βIβm really surprised at the negative reviews about staff. I visited with my girlfriends on Saturday and the staff couldnβt have been more helpful or accommodating. If you want individual pieces at fair prices this is the place to try. Weβd trawled round all the well known stores seeing exactly the same items time and time again and it was refreshing to find stylish clothes. Iβm already looking forward to a return trip.β
βWe had two flat whites, great coffee! We got lucky and ordered before a lot of people arrived. Got served in good times and sat at one of the tables to enjoy our coffees.β
βExcellent service from Tech Support. Problem identified and replacement part sent out free of charge for a 14 year old installation, now working as new. Wow - we thank you so much, saved us a fortune if we had to replace the entire shower valve. *****β
βFANTASTIC and very professional service at Westgate repair, I highly recommend. In the past I have taken phones with cracked screens which have been sorted quickly. All Good. This time I took my HP laptop to replace the damaged touch screen - not a problem, all fixed. So I decided to ask about my MacBook Air which after hours with Apple consultants had been diagnosed as 'vintage' and unfixable. Although this MacBook would no longer even power on, Westgate Repair said 'no dramas we can fix that. Not a problem'. TBH I was a bit dubious, seemed too good to be true. But hey presto I am now writing this review from my smooth running 'vintage' Mac, installed with the latest software and running perfectly. I know the guys at Westgate went above and beyond trouble shooting and finding the cause of the issues but they 100% go against the tide of Apple's appalling and dishonest 'throw away' culture. So a BIG thank you to Westgate Repairs and I am spreading the word that MacBooks etc despite what Apple will tell you, CAN be fixed.β
βThe Palladian Bridge in Bath, England, is a stunning example of 18th-century architecture, nestled within the picturesque Prior Park Landscape Garden. Designed by Richard Jones and inspired by the classical designs of Andrea Palladio, this bridge is one of only four of its kind worldwide. Built in the mid-1700s for Ralph Allen, a prominent local entrepreneur, the bridge exemplifies the Palladian style, characterized by symmetry, classical proportions, and grandeur. Great visit today !!!!β
βSandpits is a really good play area for children. There are swings, swing boats, a few slides of various sizes, roundabouts, climbing frames etc. The sandpit is large with a pirate ship and crocodile and other devices. The stream which runs through the area is great fun for floating toy boats down or playing Pooh sticks or paddling in hot weather. There are picnic benches, a table tennis table, goal posts for football at the top end, and plenty of grassy areas and seats. It's protected by railings all around but with easy access to the road outside. A really good children's park for all ages, and very popular, especially during the holidaysβ
βNeeded a small but major defect repaired for MOT fail as car essential. House understood urgency and let us come in straight away. Car was sorted within 2 hours and MOT passed that afternoon. Great service, reasonable price; very happy.β
βExcellent. Very warm and welcoming staff, kept my little pup calm and happy through the whole visit. The supply of treats meant he didn't even notice his vaccinations. Great value for money puppy package. Happy customer, very happy Pup!β
βYou get some spectacular views from the inclines in this park! Obviously, that also means it can be a bit of a steep walk to get up to, if something like that bothers you. It has a playground and lots of space to just relax. Recommendedβ
βBest proper pub in bath, my local and I'm lucky to have it :) Staff are great, regulars and friendly, and I wish I were there right nowβ
βGreat repair service every time weβve used them for a number of different vehicles. Today they did check of Citroen battery charging after recovery van checks suggested alternator needed replacing. Theyβd seen similar before and their experience suggested might all be ok. Which it seems to be. Refused payment for their checking. I was impressed.β
βWe stayed for two nights at the Plaine for my sons wedding. We had breakfast two days and a meal for the bridal party on the day after the wedding. The service and food was five star. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Lola who was a delight and kept us all amused. Would happily return if in the area again.β
βFirst class, we received excellent service, from the bar to the restaurant. We were well looked after, the wine was excellent and the food delicious, can recommend the sea bass as well as the lamb. The food was cooked to order and arrived hot. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, we will dine here again.β
