“Visited for the first time on a Tuesday lunchtime. The food was beautifully cooked and the service was perfect. We were recommended by a family member and will definitely visit again!”
“Absolutely delicious food, ate outside on an early spring evening and it was perfect. My husband had the Goan curry packed full of mussels, prawns and Hake, he said it was really tasty. Must return to try eating in the restaurant. Thanks lovely people x”
“Old world pub with an excellent selection of cider and beer. Snacks are good also with some decent lunch offerings. Garden is quiet and the pub is fantastic to look around.”
“An Absolutely Perfect Wedding Day at The Crown at Kelston! We recently had the immense pleasure of celebrating our wedding at The Crown at Kelston, and we can genuinely say it was the most perfect day imaginable, largely thanks to the incredible team there. From our very first contact, we dealt with Neve, who was absolutely brilliant. Neve made the planning process seamless and stress-free. In the lead-up to the wedding, everything ran so smoothly that we genuinely didn't have to think about a single thing on the day itself – a true gift for any couple! Neve even coordinated directly with our florist, two musicians, the stretch tent company, and our cake supplier on the morning of the wedding, ensuring all suppliers were perfectly in sync without us lifting a finger. Whatever our request, big or small, nothing was ever an issue for Neve and the team. They were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond. On the day of the wedding, the staff worked effortlessly from start to finish. Their attentiveness, efficiency, and friendly demeanour were remarkable, ensuring all our guests were well looked after and the celebration flowed beautifully. And we must mention, the food was absolutely amazing – a real highlight that all our guests raved about! The atmosphere was exactly what we dreamed of, and every detail was handled with precision and care. We cannot recommend The Crown highly enough for any event, especially a wedding. If you're looking for a venue where you can relax and truly enjoy your special day, knowing everything is in expert hands, look no further! A huge thank you to Neve/Theo and all the staff for making our wedding day so incredibly memorable and perfect!”
“Wow Wow Wow. Fantastic! We were in the Bath for the weekend and thought we'd try Pintxo out as we'd walked past before on previous visits and we hadn't booked any food for the weekend - not knowing what to expect from the Christmas markets. On arrival we spent around 15 mins sat at the bar waiting for a table (soaking in the top notch atmosphere) after hanging our coats up, ordered our drinks and were promptly seated once a table became available. The food was simply fantastic, it was soooo tasty! The Deep Fried Aubergines were out of this world, the portions were great and the staff were very friendly and very attentive to clear room when we had finished plates. We will certainly be back on our next visit to Bath, one of the best Tapas we've had outside of Spain (and even including!).”
“We had two cappuccino and one lemon cake here. Coffee was really good however lemon cake was old and taste like fridge. Hope you understand what I meant. It tasted like they’ve put it into the fridge without covering it with anything.”
“We celebrated our wedding meal here as a group of 6, it was amazing. Service was great and the food delicious. Steak frites was generous and well seasoned. Will be coming back”
“Wow. That’s all I can say. Incredible food amazing service and a great ambiance. Will be back for sure. The veal Milanese was out of this world and the Italian donuts are just sublime. Linda Wring has created a true gem in Scoozi.”
“What a meal! Fantastic staff - attentive and friendly and the food was amazing. We had around 7 plates, wine and beer - Nothing but positive things to say - The best Tapas we have ever had! There were four of us seated outside on a summer eve. A beautiful town and this must be their gem - We will definitely be returning - Thank you!”
“One word, incredible. This is comfortably the best dining experience I have had recently, the service was attentive and friendly from start to finish, and the food was delicious in every bite, the wine list was varied and interesting, and the explanations given for each dish had you enjoying the food before you even ate it. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough if you are here for a special occasion.”
“We came here for a Sunday roast, and it was one of the best roasts I’ve ever had! The quality of the food was amazing. We shared 3 different cuts of lamb which were cooked to perfection. The presentation of the food was exceptional, and there were plenty of vegetables. Everything was top-notch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. This is such a lovely place in a beautiful town. I’d highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.”
“Lovely local cafe in Shirehampton with friendly and efficient service. Food is beautifully presented and very tasty! My brunch was a potato rosti, smashed avocado, lovely golden halloumi and eggs in a balsamic glaze, cooked to perfection. Ideal for young parents, friends, families and couples to hang out! Popular in the area and thoroughly recommended”
“Spur of the moment dinner, found this place on Google. So glad we did. The food was delicious and good size portions. Service was very good and friendly. Atmosphere was lovely, but would have been better not to be seated right next to a very noisy table of 8. Thank you to all staff”
“Went here for my birthday and made good use of the mid week set menu deal, 3 courses for £23, which was definitely great value as the food was high quality. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also really nice, even for an early evening sitting! Would come again for sure.”
