“What a great wee pizza place we found at random. Also do great burgers and the artsy vibe the place has got is pretty brilliant. If it’s a voice between here or any other pizza/burger place near here then come here”
“Went in with my groomsmen and my dad for some shirts for my wedding and we were sized up and assisted by David. He was brilliant really helpful and down to earth, there was no hassle getting or sizes and fit we liked and when my shirt arrived it fitted perfectly. We all got a great price on each shirt too. Really happy will definitely be back. Thank again.”
“The Lodge Coffee House – A Caffeinated Trip into the Surreal Nestled in the caffeinated underbelly of Edinburgh lies The Lodge Coffee House, a stone sanctum where time sips itself backwards and espresso machines hum ancient jazz riffs. Upon entering, we were greeted by Mick, a man forged from equal parts kindness, bacon, and 80's nostalgia. Like a caffeinated Gandalf, he emerged from the steam with eyes full of welcome and hands full of bacon barms. He threw them at us, not aggressively, but like a benevolent goblin flinging gifts at chosen mortals. The coffee.... the coffee. Brewed by a barista who may have once been a shaman, the flat white shared secrets. The atmosphere, like being hugged by a velvet bear in a log cabin built by monks who understand everything. We had a chat with Mick about life, meat, and the nature of gravy. At one point, he levitated slightly while describing his sausage procurement strategy. The location is prime, trees bowed politely as we sipped. In short, The Lodge is not just a coffee house. It’s a mystical experience wrapped in cured meat and friendliness. Five out of five cosmic beans. Would definitely go again.”
“It literally has everything you need in one shop. It's truly impressive. And the staff is lovely”
“in sickness and health, Amall Supermarket is there for all ur needs. top tier”
“This venue is absolutely stunning, from the moment you walk through the entrance to the beautifully designed courtyard and the impressive assembly hall itself. The attention to detail in the architecture and decor makes it a truly memorable location for any event. We had the pleasure of attending a performance of Shrek Burlesque (Swamplesque) here, and the hall provided the perfect atmosphere for such a unique and entertaining show. The acoustics were excellent, and the seating offered great views from every angle. I couldn’t recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a top-notch venue. The staff here are also incredibly helpful and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.”
“An absolute must-stop while in Edinburgh! If King of Feasts is in the kitchen, you'll be treated to some crazy good sandwiches for a solid price. The menu changes regularly, but the aubergine katsu sandwich I had was truly unique, and all the other choices looked pretty special too. Even if you're just heading in for a pint, the welcoming atmosphere will make for a good time and you'll be sure to enjoy yourself. Don't miss out!”
“Staff were friendly and the Pesto + Burrata pizza was amazing! It was ready quickly and reasonably priced It did come with the ingredients arranged more for visuals so I had to spread out the tomato’s and basil, but every ingredient tasted super fresh and delicious. They’re are a bunch of add on ingredients on the menu; but you can’t actually add them onto the pizzas- only if you’re building your own. Not a big deal but if you go for modifications, might not be for you. Overall I would go back and recommend!”
“Fantastic park to let your four legged friend run around. Our dog loves it.”
“Went for the first time today for the driving range, really enjoyed my time and all staff were so lovely! I arrived with nothing, I’ve never played golf and I don’t own a set of clubs. They provided me with everything I needed and all the information. Great place to go and lovely scenery with easy access.”
“Had lovely lunch in Cottars today food lovely and fresh all tasted great very good value and good choice for midweek will definitely be back”
“Lovely wee pub. Great atmosphere. We were there on a Monday so got to see the band playing and have a sing along. Great service from the barmaid too.”
“Comfy sofas, tasty popcorn, great for kids birthday party”
“What an absolutely lovely couple. We felt welcome from the time that my husband and I walked into the Guest House. I celebrated my 50th birthday there and they made it even more special with a lovely bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room on our return from breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend their guest house, it is clean and modern and not far at all from the local amenities. There is a bus stop just to the right of the guest house and the buses are very regular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Ted and Dot they helped make our time in Edinburgh even more special.”
“Always love a browse here. Never short of options.”
“20plus stars they need. Wonderful people run this place. Greatest to stay in Scotland. Easy transportation. Everything leads to Edinburgh. Grocery store Morrison nearby. You'll meet many cultures here. French to Germany, Africa. Breakfast is long lasting. You'll enjoy Ewan and his wife. Allow them to know your dietary needs. The garden is great. They have wonderful dogs.”
“I'm super sad I needed yo leave... that lagoon is so cool and winter dippers are such a friendly support even if u go for that solo... it's nice to see like minded people. I feel alone in Bertha Loch with this. Is cool but lonely.”
“This is a lovely B&B with great transport links into the centre. David is an absolutely wonderful host. So accommodating and friendly, he really made the stay so lovely. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quintessential Scottish experience. The house is a lovely period property, and the bed is sooo comfy!! I had such a great sleep. David made the breakfast to order and it tasted wonderful. He took my dietary requirements on board. I would definitely stay here again.”

“Over the years I have bought many pieces of Caroline’s jewellery. I’ve often saved up to buy bespoke pieces but my goodness have they been a great investment. I still love and wear everything I’ve bought .x”
“A lovely experience for kids and adults. We fed pigs, wallabies, alpacas, goats and held fluffy chicks. The family run farm is friendly and welcoming and the kids just loved getting up close with the animals. There's hand washing facilities, toilets, picnic tables (if you want to bring your own snacks and lunch) and a hut with refreshments available to buy too. Well worth a visit!”
“One of the best pizza places I've eaten at in Edinburgh. Absolutely delicious and very affordable prices. The owner is incredibly nice and will always serve you with a smile! You can find a variety of choices with high-quality ingredients and a beautiful combination of flavours.”
“Liz Anderson is a fantastic host, i never saw anyone being so supportive and helpful. She even dropped me to the new house. She showed flexibility to manage activities when i started working in night shift. I really had best experience at Northcliff.”
“Excellent walking tour of south Queensferry with lots of authentic local stories to bring the history alive. Mark was a great tour guide with an amazing knowledge of the town and bridges making the experience both fascinating and good fun!”
“Incredible experience!!! Marina took us on a journey through Scotland, showing us amazing places and sharing so much knowledge about the country, its customs, and traditions… Thank you, Marina, for your kindness, your availability, your knowledge, and also for the laughs we shared. I highly recommend this excursion, which exceeded our expectations.”