βHusband picks up food for us here regularly and they are always friendly and try to work as quick as they can to get orders out. Very reasonable pricing and the food is always good. Recently changed up the menu and the gourmet burger has become a new favorite.β
βIgnore the other reviews. I've always had a really good experience when I've been into this Coop, it has been organised, clean and the staff have always been very willing to help me. Recently a member of staff, Ben (I believe), went above and beyond to help me out as I had an issue with something regarding the Hermes drop-off point. He kindly assisted me in any way he could, and saved me a lot of hassle. Overall - the 50 or so times I've been in this store: I've never had an issue. Perhaps a longer, more contextualised review from the 4, 3, 2 and 1 star reviewers might help convince me to think anything different from what I do. I don't feel they're justified. Don't be put off.β
βGreat local community hall with lots of varied activities. Accessible. Baby change and toilets on site. Tiny car park is often quite busy, spaces are on the small side.β
βWe had a lovely time on the boat tour. The tour guides were friendly and very informative. Lovely relaxing way to spend an hour in Bathβ
βKatie cut my hair today and she did a great job, took the time to chat with me to figure out what exactly I wanted and it turned out perfect!β
βI used this place to drop off a returned DPD parcel. Whilst I was there I bought a neat little coffee maker, the chap was quite helpful. Not sure why the 1 star reviews? The shop is perfectly fine.β
βI have bought several items from here over the years. I recently bought a beautiful purple chair that I saw in the window whilst walking past. Lovely piece of furniture. My mother also bought a couple of reclining chairs. These were delivered promptly and assembled with all the packaging removed. Great local service at a very reasonable price.β
βLove having my nails done here....friendly,relaxed and great results.β
βThe food quality is great. Pricing is good. Service is very ordinaryβ
βBig sports TV, pool tables, darts, great beer selection, food available, I picked up Crisps Artois here, the amazing landlord saved them for me! He is a class act, friendly, enjoys a laugh with customers and is open to anyone whether regulars or not. Friendly and amazing pub in Bath - you can get the 5 bus from the centre which stops just outside. Amazing views from the huge windows out the front too. Totally recommended!β
βReally nice store in bath, I will definitely use from now on, very helpful & polite staff. Gentleman was very kind & helped me to package a parcel. Really nice recycled products.β
βMy preferred builders merchants. As a tradesman (plumber) they look after me unlike the other merchants in town who try and rip you off every time. Friendly and helpful staff and good quality materialβ
βI regularly use marksbury co op and garage and have always found the staff courteous and pleasant. I have actually walked in on customers regularly mouthing off to the staff for little things like having to wait for a costa coffee whilst it was being refilled with milk. Absolutely pathetic, if customers give a little thanks and polite words to the staff they would be amazed at how it would be reciprocated, I think it's just called being pleasant, try it sometime!β
βWe required some wood for the garden and were well advised by staff on amount and sizes. Recommendedβ
βWe send both of our children to Wycliffe College. Our daughter is currently in the Upper Sixth and our son is in Year 10. We sought out the school because we wanted somewhere that would suit both our children β one is very academic, the other is much less so. Sending our children to this school was probably the best decision we have made as parents. Both are thriving in their own particular way. The small class sizes help them hugely, and the pastoral support they receive is exceptional. Communication between the school and parents is excellent. There is a very strong sense from all the staff there, teachers and others, that our children matter a great deal to them β their academic performance, their physical and mental well being, their growth and development into well rounded adults. Our daughter is passionate about art and history and has been nurtured and challenged by a fabulous and inspiring team of teachers, who push her to achieve all she is capable of. My son loves all the sport on offer and the opportunities presented to him. He receives so much encouragement by all his teachers who have focused on bringing all his strengths to the fore. In short we really donβt feel we could have found a better school than Wycliffe to nurture and teach our children through these critical years of their lives.β
