βIs this Brightonβs best kept secret? Hands down, the Charles Napier offers the best quiz night in Brighton. Taking place every Sunday night, quiz master David Potter throws out questions over a broad range of subjects that will have you wishing you had studied harder at school! Great, quirky pub too, with a warm welcome and fine selection of beers. Thoroughly recommended.β
βI came here during pride and the staff were amazing. So sweet and caring, everybody were in such great spirits and really welcomed in everybody and made them feel taken care of. The food was fresh and wonderfully crafted. I had the lucky catch which was calamari with fish & chips as well as mushy peas with a spin. I had some of their handcrafted nonalcoholic drinks. The passion fruit spritz & the ginger one were great. The alcoholic drinks looked great but I had to work later so we kept it PG. I enjoyed everything 10/10. Theyβre right by the beach as well so there was beautiful scenery all around.β
βWell well well what can I say about this pub. Home . This pub feels like home . Amazing service . Amazing staff. The beer is so fresh and amazing ! Will be coming backβ
βWe were (very) late for our booking and hadnβt been able to get through to ask for it to be moved. The staff were all so accommodating and the manager (sorry didnβt catch his name!) was just great and made a big table up for us very quickly. It was so appreciated and I will be recommending the pub to everyone I know! Thank you again for making space for us.β
βWent here for my leaving drinks and absolutely loved it. Friendly peeps all round.β
βCasta amd Madge found yet another CAMRA Good Beer Guide regular. Four real ales and a real cider. Had my first ever beer from Hand Brew ( Canterbury, Kent.) . Very good. A lovely front room ( couple of tv's) and a surprisingly large beer garden. Upstairs for another room with darts, pool, TV's etc. Serves food. Close to railway ststion.β
βWow! Went on recommendation. Glad we booked as it was packed at 1930 on a Saturday. Beautiful decor. Friendly staff. Quick service. Food to die for at a really reasonable price. I'll be back the next time I'm in Worthing for sure!β
βThe wife and I had the veggie breakfast. They were cooked to perfection. I was impressed by the veggie sausages. Very nice. The service was also excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go backβ
βMust try and must visit We were in Seaford for work and in this restraunt on a very quite day and expectations were very low knowing only 2 of us were there. But to our pleasant surprise the food was yummy. We have tried the Chefs special mixed biryani with lamb, prawns & chicken and Veg biryani. Both were very well made. The taste justified the higher price pointβ
βNice, homely atmosphere. The owners are really lovely and great company. The owner's father fought in WWII and he has a fantastic display of military uniforms and photos. Even the music is from that era, which was quite relaxing and enjoyable.β
βAmazing food, massive servings and fresh! Really nice guys who look after you. Will definitely be going back. Thank you for a lovely experience.β
βFirst time visiting this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Food was tasty, with friendly staff and atmosphere. Definitely did not leave hungry. Look forward to visiting again soon.β
βPeople complaining about the prices havenβt estimated well the portion sizes. Excellent noodles always very fresh, friendly staff and quick service. Our favourite takeaway place in Worthing :)β
βLovely neighbourhood cafe with excellent food options and lovely drinks, and bafflingly priced samosas!β
βAbsolutely loved it here with my family. Mr wahid was super accommodating and helpful with my disabled mum. Food is always great and I always come here for a cheeky curryβ
βWe went for the all you can eat Chinese and we can say it was some of the best Chinese food we have ever eaten! The duck was delicious and crispy and everything was cooked to perfection! The staff were all absolutely lovely and very attentive. The food came nice and quickly and the staff were constantly checking if we wanted to try more dishes. Couldnβt recommend enough! Also is a huge venue so would recommend for bigger groups of people (6-8).β
βFish and chips were delicious. They have cider on tap too!β
βGreat location opposite the pier in Worthing and these burgers are AMAZING !!! Cooked to perfection and presented beautifully will definitely be coming here again soon. Might even have to try a few things from the cocktail menu next time as well!β
βHad a great meal here last night, food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. Chloe was very attentive to our needs and made sure we had everything we needed. The garden was large with plenty of seating and the pub welcomes dogs.β
βA crowd of us visited for Sunday lunch and had a great time. Most of us had the Sunday lunch which was enjoyed by us all - tasty and plentiful. The other food ordered was just as good. The girl who served (forget her name unfortunately) us was lovely - friendly and helpful. Only downside was lack of real ales choices. 4 pumps and only 2 in use - and one serving the ubiquitous bland Doom Bar. That said we all had a great time and would definitely returnβ
βLots to choose from, inside and outside seating, lovely place.β
βWe had a great dinner experience at the Smugglers . Our server Amy was absolutely brilliant . Efficient, attentive and she has a wonderful & warm personality. The food was excellent quality too . We will be back.β
βEverything was very good. It was easy to check in, the room was clean and fresh, so were the beds and towels. We had a TV, tea and coffee facilities, a good shower, also an extra heater if it was chilly and even a hair dryer. It was very good value for money and the lady who met us on arrival was very friendly. The location was excellent we had a coffee shop and a pub plus lots of shops at one end of the street and a five minute walk to the beech at the other end. There was lots of independent eateries and bars within a short walk. We were also only about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the Royal Pavilion and the Museum or the Lanes and the shops. It was also on a very good bus route.β
βReally need to sort out the bar staff. Old blonde or white hair woman always miserable. Always rude. Doesn't like what you put on jukebox only wants what she likes. Killed my mental health suffering daughters confidence by saying rude comments about her singing and music. Me and my daughter have had to quit darts cause of this. Absolutely disgusted.β
βBest place Iβve ever been in lancing too socialise live music and cheap beer what else could go wrongβ
βI celebrated my Birthday and my daughterβs birthday there. Everyone was lovely and really supportive and nothing looks like too much trouble for them and kindly helped us with everything! We had a great time and Im looking forward to keep celebrating my birthday here!β
βUnder new management, currently being refurbished and already looking great. Lovely beer garden, spacious inside and out. Food will be reinstated once the full kitchen refit is complete. Now a family run local for everyone to enjoy. Highly recommend.β
βWe were walking past this building and at first i thought it was an old casino because of the gaming machines. But when we wandered in, we were surprised and in awe at how beautifully restored this old opera house is. Take a closer look around, especially the upper level booths. It is very pretty. Better yet the drinks are cheap!!!!! Lots of older folks here drinking so you know this is the place to get a cold one. They had an enormous menu of EVERYTHING. Apologies I forgot to get pics of the menu but it was impressive. We only had a couple drinks here and we were enjoying the people watching. According to signage you can book reservations for dinner for two people max in one of the opera booths. Awesome.β
βIβve been to The Grenadier Pub a few times now, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is pretty good value for money β generous portions, tasty, and fairly priced. The staff really make the difference here. Kiera always greets you with a big smile and delivers excellent customer service β friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Hallam is also a pleasure to deal with β always polite, professional, and helpful, adding to the great experience. Itβs the kind of place where you feel looked after and appreciated as a customer. Highly recommend if you're looking for a chilled spot with good food and great service. Iβll definitely be back!β
βLovely pub, must admit that I wasn't blown away by the roast I had but the service and atmosphere was excellent. They also have a huge back garden which was brilliant for letting the kids blow off steam. Would likely return but to try something else on the menu βΊοΈβ
