“The Flowerpot is one of Derby’s gems. Fantastic live music in an intimate setting, with great sound and atmosphere every single night. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the service is always quick despite how busy it gets. A brilliant range of beers on tap, plus good value for money. The crowd is lively but respectful, creating a great vibe whether you’re here for a gig or just a pint. Consistently an excellent night out – easily one of the best venues in Derby. I really hope they’ll consider creating more opportunities for private functions here as I can think of no better place to host a special occasion.”

“Excellent pub, great for family gatherings, weddings, and funeral wakes! The food is delicious, and they even put on some vegan options for me! The front door folds back to allow access for wheelchair users and various accessible toy go to the left of the bar”

“Cash only! There is a cash point 4mins away and they have a laminated map to help you. This is a beautiful pub. The garden is lovely and the inside is just perfect. They brew their own beer and it’s very good. It looks a little unwelcoming from the street but as soon as you cross the threshold you are made to feel at home by the friendly staff.”

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon. A traditional pub serving Indian and British food. Was quite busy but had a good atmosphere about, with sky sports on the TVs and a pool table. Menu has a small but decent selection of food which was on our table in about 10 min. Had a regular mixed grill with salt and pepper chips, dipping sauce and naan bread. Portion size is unbelievable and is plenty to fill empty tums, so make sure you're hungry. The pub is clean with a decent selection of ales and lagers located just outside the city centre. Decent price for what we ordered. We didn't need to book a table in advance but may need to on a Sunday afternoon. Overall highly recommended.”

“What a fantastic pub! Really great service, Glenn asked what kind of beer I like and made suggestions based on my reply. The atmosphere was really friendly and though we are not local, only passing through we were made to feel very welcome by staff and customers alike.”

“I really can't speak highly enough about this pub. The man who served us ( I think he may have been the landlord) was fantastic. Personable, funny and just made us feel welcome. The food was simply amazing, wish the portions had been bigger, but maybe that's cause of how good it was. I really can't wait to go back there. Although I do wish they would do a Jägerbomb.”

This pub is very well known for keeping great beer so is a must for any ale drinkers, they've won many awards. It does get very busy especially at weekends, but has a lovely friendly atmosphere. “Been coming to the pub for years and ever since Fiona has taken the pub over it had been booming. Great music playing with live music a lot of the time with James Bond playing on the tv which never goes amiss. So happy to see the pub thriving again it’s a great little place full of locals that will talk to anyone. Would deffo recommend!”

“Had the best night at The Bell for Dining Club! The food was absolutely amazing – every course was spot on and so tasty. Big shoutout to Max and Jack in the kitchen – you guys smashed it. The staff were all lovely and made the whole evening feel super relaxed and fun. Honestly can’t fault a thing – just great vibes, incredible food, and brilliant service from start to finish. Already planning our next visit. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out!”

“Stumbled across this in the middle of a spontaneous walk. Popped in for some pints and lunch and would certainly recommend. Prices are very reasonable for todays economic environment. But this wasn't at the detriment of quality. All the food we had was great. Again refreshing to see traditional boozers serving great meals at decent prices. Thank you.”
