“This long overdue review is finally being written because I'm thinking back of the wonderful 3-night stay I had at the end of August. :) The twin room was cozy, warm, and quiet after spending full days in Edinburgh. Oh and the Tunnock's caramel wafer biscuit and hot chocolate were welcome treats to return to and warm up to. LORNA IS WONDERFUL!! Every morning she made sure we started our day with her delicious breakfast offerings. Even though we had a car we opted to walk 10 minutes to the bus stop and take it to the city center. I enjoy walking out not surrounded by hotels and busy streets. It was nice feeling like a local and taking the 30 minute or so bus in. I highly recommend a stay and look forward to my next visit to Lorna and Whitecroft B & B! :)”

“Been in Scotland for 11 years, used these for 10.. both for mot and repairs as needed. They have a reasonable hourly rate and competitive mot charge .. but it's the efficiency, tenacity and the conscientious attitude they have that makes them one of the top garage services in a wide area in my opinion. I've always thought them to be honest and very straight forward in their assessment of repairs and have never thought I'd been charged or pushed into any unnecessary work being done.”

“Our wedding reception dinner at The Bonham was splendid. The staff were exceptionally helpful and worked with us beforehand to make sure everything went perfectly. The dinner itself was quite possibly the finest we’ve experienced. The food was delicious, and the service was seamless. Cannot recommend enough, and we will be returning if we’re ever in Edinburgh again.”

“Absolutely perfect! The location is ideal. The rooms are impeccable. The staff, wow where to start? From the moment you walk in the staff is extremely welcoming kind and warm. The personnel at the bar is so friendly and fun, Leon & Lauren are the best, what a treat this stay was. I recommend 100%. Can’t wait to go back.”

“First of all, the location is fantastic. It's right across from St. Giles Cathedral and is always crowded. As a woman, walking alone at night or early in the morning wasn't a problem. The rooms and restrooms are very clean. The bunk beds have curtains, like capsules, which is great for privacy. All the staff are very sweet and friendly. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very comfortable and safe. However, it's an expensive hostel. Not so budget-friendly. The cafe/restaurant part isn't exactly a common area, so you can't comfortably eat or drink what you buy from outside.”

“Visited tonight to see the Wizard of Oz absolutely fabulous show what a great night the kids, 2 and 3, had a ball it was their first time at anything like this and the team were amazing. The venue is beautiful staff super helpful and friendly and the restraunt food was delicious well worth a visit”

“(Solo female traveller) This was my first experience using a hostel and it was great. The staff are very friendly and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean and it was convenient to have secure lockers in the rooms to store items that I didn't want to carry around all day. The curtain fits well around the bottom of the bed and I felt no issues with personal safety etc. The only negative I can think of would be that the keypads beep when you use them - helpful during the day, annoying at night. However, I am a light sleeper, even with earplugs. I decided to book here again on the return leg of my journey, so it really wasn't that much of an issue!”

“Underrated hotel! The room was huge, had a big bathtub, a double bed, a bunk bed, and even a couch — all for just £100. Super good value. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location’s great too, just a short walk to the tram station and about 25 minutes to the city center. Also loved having my own fridge and access to a 24-hour kitchen. Would definitely stay again.”

“For the most part I dislike Stockbridge, finding many places quite pretentious. Vino is one of the exceptions. The staff are exceptional. Friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Plus they are dog friendly and always have treats ready. Not the cheapest, but the selection is great, and if you really wanted supermarket prices then go to a supermarket. It is a genuine pleasure every time I come here. Couldn't recommend this place higher.”

“20plus stars they need. Wonderful people run this place. Greatest to stay in Scotland. Easy transportation. Everything leads to Edinburgh. Grocery store Morrison nearby. You'll meet many cultures here. French to Germany, Africa. Breakfast is long lasting. You'll enjoy Ewan and his wife. Allow them to know your dietary needs. The garden is great. They have wonderful dogs.”

“Never received such good service! I was in the market for a new vape as my old one was a bit old and was on it's way out. Both the guys serving me were really nice and explained everything in great detail and answered any questions I had. After buying an awesome curve vape, they threw in free liquid, a free case and gave me a loyalty card I will actually use! They also offer 15% discount if you work in the public services. All in all, a 5 star service rating. Couldn't be happier!”

Rooms are very comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, and you feel pampered and taken care of. A wonderful way to experience Scotland!”
