“Small nice park. Playground for children. Large trees for shadow.”
“We were walking by this place and were drawn in by the live music. Stevie was playing all kinds of good energetic songs. We popped in for a beer and stayed for a few more. Staff was efficiently serving drinks even though they were pretty busy. Met some friendly people. Had a great time!”
“This spot was lots of fun! They have a great atmosphere and great drinks! The small outdoor section is unique and brings that old town vibe into the establishment. Definitely going back!”
“Absolutely everything here was fantastic! The atmosphere was amazing, the service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious! I got the Hell Ramen, Vegan Tokyo Roll, and a side of Edamame. 11/10, would go there again!”
“Fab food, beautiful setting. Everything was super fresh, yummy and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Would absolutely recommend going here! Service was fairly quick, despite it being busy. I was given a full allergens list, with everything I needed to know about the food. I can’t wait to return here”
“First visit to this restaurant after a recommendation by friends Arrived without a reservation and the staff couldn’t have been nicer, needed table back in 1hr 20mins and that was fine because service was super quick Food was freshly cooked, hot and quite tasty although we weren’t overly impressed with the quality of the meat in the beef and black bean & the fillet steak Cantonese! Unfortunately I’ve had better many times so probably wouldn’t rush back. Nice enough but I do think there are better Chinese restaurants”
“This little gem is located in the great neighborhood of Leith. We tried the Fish and the chicken plates and they were delicious. The fish is the star here and was beautifully cooked crisp and flaky. You have a small counter and stools that you can saddle up to enjoy a great meal. Do not miss out!”
“I recently visited Rustam Restaurant in Edinburgh and had a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with elegant décor that makes it perfect for both a relaxed dinner and a special occasion.”
“Milly, really appreciate and enjoyed your service!!! Excellent choices of whiskey and great choices of veggie burgers. Thank you all for an amazing experience!! Milly, it was great seeing how you served everyone with smile. Very quality food specially vegetarian burger. Thank you team. Definitely a place for everyone to try!!”
“Came here to celebrate an engagement and we were very happy with the food and the service! Had the venison and it was lovely and tender and the portions were very good, did not leave hungry. Alejandro and Pepe were very attentive the whole evening and kept our water glasses topped up which I love. Had a lovely night and the surroundings were very classy. Very pleased with the congratulations message along with our dessert!”
“Shinwari Restaurant in Edinburgh offered a truly delightful experience. The taste of the food was exceptionally good, with authentic flavours that impressed the whole family. Portions were generous, and the service was attentive, making for an overall very good and memorable family meal. Highly recommend for Pakistani cuisine lovers!”
“Lovely ambiance and the food is great! I'm always looking forward to eat here whenever I visit Edinburgh”
“Really friendly staff and outstanding service from the minute we walked in. Was warmly greeted and taken to our table straight away. We had prebooked which I would recommend if you are fancy where you sit. Food was of a very high standard and not too expensive but also not cheap. Good selection of small tapas like plates.”
“The Dog House has such a unique and cozy atmosphere! It’s a great place to relax, with friendly staff and a welcoming vibe. The fact that it's dog-friendly makes it even better—plenty of pups around to brighten your day! The decor is quirky, the drinks are great, and they play old music, which is a huge plus. It really adds to the charm of the place. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Edinburgh”
“Got served by Phoebe, shes lovely! All staff are super friendly and pub is lovely”
“I've only been to the bar and have been calling it The Percy when recommending it to people. But it's also called The Persevere Bar and there's a bar and a restaurant - quite confusing. However, when you get past the branding confusion, the place offers a rich menu with something for every taste. Haven't yet tried some of the Polish dishes but the classics - beef steak or a burger - are amazing and come at a very reasonable price. Service is consistently great and there's a quiet and nice atmosphere despite the sport screens. Dogs are also allowed which makes it extra welcoming.”
“This might be my favourite boozer in Edinburgh…. Local bar vibe during the day, busy in the evening with a mixed crowd enjoying either the cool tunes they play in the bar area, or watching a movie in their “cinema” room. Good times.”
“Amazing shop. Staff are so helpful. I was nervous about changing my dogs onto raw food. They explained everything to me and my dogs LOVE it. The shop is clean and well laid out, with a friendly welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend 100%.”
“Atmosphere is very chilled with wood tables and chairs and stone walls. It is a lot bigger thank it looks from outside. I'd also say once you are past the threshold it's quite inviting, not sure the outside gives that feel. The range of ale/beer is good. The bar staff are very friendly and helpful. I'm not keen on the traditional tasting beers/lagers and the staff suggested the raspberry wheat beer which was delicious and very drinkable. I'd give yourself a good 30 -45 minutes to enjoy one. We were just over £12 for two drinks.”
“The Piper Fish Supper (fish and chips) were excellent. Crispy flakey haddock and the chips were soft on the inside and crunch on the outside. The Steak Pie was savory and flaky. Mash was traditional and very good as well. The gravy finished the dish well. Portions were very filling. Service was great. Atmosphere was great. I’d come back in a heartbeat.”
“Had a nice pint and some good pub food on a Saturday afternoon. The place is fantastic, with fairy lights on the ceiling and walls, and decorations everywhere! That’s typically what you’re looking for when thinking of a comfy medieval tavern! Staff was really nice, food was warm and comforting, and they have Guinness!”
“One of my favorite places in Edinburgh. Great live music, indie rock, Scottish ceilidh and dancing. The bouncers are always super friendly, and the beers are great.”
“Warm and friendly environment with great breakfast and coffee selections. The Latte, Eggs Benedict, and scrambled eggs on toast were all delicious. The waitresses were welcoming and nothing appeared overpriced. Highly recommend this spot for breakfast or brunch.”
“I got help from a host with blonde hair and glasses (didn’t catch her name i’m extremely grateful) on 07/10/25 around 4:50pm who helped me get seated early even though my reservation was at 5:30pm. I just helped by John who told me all the specials and helped me with a wine recommendation. Ended up getting the haggis which were amazing. The steak with was also amazing + added in broccoli also amazing. Desert was sticky toffee pudding which was a great way to end the meal. Extremely satisfied with this restaurant and the staff!”
“We stopped off on the way to Dunbar. A very pretty harbour leading to a lovely soft sandy beach. Great for dogs and children alike. A nice walk along and safe for our dogs to run for a little. We only saw a take away van on the beach itself for food and ice-cream. Would visit again.”
“This place is brilliant. Lots of parking spaces. The toilet is closed now. The Loch is beautiful to walk round lots of ducks & swans to feed. It can be easilu walked round in 20mins with a slow dog. There are also woody walks you can do as lots of foresty areas. The Playpark is just around the corner and it's a good one! Lots for all kids ages to do definately reccommend here.”
“Nice place for a stroll with kids or dog,see squirrels, ducks, swans and plenty other wildlife.Small cafe which is good.”
“What a great menu of food, the staff are very warming and great with the Indian and Nepalese knowledge of cuisine. We had Chicken Pakora and Onion Baji to start then a Lamb Chasni and Chicken Tikka Khardhi. Dishes were well presented and tasted amazing”
