“This charming and comfortable restaurant inside the Scotch Whisky Experience is a wonderful place. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and service throughout our dinner was exceptional. Both my husband and I got a 2-course meal. We started with the sea trout, which was very fresh and perfectly cooked. It was served with a potato cake, and fresh peas with fennel and a lovely white sauce. The dish was beautifully composed and presented. My husband had a 15-year-old whiskey, while I had lovely craft whiskey cocktail. For dessert, I had the chocolate whiskey tart and my husband had the sticky toffee pudding. Both were excellent. A perfect dining experience.”

I ordered chicken chinese mushroom udon noodles with a fried egg and they were absolutely amazing, probably the best I have ever had. “Can't believe I've never came here before. Been seriously missing out. This is hands down the best and most authentic neopoliton pizza in Edinburgh. It's not even a competition. The dough was perfectly cooked. Light. Crispy. Tasty. The quality of the bread in general was just amazing. The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was great too. Perfect for a date night, or special occasion. If you are a pizza guy like me then this is a must visit in Edinburgh. I would imagine that you will be as impressed as i was. 10/10”

“After travelling for 4 months, we were hanging for some good Japanese food. This place was everything we wanted. Fresh sashimi, great sushi rolls everything was excellent. The restaurant has beautiful decor and the service was attentive. Would highly recommend.”

“Excellent sushi, some of the best I had in Scotland. Smallish sized place with some nice window seats. Staff was attentive and friendly. They kept the water coming too, a bonus on a hot day. Rolls were on the large side too, so quite filling. Well worth the stop.”

“First time here for a solo treat for myself, I was warmly welcomed. As I looked through the menu, it was a tough decision to decide what to eat. I asked for help and Tyson (my waiter) kindly helped advise me make a decision. Didn’t take long, service was quick. Overall delighted with my Ramen, I went for the Steak Takati! “We stopped by Tuk Tuk for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent — friendly and attentive from start to finish. We shared the chaat as an appetizer, which was fresh and full of flavor, and then had Dal Makhni with garlic naan for our main course. The portion sizes were generous, and the dal was perfectly creamy and delicious. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Indian food!”

“We visited LaSalute just after the new owners taken over. I had been before and found it lovely. I was pleased to see it had been renovated to a high standard. I had the mushroom bruschetta and mushroom pasta done in a tomato pasta sauce My son had the calamari followed by chicken in white wine sauce. We both had a lovely meal and will be back to samle a desert next time as was stuffed. Good luck to the new owners, we will definitely be back”

“Great place to sit and enjoy some top quality pizza in the sun. Not the best pizza I've had in Edinburgh but definitely in the top 3. Gets difficult to choose at that high level. The young lass who served us was great and very friendly. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a proper pizza. Great for a lunch with friend, birthday or even a special occasion. I'll definitely be back.”

“Came here on the off chance we could get a quick and tasty meal, I have to say our experience was near perfect, the staff were pleasant and polite, the food was very tasty, we had lasagne and pizza with skinny fries. My lasagne was delicious and my partners Pizza was just as nice, the fries were cooked perfectly, on our way out we had a lovely chat with the gentleman who served us and he was pleasant, polite and made us feel welcome to return. only issue we had was my partner likes her pizza a little bit more cooked/charred but that is not a fault of the chef we forgot to advise. To finish my review I would like to say if you want good food and good value for money you cannot go wrong with this wee restaurant.”

“Homely food and atmosphere. We had pork kimchi jigae and ttukbaegi bulgogi (what you can see in the video) which were both hearty and superbly flavoured. Very reasonably priced. Rice was perfect. Also they were very accomodstjng to my gf partner. Pop in for lunch or dinner if you've got a chance - you won't regret. Will be going back here soon!”

“I came to Edinburgh for 3 days and really wanted to have fish and chips by the beach. And it was amazing! The portion was too big for me though, so I took my time before I finished it, haha. It was so delicious! Totally recommend. If you are not really hungry, though, you might want to consider taking a small (kid's size) portion, which is just £5.”

“We went to hike Arthur Hill and while coming back, we chose the quickest way to Princess Streat. At the Meadowbank House bus station, we have this little treasure. When you walk into this place, you feel welcome. You feel special. You feel good. The owner welcomes you with a smile and lovely food recommendation. Even offered us free tea to sip while the food was being prepared. Very generous. Scotland weather and tea are meant to be best friends. I've ordered their momos with hot sauce and a chicken chowmin. Both turned out great and I am feeling so good heading into the rain. Thank you for the great meal and hospitality!”

“Ok, WOW. A very unexpected, amazing food experience. Looking in for the first time, you think???? But then …… Oskar (the chef) was absolutely delightful. Customer service was through the roof and the food… Well, the kebab was just superb, the chips thick and crunchy, and the sauces were so good, my son also couldn’t fault his burger. Oskar fed our group with a range of dishes all so tasty and homemade. This must be my best hidden gem of a find EVER!!! Just WOW. I’m so looking forward to a follow up visit. Unfortunately, this might have ruined me for alternative Turkish/Kurdish dining, FOREVER!!! FYI: as you can see, I finished it all. Not sure how cause it was massive.”
