βSuper friendly staff, good range of cold beers, well over a dozen big screens, darts, pool, snooker... and hot pies! What's not to love?β
βFor the price, this place was perfect. We had a great night sleep, comfy pillows, 24 hour bar, and breakfast. We stayed in luxury stays for most of our trip but stopped here before the airport. Felt like we wasted some money other places after staying here, it always feels risky booking a place thatβs cheaper but we were incredibly satisfied with everything.β
βGood basic rooms. Both restaurants and shops nearby and situated quite close to the city centre. Some parking on site and exceptional helpful, friendly and plain happy hostsβ
βGreat company and a great holiday. Flights were on time both ways. Friendly and welcoming staff.β
βGreat night out. Had a wedding reception here and celebrated family anniversary. Lovely staff. Good music. Nice seating arrangement.β
βBooked this hotel very last minute after staying in what was the worst hotel I've ever visited. Happy with the price which although is expensive, isn't that bad for Edinburgh. The hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants but I didn't hear any of this from my room (I was on the fourth floor). The reception staff were polite and informative, giving me the details I needed for my stay and informing me where the room was. Unlike other boutique hotels in Edinburgh I've stayed at there is a lift (elevator for our American friends). The entire hotel is clean and fresh wish lush carpets (makes me assume was recently upgraded). My room was very generous, high ceilings and a very comfortable bed. There is an iron and ironing board, kettle with tea and coffee etc. (as you would expect). I would very happily stay here againβ
βFabulous venue and very different. Great pianist playing classic songs in his own twist. Very clean, really good funβ
βIt's a Homeless Hostel The Highest Standard possible, yes they may be people there with addiction and alcohol problem's, I'm staying here for some time and the staff and place deserve 4.5 starβ
βFriendly atmosphere, clean rooms, breakfast was delicious. Just remember it's Almond House not Almond Lodge. Central to airport, the Highland center, easy reach for all types of evening meals not far away. Highly recommend. Love the elephant curtains xxβ
βClean, friendly and good choice at breakfast, even a freshly cooked full English if wanted. On a main bus root with buses every few minuets to get into town centre. Very Impressed with management, I had a character picture done with my daughter which fell down and I forgot to pack it and they sent it back down to me. Was not an expensive item but something personal to us.β
βIt's located a little out of town, but there is a bus stop literally right on the other side of the street, so that wasn't an issue. The owner was lovely and always helpful, the rooms clean and tidy.β
βOur stay at Haystack hostel was excellent! This hostel is the tiniest in Edinburgh, giving it a cozy vibe. The dorms and living room reflect this coziness, giving ample opportunity to rest in between your travels. The toilets and showers are squeaky clean and (not unimportant): there is warm water! However, the highlight to our stay was undoubtedly the kitchen. It has everything you need and more! Fridge, cutlery, pots, pans, ovens, a microwave and tons of freebies left by previous visitors. To top everything off, the staff are friendly and welcoming. They accompany you to your dorm and give an extensive tour. Additionally, they are knowledgeable about the city and give good tips on the best places to go out!β
βCushy dwelling suited for the savvy traveller. Cheap, cosy rooms (Β£50 for a single Saturday night with breakfast). My room was in the basement and had a modern en suite shower. There was an endless dull noise from the stairs of a morning but that was my only complaint. Service is casual. I like casual. Casual is normal. I'd stay here again.β
βGreat room and location. I had a reservation for a room for 3 persons. Our room had bunk beds, and a queen bed, super comfortable, and clean. We also, had a great view and the location was at a walkable distance to the old town as well as new Edinburgh.Customer service was great and price was affordable. Great place over all.β
βInside the community centre. One Barber inside. Helpful and great priceβ
βI stayed here a few months ago now. It is a really nice place. Room was wonderful, clean with plenty of space. The breakfast was lovely too. The surrounding area is beautiful. The owner is very nice and makes you feel at home. I would recommend and stay here again.β
βI've never visited. But I know a beautiful property and used regularlyβ
βgood bit of craic, lovely people!!β
βJust perfect! The breakfast left nothing to be desired, the room was very spacious, large bathroom with bathtub. The hosts Rae and Peter were very welcoming and accommodating. It is a 5 minute walk to the bus stop and Edinburgh Castle is about 15 minutes, we would come back anytime.β
βWould recommend this house to everyone warm and cosy very welcomingβ
βI studied engineering systems at this college. The staff are very nice and you can tell they want you to succeed. The classrooms and work stations are well equipped. Regretfully I dropped out of my course early, but hope to go back to this college in the near future.β
