“I was visiting Barnes with my kids to explore the lovely Wetlands site, and my 15-year-old discovered this amazing café-bakery on Instagram, The Base, right in the heart of the village. OMG, what a find! The place is beautiful, the food absolutely delicious, and the prices are great value. I wish we had somewhere like this where I live! The friendly waiter told us that all the breads and cakes are made in-house, and even their coffee is roasted on-site. You can really taste the difference. Congratulations to everyone behind this wonderful business, it’s clear how much love and hard work has gone into creating such a special place.”

“Thank you so much Jon and Mitch for helping to sort me and my rabble for my wedding! You were absolutely brilliant and patient with all the blokes and the kids. Every step was smooth, polite, and effortless. The deposit and payment process was explained well and in good time. At one point, I enquired if I could add additional groomsmen at the original quoted rate (over a year ago). I had no expectation that this would be possible, seen as suit rental prices had understandably increased due to the recent year's cost of living increase. But Jon honoured his original prices. I'd call that above and beyond the call of duty and excellent customer service! I was totally chuffed that Jon was able to come to our venue on the morning of our wedding and make sure that our ties and button hole flowers were set properly. Something which I understand you haven't done since covid and wasn't part of my booking, so a nice surprise for me. That was the cherry on the cake. It meant that there was one less thing to have to worry about. Mitch is also a credit Jon Paul. He is polite, attentive and a good conversationalist. Just what you want! Anyone thinking of using Jon Paul Swadlincote, I strongly advise you do! Get them booked!!”

“The salon/spa is a little hidden gem in burton. Just on the outskirts of the town centre can be hard to spot. I love going here for some pampering. I’ve had many different treatments here brows, make up, manicure, pedicure. All have been excellent. Prices are also reasonable. Today I wanted to reviewed as I have come away so pleased with my nails. I am going to a ball with a gatsby theme. I asked them to do something to match the theme. Was no trouble and I love the creation they came up with. Classy and elegant. Would always recommend and the staff are all so lovely and welcoming. Thank you”

Was very impressed and happy with the service we received from staff especially manager Chloe who did an exchange for us straight away. “I called into phase eight in Derby on the off chance they had accessories to go with a dress I had previously bought. Whilst having a look around the shop I fell in love with a gorgeous dress ideal for my daughter’s wedding. Lynn assisted me and was absolutely great. She helped with the dress choice and matched my final choice with some gorgeous accessories. She helped with colours and offered great advice for a MOB attending an April wedding. I would highly recommend phase eight for any outfit but particularly for a special occasion. A big thank you to Lynn, I knew I wasn’t entirely happy with my dress before coming into store. But with your help and advice I feel amazing and so excited for the big day!”

“Paper Doll is my very favourite shop for miles around. Marine is just lovely and beyond helpful. She always suggests ideas and possible things I might like which I generally do!!! It’s always so nice to see her. The clothes are beautiful and unusual. This is a really unique boutique with lovely energy and a great vibe x. There is loads to choose from and a good range of sizes. It almost feels like a spa experience when I visit and even if I dont see anything to buy, (which is rare) it’s worth going to. The stock all year round is class. Top place. Do visit this gorgeous place x”

“I went to Twistin’ Tots Christmas Party for the second time this year, as me and my daughter enjoyed it so much last year. Jacqui is so enthusiastic and full of energy, and really interactive with the kids making for a very special party. The Christmas songs and games are very imaginative and full of fun, and all the kids seemed to be having a great time! Would love to go again. My daughter loved it, and so did I!”
