. Thank you to everyone at Hove Village!”

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Ms. Winnie and her incredible team at Treetops Nursery for the wonderful care and support they provided to my daughter during her year there. From the very beginning, they created a warm and nurturing environment where she felt safe, loved, and eager to learn. Ms. Winnie’s dedication and genuine passion for the development of each child are truly remarkable, and I’ve seen firsthand how this has helped my daughter grow in confidence and thrive both socially and academically. The activities at Treetops are always well thought out, offering a perfect balance of play and learning, and it’s clear that the staff are deeply invested in every child’s progress. My daughter would come home excited to share all the new things she had learned, and her happiness and growth during her time there have been wonderful to witness. Thank you, Ms. Winnie, for the tremendous work you do—you’ve made such a positive impact on our family, and we are forever grateful.”

“I find the Hillcrest centre a treasure. I come to monthly meetings from the centre of Brighton. It's a joy to be able to park easily, the rooms are large and airy, and quiet, never any problem about booking, and the lunches are inexpensive and superb and the staff are very helpful. The dining room It seems to be a hub for retired people like me. The main hall is a great venue - I went to a book launch attended by hundreds of people, and there is a vibrant market there whenever I go, which is a Thursday once a month - may be more frequent. I guess it's an important resource heavily used by the townspeople of Newhaven. I love it, the atmosphere, the people - and the lunches.”
