“A big hotel with a welcoming lounge, large bedrooms, very impressed with room we stayed in. Comfy Queen size bed. Sofa. Clean bathroom and shower.very quiet too. A huge choice for Breakfast , continental or cooked.£12 taxi to train station.”

“Currently Newport's only chain cinema and one of only two Cineworlds still in operation in the South Wales area (Cardiff, of course, is the other). Very good sound, a large concessions stand, disabled toilets down both screen corridors, seating to use whilst waiting for screens to be cleaned, the usual Baskin Robbins counter, an on-site Starbucks (a fairly new addition during the last few years), ample free parking and some rather friendly staff are all plus points of this venue. It's undergone a huge renovation since the olden days but it still retains the same spirit. Give it a visit and see!”

“Best curry house in Newport. Food is delicious, cooked fresh and great flavour. All the staff are so helpful and on the ball. Service is excellent. There were 11 of us in total and not a single thing wrong with any of our meals. Thank you again for a great meal!”

“First time visiting Bragu Cafe. Ordered the maxi breakfast, kids breakfast, English tea & a Nutella hot chocolate. Food was delicious, especially the spicy sausage & chicken bacon. Everything was cooked to perfection & I'm very particular about how my food's cooked. Modern clean interior, reasonably priced food & drink and good customer service. Will definitely be back!”

“On my way home I crossed this park, after a busy day at work a little relaxation surrounded by nature. Flowers, birds, the wind whistling through the branches of the trees, everything green and quiet. The park is large, has toilets, a playground for children, clean and well maintained. Magnolia, daffodils and other flowers color the park.”

“The menu is varied with good sized portions especially for Sunday Lunch. A 10% service charge is automatically added to your bill so be aware of this. If you want a cheap meal then this maybe not the place to go, but check their online menu. Tables are well spaced out with plenty of room between them and the chairs we had were very comfortable.”

“Good spot for a walk, takes about 20 minutes to orbit the pond. Path is properly surfaced, broad and step free. Best part - the flower meadow near the car park, see photos (mid-September).”

We booked at short notice and the staff were so accommodating even giving us a private area for our party of 17, where we were also able to watch the football. “This may seem a strange occasion for leaving a review, but we had the post-funeral wake for my mum at the Ridgeway recently and they looked after us as well as we could have asked. We booked the cold buffet and this was excellent. A range of well filled sandwiches and rolls (we asked for veg and non-veg), quiches, salad, and some delicious delicacies, and then cakes to follow. It was more than enough for the numbers we ordered, even with many going back for more. The service was excellent. A very busy bar was looked after very efficiently by the staff, who were friendly and helpful through the afternoon and evening. No one wants to plan for a wake, but the team at the Ridgeway looked after us beautifully.”

“Me and my partner visited today (4th of October). We enjoyed so much, girl servicing was so nice, polite and helpful. Food was outstanding!!!! I've had steak which was exactly as I like it, there was no trouble when we asked for my chips to be cooked a bit more, Dave had mix grill, everything was cooked to perfection!!!! Beer was nice too. We will highly recommend this pub to everyone. Thank you very much.”
