“This place welcomed me when I left my home country forever, moving there as a student. I found there a place of solace, a place to make friends, a place with good facilities, good management with a plan, organised and nice staff. The place runs well, it is conveniently located within the city and many leisure and culture venues: plus the nice peaceful outings to Calton Hill in the vicinity, top of Leith and Leith Walk pubs to hang out with friends, proximity to tram and train station, yoga places and GP’s. Staff not only good professionals, but also friends at the who helped me transition to the industry life. I cannot stress enough how much I recommend this place. There are common spaces and regularly events were organised to meet up the other mates.”

“This has become our ideal place to stay when visiting Edinburgh. We booked in Aug 2020 and again in Dec 2021. It is the perfect size for our family of three and in a great location for sightseeing, only a few minutes walk from the Castle! It has the most charming interior (and even better since a refurbishment during Spring/Summer 2021). The owners, Brian and Christine keep it in excellent order, it's very clean and well equipped and they are quick to respond to any questions. They even leave you a bowl of chocolate bars on arrival (greatly appreciated by my young son). We will certainly be booking again in the future.”

“Lovely meal at Breizh, excellent food, superb service! We had a generous portion of mussels for starters. Inspired by the other reviews, we decided to give the unique savoury crêpes a try. They were simply delicious, and overflowing with cheese. Our other main, the lamb chops with mushroom risotto was absolutely divine! We finished off with the banana crepe with Jack Daniels sauce, which was also lovely! Would definitely return to try out other menu items at Breizh!!!”

“A peaceful cafe in an otherwise busy city, just on the edge of the old town. A good general selection of cafe pastries, breakfast and light lunch products. Staff is friendly.”

“Great accommodation place in Edinburgh. I booked a regular room but I was upgraded to the Gatehouse and was even greater. The breakfast is excellent and very large. Walking distance to the historic center (for European walking standards) and just by the conference place I was attending.”

“Very nice place with a bit of everything, mainly orientated for play and leasure. I spent a good time in family or by myself in the gym. Birthday party for kids are very usual as well. It is clean and has secure car parking although I found the spaces quite narrow and it can get very busy.”

“My husband and I enjoyed dinner and drinks. We visited on a Sunday evening. We had the panko fried tofu and patatas brava. We had the best sabre and blood rose beverages after dinner. We also enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. Everything was sublime! Service was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.”

“It's a great place to chill. In the center you can find a pond full of life. You can even feed the wildlife if you have bird food with you. There's a good area to enjoy the sun (when there's sun) with your friends or family. It's nearby the Meadowbank so you can always grab a coffee and take a walk around the park.”

“This is a lovely park/grass area to walk and hang out with friends. Obviously very quiet right now but will be a great place to meet when lockdown is over. Lots of places to sit and there are shops and cafes surrounding as well. Beautiful.”

“This place serves up pizza like it hacked into my flavor preferences and rewrote the code. Blue cheese and sriracha on a pizza? I didn’t know I needed that combo in my life until now. It’s like a delicious dare that paid off big time. The vibe? Geeky in the best possible way—like if your favorite comic book store started serving artisanal pizza and had a solid Spotify playlist. Super friendly staff, too. They make you feel like you're part of a secret society of bold flavor enthusiasts. Bottom line: go there. Bring friends. Brag later.”