“Went on Sunday morning to nurse my hangover and I'm so glad I did, I had the veggie breakfast and it was delicious. Proper filling, yummy dish and the staff were all lovely. I felt 50p for a slice of toast was maybe a bit cheeky but I can't really complain as it's an independent restaurant and the cossie livs init. This will end up being my go to weekend spot I'm sure.”
“Really nice fish and chips here, plus the added opportunity to eat in - which we did. No difference in price, all served on plates with proper cutlery. Nice choice to have. Chips are perfect. Cod bites and scampi are delicious, chicken and mushroom pie is a favourite, very tasty.”
“Went for a midweek meal, food was amazing and reasonably priced, well worth a visit”
“JUST HAD HUNTERS CHICKEN FOR DINNER AND IT WAS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD,THIS WAS OUR 2ND VISIT THIS WEEK AND WONT BE THE LAST.THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND NOT OVER PRICED. SO MANY THANKS”
“For our anniversary, my wife and I ventured to Hat Bistro, a family-run gem that stole our hearts (and taste buds!). From the moment we walked in, the warmth and hospitality were undeniable. We were lucky enough to be seated at the chef's table as well. The entire wait staff deserves a standing ovation. Our waitress was an absolute star, guiding us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm and attentiveness. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her friendly demeanour made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The barman was equally fantastic, crafting cocktails that perfectly complemented our meal. But the true star of the show was the food itself. Each dish was a revelation of fresh, authentic flavours. It was clear that love and passion went into every creation. We lingered over every bite, savouring the moment and the delicious food. Hat Bistro isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. It's the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a delightful evening out. If you're looking for incredible food, impeccable service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, look no further. We can't wait to return!”
“A great stop. We were travelling M5 and M4 and looking for quality food, rather than a services. The team here delivered! Delicious food. I mean everything we ate. Nice selection of wine and local beers too. Excellent and well worth a 5 minute detour. Thanks guys”
“The best proper local independent cafe for miles - excellent breakfasts and builders tea. A+ 17/09/2022 Update: As clean and tidy as ever, with just as good traditional British cafe menu, with very fast service. They have certificates up showing they have a "5" on the food hygiene rating, I can well believe this as the place is always incredibly clean. These guys know what they are doing, and do it very very well.”
“Food delicious, staff attentive and excellent VFM. Enjoyed our dance group Sunday supper because of all of the above. Terrific”
“Always wonderful in here! Great service, lovely staff and so speedy. Highly recommend the full English breakfast”
“We only came here because the restaurants we wanted to go to were closed, and thank god they were. The garlic bread with cheese was really good, the pepperoni and the cheese from the pepperoni pizza was absolutely delicious, and the fries we got were one of the best fries I’ve tasted this year, I finished it in a few minutes. The waiters were also really friendly and nice, only criticism I have is the 4 person table we sat on was kind of small, forcing me to be a bit separated from the table. Either way, the interior was also really beautiful, especially the paintings.”
“Fantastic friendly staff, with great service from Sean and the team. Sam singing created a lovely atmosphere and the food was outstanding, especially the crumble and ice cream. Lovely to meet the owner and support this family pub which I'm looking forward to visiting again.”
“Was early for hair appointment so popped in for a cuppa chino & had a slice of chocolate and walnut cake. The staff were lovely & the menu looked good two. Takeaway also. Would definitely go again.”
“Had the most wonderful time at Olea. The atmosphere was great, staff were super friendly and helpful, and the food was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to be back - I want to try everything on the menu!”
“Our family came for a birthday meal and received absolutely delicious Italian food and with amazing service! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor, from the perfectly cooked pizzas and pasta to the rich, savory sauces. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience feel warm and welcoming. It had a lovely atmosphere with a family feel. The outdoor seating was lovely on a sunny day. The prices were very reasonable for such big and healthy portion sizes. Highly recommend for anyone craving a true taste of Italy!”
“Had a large family gathering in the bar area. All 19 of us loved the choice on the menu. Each course was delicious. Very friendly service. Would definitely recommend.”
“The best jacket Potato I have had in Bristol. It is large, fluffy and a great amount of filling/salad. Also comes with really creamy coleslaw. Great value too for £7.”
