“Absolutely outstanding meal at Bruntons restaurant , Stobbs Mill Inn! Emily, our waitress, was friendly, attentive, and made the afternoon extra special. The Peking Duck was perfectly cooked, the Bruschetta fresh and flavorful, and the prawn cocktail was a classic done right. We finished with a heavenly Eton Mess — light, sweet, and delicious. Five stars all round!”
“Clean and quiet and fun We went with our 3 children all under 10. The wigwams themselves were clean and comfortable. They look out onto a hay field. There are animals on the farm, but you can choose to interact with them or not. Once my 3 year old discovered there were sheep she could be face to face with, that was it. The owners are all extremely patient, friendly and knowledgeable. If you have any questions about places to go and things to do, they can help you out. The kitchen has almost everything you could need for cooking. There is an indoor entertainment room with games, a TV and table tennis. There is an outside playground. And the toilets and showers are all very clean. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay outside of the city.”
“Unlike Charlotte Sq at the other end of George St this is very definitely open to the public and as a result feels like a vital piece of greenery in the city centre , its always busy with visitors , shoppers and office workers enjoying the open spaces and /or a coffee from the small costa shack”
“If I could get the best surprise trip for my birthday, a huge chunk of it goes to Just B! An unconventional place run by exceptional people, Karo & Jeff along with their 2 adorable dogs, Sky & Blue! The welcome we received was the sign that we were going to have a great time here. I'd recommend everyone should have an experience of this place at least once.”
“Lovely to explore the well tended gardens. Fantastic little additional adventure on the forest walk. With some really stunning architectural prices to discover. The sun dials are amazing, crisp detailing on 400+ year old stonework. More hidden sculpts hint at the monastery that was here before.”
“We visited as a family of 6, ranging in age from 2-70. The park was suitable for everybody to visit. We went for refreshments (overpriced) in a nice cafe onsite. We went on the train round the park, which was good fun and informative. We fed the animals, who are quite tame and interested in people (lovely). We used the trampoline, soft play, go-carts, log swing, sand pit, family bikes, musical forest, big chair and gift shop. The weather was nice and the overall day was very enjoyable”
“Lovely clean, spacious rooms.Ate in The Pub.Food, drink and service really good.We were served by Emma who was lovely, very friendly and smiley.Would definately stay here again.”
“Free parking at the right hand side (coop shop)than you need to go down the seaside, the view is stunning, would recommend to visit if you’re at Edinburgh”
“Fantastic park. When you're traipsing around the city all day looking at monuments and have a tired little person, they just want to play! This park is the perfect relaxing spot. Tables, green space, ample equipment, toilets. Ticks all the boxes.”
“Small lighthouse at the entrance to Newhaven Harbour on the Firth of Forth. Made from cast iron and finished in 1878, it was decommissioned in 1942. There is no entry for visitors, but Forth Ports have relit it with coloured lights, which makes for a pleasant spectacle.”
“My husband & I absolutely enjoyed the tour Sep 10 2025 our guide explained the beautiful castle & it’s three interesting previous owners really well & he encouraged any questions from guests the gardens were wonderful a joy to see if you are visiting Edinburgh we recommend it”
“We came for Sunday lunch. The food was very good. The service was discrete and there when you needed it. We're there tiny niggles, of course, the potatoes served with my roast beef were not Roux standard, the asparagus risotto was a bit tight and lacked a bit of zing. The vegetarian courses lacked protein. But these are tiny things in a tapestry of happiness, from the entry, to the coffee, to the pics in the lovely garden it was a day's life in a country mansion and we left very pleased. We loved the lounge with the books and fire and could happily have stayed forever.”
“It's a hidden gem. A realitvely quite small garden in the busy Royal Mile area down to the Holyrood Palace. Next to the old Church where Adam Smith was burried. There are some seating areas. A good spot to calm yourself.”
“Highland tour in English. Very well organised tour. Aidan, our guide was very informative, fun and professional.”
“My husband I had the best time touring the Highlands of Scotland. Our guide and driver Brendon(BDog) was fantastic and kept our interest through out the journey. Highly recommend the "Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands Day Tour from Edinburgh" to anyone looking to cover the Scotland Highlands in a single day.”
“Absolutely stunning cinema with great feel to it. I particularly like that less known movies are also shown. Lovely experience that would have been even better if staff had been a little friendlier. Also, the seats are very large so that even bigger bodied people can fit comfortably. All in all recommend!”
