“Used to go here often until I moved a little further away, but I wanted Neveah to do my hair for graduation. The lady who was supposed to be doing my hair was poorly (hope you're feeling better!) so last minute they had to shuffle some appointments. I was completely accommodated and looked after, my appointment still ran on time and my hair looked amazing! You relieved a lot of stress for me and my hair stayed exactly where you put it. “You must stay at this hotel! Not only is the location absolutely perfect, the room is so smartly designed and the beds were so comfortable. The decor was absolutely fantastic as well. Despite its location, the hotel was very quiet. The staff were super wonderful and helpful, and gave us great recommendations for food and drink along with some fun history about Edinburgh (a special shout-out to Martin). Location is really good, 3 min walk to haymarket to get all buses/trams and trains. We used 2 taxi in 4 days. Will definitely recommend again. “This was a fantastic hotel in a very great central location to the west end and the main highways. The service was exceptional from all staff, particularly Alexander, who made our visit special. The food, two breakfasts and a dinner, were amazing and the bar was quaint. The room amenities were above board, including drinks, snacks, cleanliness and service. We will definitely stay here again when we return. Five star all the way.”

“We were walking by this place and were drawn in by the live music. Stevie was playing all kinds of good energetic songs. We popped in for a beer and stayed for a few more. Staff was efficiently serving drinks even though they were pretty busy. Met some friendly people. Had a great time!”

“As a women, I highly recommend this place! I have never felt uncomfortable and often come by myself to work. Great vibe, best shisha in Scotland, the staff are very friendly and always welcoming, food /desserts are always spot on and the service is excellent. The owner always makes sure you get a good experience. Great place for a night out or to sit and crack on with some work or even to watch the boxing or footy. The ambience is even better since the recent refurbishment! The staff here are really welcoming and look after me. I note that the shisha boys Asif, Daniyal, Sameer and Hammad always keep note of customers shisha preferences and will make their shishas accordingly to their taste using the specific quantity of flavours which makes for a unique experience. I have been in Glasgow for the day and will still come through to Edinburgh Urban Lounge for this very reason as the boys know what I like. Similar, I look forward to coming back to Urban Edinburgh for a shisha when I've been down south. Coal changes are prompt, head changes are prompt, service is impeccable. The front of house staff, Jatin, Amal and Fatima are fabulous! Very caring and attentive in their approach. They know regular customer's orders, will always fo rounds to check if customers need anything and clean up as they do. Their food is on point and comforting.”

Gail skillfuly determined the curl size that would work best for my lash length and eye shape, and was very friendly throughout the appointment and made it a relaxing and pleasant experience. My lashes look even better a few days after my appointment!”

“Great salon and because of where it is plenty of space to park without charge. Lovely look inside, they've really thought of everything to make it a relaxing and welcoming space. Lots of nice finishing touches like charging points at each station and hooks for bags down to having cans of juice available instead of just tea and coffee and massage chairs when getting your hair washed. Sunnie the stylist did an excellent job, clearly knows what she's talking about and did a great job as did Eve who was also on hand to help.”

“Last August I spent a week at Emmaus House. It is a place of great hospitality. Janet and Andrew are very welcoming and hospitable. I felt very much at home. They are always there for every guest. Both helped me with the information I needed and the language. Our breakfast was a wonderful time, every day there were different people from different countries, so there were many experiences shared. It felt like a family. I had the opportunity to share other’s experiences and joy. It was a brilliant time. On my last day there, Janet cooked a delicious supper for us. I made friends there and I would like to go back and spend some days with them. I greatly recommend Emmaus House. Rosemeire Dos Reis”

“Hampton by Hilton, Edinburgh Airport This is my second stay at the Hampton by Hilton, and it continues to impress. The hotel is well-appointed, quiet, clean, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The breakfast is exceptional, offering a great variety of options. Unfortunately, on this particular evening, there was a group of young people in their early 20s on our floor who were slamming doors and being loud and obnoxious. After tolerating the noise for two hours, I decided to call reception. They responded immediately and took swift action to resolve the situation. The night staff handled it efficiently, providing exceptional service. Despite this isolated incident, I highly recommend this hotel for its overall quality and excellent service.”
