“Lovely cafe with great food. We tried the special: Bubble and Squeak, and it was very tasty and filling. The atmosphere is great, especially at the terrace. There is also a great tea selection, I had the Apple tea and it was very nice. The staff was outstanding, always attentive and helpful.”
“Incredibly friendly staff, really lovely. The food was delicious and very well presented. The environment is super cozy. I was travelling alone so I felt a little lonely but here I felt really comfortable ☺️”
“Absolutely gorgeous! Big salads, rose prosecco just what we needed! Stunning views, will definitely be returning!”
“My fave place for a morning hot chocolate and pastry. The food here is always outstanding. Their ham and cheese croissant is incredible. Had steak and frites a while back and still thinking about it! Highly recommend!”
“I’ve been here a couple of times now and both occasions have been very pleasant. Really good sandwiches, tasty coffee (fair trade is a bonus!), friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Looking forward to trying the cakes!”
“Lovely place. They had toys for my children to play with lots of atmosphere with people coming in and out discussing music and having lessons. Limited food menu of toasties and cakes etc but nice.”
“The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. Would recommend for those who are on a tight budget.”
“The food and drinks were amazing, all the staff was super friendly too, I would highly recommend anyone looking for a nice new lunch spot!”
“So I have been past so many times thinking s as about popping in and I’m so glad I did, the pizzas were exactly what we wanted, really nicely presented and soft drinks so can’t really comment on the full range but looks good, the man who served us was very kind allowing the dogs to sit with us and the price was very good so it’s a big thumbs up. I will be back!”
“Fantastic food. Very friendly and happy staff members upon arrival and during service. Ella cooked my food brilliantly and set me up perfectly for the rest of my day. The backroom staff Rory, Emma and Tony all came in to check up on me throughout my meal and stay, just ensure it was to my liking. I can highly recommend this place to anyone who is passing by or to anyone living locally. Who doesn't know about this place I'm definitely coming back!”
“Lovely afternoon treat at the 'Modiste' to round off a weekend in Bath including a Bridgerton Walking Tour. We were drawn in by the affiliation with the show but the food was truly delicious, the quiche, sausage roll and cakes were shared were lovely. Friendly staff and a brilliant location.”
“I tried many croissants in Europe and UK, and trust me they have one of the best Almond Croissants. Definitely worth a try, my mouth waters everytime I think of their Croissant.”
“Great little cafe. Delicious smoothie bowl! Just be aware there's pretty much no seating inside though.”
“I really liked this place. The coffee was good, flat white as usual but impressed me most was the sourdough toast, best I've had for quite a while, loose butter not fiddly little packs and more than enough for the 4 half slices. Check out the full menu which are brunchy. Polite service with a smile.”
“So so good!!! One of the best pistachio croissants I’ve ever had. Also got a yummy beef and potato pasty and a chocolate croissant swirl bread. They have quite a big selection of other pastries as well. Highly recommend if you’re in Bath.”
“The tea room at Dyrham Park is a lovely place to stop and relax. The tea and coffee are excellent, and the staff are always friendly and helpful – it really adds to the whole visit.”
“Afternoon tea with friends. Staff very friendly, covid safe environment. Hot sunny day, so lovely spacious garden was in use. Selection if sandwiches, cakes and scone with accompaninents. Prosecco tea also available. Reasonable price. Recommend.”
“The best coffee around, went for my usual soya flat white, and the two Italian men are just the smiliest most lovely men! They always greet me, i enjoyed my first coffee and then went for my second and they gave me a croissant, thank you! So lovely!!! Will always be coming here!!!”
“Best brunch in bath! Cosy and intimate cafe located right opposite the train station. I got the biscoff pancakes which were perfect if you have a sweet tooth. The portion was massive and they tasted divine. Service was lovely and the food came very quickly. Would love to come here again in the future!”
“Lovely place to stop for a cuppa if visiting the Jane Austen Centre or are just walking by. We enjoyed a nice selection of teas and scones in a period setting. The team was welcoming and accommodating. Especially nice if you’d like a quieter setting for an afternoon tea. We were able to walk in, but a booking would usually be recommended.”
“We had such a nice time at the café with our family. The pancakes were amazing!! Mimka was wonderful – cheerful, patient and really attentive (her suggestions were very helpful as I’m quite indecisive). She made us feel so welcome and was fantastic with my picky children at our table which made the whole visit so much easier and more enjoyable. A lovely place for families to come ❤️”
“A lovely place to stop and watch the world pass by, just by the abbey and down from the historic plane tree. Great helpings, good tea, and a lovely setting. Priced for tourists, it’s still reasonable to have afternoon tea for two here.”
“Perfect place for George’s Sunday lunch or afternoon tea. Charming staff. Excellent service and a grand location.”
“The barista who helped me showed great patience and attention to detail. Even though things were clearly busy and challenging, he stayed calm, polite, and focused on getting everything right. I really appreciated his effort.”
“Charming Traditional style cafe in the indoor Guildhall Market. No fancy coffee here. It's tea or coffee, and the menu is a basic cafe menu. It's got a reasonable amount of seating, and the service was fairly fast. Plenty of locals were coming and going, so it was quite a popular place. I had the English breakfast, which was nice. There are plenty of sandwich and toasty options.”
“I was out early, doing my garden bird food shopping, etc.The garden centre shop was quiet. I tried the Secret Garden Cafe for the 1st time & found this was where all the shoppers were! I had a full English B/F. The staff was friendly. My server was the lovely Maisey. I can't wait for better weather. Then, you can sit outside if you like! J.W.”
“Really nice, comfortable and spacious cafe with lovely simple reasonably priced menu.”
“Came here and had a delicious lunch here after exploring the gardens. There is a limited choice of lunch items but a better range of cakes. I had a vegan cheese forcachia, which was delicious. The service was pretty quick and staff very helpful. There's plenty of outdoor seating.”
“Wow! Incredible breakfast rolls! Lovely friendly staff Will go out of my way to visit again, Well worth checking out!”