“I went in to buy something and had to get it delivered in, the man who helped me was very helpful and when I went in today to collect my order the two men working provided fast service and were very nice.”
“Excellent space for creative arts for children and the youths.”
“Ten years ago, my family and I stopped by on a whim while visiting Rosslyn Chapel. We were wowed by the food and have been talking about it ever since. On this recent trip to Scotland, we purpose planned our visit to this gem of a restaurant. The ambiance is wonderful, the food is delicious and it feels like home. You will not be disappointed. I had the steak pie, which had large and tender chunks of beef and a fantastic puff pastry on top. My wife had the fish & chips which was flakey and so yummy. Both came with French Fries (chips) and a veg. The food was as good as we remembered and we’ll be coming back the next time we’re here.”
“My daughter and I went on the 3-Day Loch Ness & Isle of Skye Tour from Edinburgh, with Tiegan as our guide and driver. The seats in the van are super comfortable, and the large windows let you really take in the view while Tiegan managed the driving and told us about where we were going, as well as interesting stories and local legends. The countryside is beautiful, and the roads are small and windy, so it was great to have an experienced and safe driver navigating the roads, while we just relaxed and admired the scenery. She drove us along, and we had many chances to stop and hike, get a bite to eat, use the restroom, etc. It was really relaxing and all us riders were able to completely enjoy and appreciate the places we visited without having to worry about travel routes, timing to reach destinations, etc. And there were many stops in the 3 days of the tour! I couldn’t have planned a better tour! It was perfect! Thanks to our wonderful guide, Tiegan! I’m the kind of person who usually plans my own trips out, but I did not know much about Scotland, and the cost of this tour was just a little bit more than if I had booked my own hotel stays for the 2 nights, so we decided to book this tour. I am so glad we did! I highly recommend this tour! I could not have seen or learned anywhere near as much on my own.”
“What a tour... First of all, we had the chance to have a new bus, it was so wonderful and modern. The hours sitting on the bus went by very quickly. Secondly, our driver Ali P was so kind and a very good guide. Thanks to her we learned so many things about Scotland and the Highlands. Thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism ! All the stops were magical, especially the Loch Ness (Fort Augustus) of course (but all of them also !). The meal was delicious and there is vegetarian option so amazing !”
“The staff was superb helping us out, gave great recommendations. Short walk to the bust stop making it easy to get to downtown Edinburgh. We have camped all over the United States and now have 10 days in Scotland under our belt. This facility has the best and cleanest bathrooms/showers anywhere.”
“Fantastic park to let your four legged friend run around. Our dog loves it.”
“Bought slabs Sighthill (new store so not listed yet) and delivered by Loanhead. Great service. Cheaper than other suppliers. Staff at Sighthill were extremely helpful and friendly.”
“This is a lovely B&B with great transport links into the centre. David is an absolutely wonderful host. So accommodating and friendly, he really made the stay so lovely. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quintessential Scottish experience. The house is a lovely period property, and the bed is sooo comfy!! I had such a great sleep. David made the breakfast to order and it tasted wonderful. He took my dietary requirements on board. I would definitely stay here again.”
“Staff were very friendly. We were looking for materials to do our own patio and Chris offered some very helpful advice as well as cheaper deals than online prices. I would definitely recommend going in store if you are looking to do a patio.”
“We booked 2 tours with Scottish Guided Tours and couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. Niall created a wonderful tour for us including Stirling castle, a distillery and the lowlands complete with a hairy coo for my daughter! He catered to my family’s special needs and was very knowledgeable about everything Scottish. The next day we traveled to St.Andrews with Mike and had a great time exploring. He was very accommodating for my disabled mom and even stopped at a pharmacy for her to pickup some allergy medicine. Both days had a little bit of everything for each of my family members. My husband and I can’t wait to come back and explore the highlands and would absolutely use Scottish Guided Tours again in a heartbeat.”

“Quick to reply to our email, very friendly and super helpful, can highly recommend! We picked up two tree stumps to use as chopping blocks for our firewood and they’re great - and very reasonably priced. Glad to have such a great sawmill on our doorstep!”
“The 4 of us had a great time: super responsive team (all planned over WhatsApp!) the program was well planned and balanced; great recommendations for distilleries, accommodations, lunches and dinners. A good variety of whiskeys and distilleries; AND of course, an amazing guide Scott! Well articulated (for non native English speakers!), full of energy, anecdotes and jokes; and very patient with us! Absolutely memorable!”
