The Nurse Cara was so calm and kind that my dog even allowed her to place a cannula and was comfortable for the appointment. The very rang as promised to explain the results and a treatment plan. “We've been with these vets for about 9 years now and I have always had good service from them. All the vets we have seen over the years have been absolutely lovely. Our most recent visits we have seen Sarah who is relatively new to the practice, she was amazing with our new puppy and also managed to handle our grumpy old cat with care and confidence on another visit. The receptionists and nurses are all really helpful and friendly.”

“I popped in here today with my pugs and I absolutely fell in love with everything in the shop! Some really cute harnesses with a great choice of designs! Lots of treats and toys and the owner was so friendly, had a real passion for his work and was lovely to meet, we could have spent all day in there! We will be back!”

“I’m very happy with Coastway in Lewes. All the vets and nurses have a great relationship with their patients and I have received good advice e.g. when my cat was being bullied. Vets are expensive but on various occasions Coastway staff have suggested ways of saving money. The appointments tend to be in the afternoon and it’s sometimes very difficult to exit the car park due to parked cars - not their fault I know.”

“This practice never let's our families pets down. We've used them for the last 15+ years - visiting both the Woodingdean and Lewes branches. The reception team are knowledgeable, polite and efficient. The practices are immaculately clean and vet Mark Allaway is the most knowledgeable and kind veterinary surgeon that we could wish for. Would 100% recommend Cliffe vets.”

“We have been taking our cats to Cat’s Whiskers for around 11 years now. It is so good to go to a cat only vet where the waiting area is calm and there are no dog noises! Amanda is an excellent vet, quiet and calm, the appointments are never rushed and are very thorough. As mentioned in previous reviews, you do have to join a pet plan but if you have pets, you owe them that at least. This way they get regular, preventative health checks and are always up to date with flea and worm treatment and vaccinations. I am more than happy to recommend Amanda and her team who all do a wonderful job of making you feel at home, and every effort is made to make the experience as comfortable and stress free as possible for the cats and their owners.”

“Meridian Vets are absolutely brilliant- Larissa has been looking after our kitties for years and she’s just fabulous. She’s kind, considerate, professional and empathetic- all our kitties are and have been rescues, sometimes with a traumatic past so this has made a big difference to their care. They all love her ! All the other vets we’ve seen over the years have been great too and the nurses are fantastic and caring. The receptionists are brilliant- always kind and understanding . It might have something to do with the bone that I buy him after but I think it's because he enjoys the beauty treatment. Nails done, teeth cleaned, hair cut all in a couple of hours. Very happy”

“Fantastic experience with Southdown vets. Always really helpful on the phone and really friendly on reception. Vets have all been really helpful. My dog recently had to be sedated for ear checks and the attending practicioners (sorry I didn't catch their names!) made him really comfortable and were very understanding with him being very nervous. Wouldn't hestitate to recommend to anyone.”

“I am so grateful to this practice for all the fantastic care and attention they have given to my cat, especially over the last 18months since she was diagnosed with 2 critical illnesses. I always knew they were good from our annual vet check ups and occasional visits following the odd cat fight! However, since her diagnoses last year the staff have been absolutely brilliant - both with our cat and with us. Every member of staff has been extremely friendly, professional, knowledgable, honest and so very caring. It's been a long journey already but 18 months on and our lovely little cat is back to her playful, mischievous self and in the best health for a while. Whilst that may not last forever, I know she is in the best possible care with the team at Southdown. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”

They also run a fabulous dog show at Hove Lagoon which the dogs, owners and spectators love. It so well attended and draws great crowds, especially for temptation alley!
