This place never stops conquering my heart, the food remains incredibly tasty and delicious and the coffees are outstanding. Also, the portions are generous for a great price. “I love their pho. We ordered one pho and it was good for the three of us. Then we ordered grilled pork belly with rice. The servings were big. My stomach cannot take much. And the food is flavorful. This is one of my go to places after an exhausting day at work, my comfort food. .”

The food was delicious, perfectly prepared, and truly one of the best we’ve ever had. What made the experience even more special was the wonderful staff. They were so welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. They even brought fresh drinking water for our dog, which was such a thoughtful touch and showed how much they genuinely care about their customers. The warm atmosphere and exceptional service made our visit truly memorable. Whether you're in the area for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I can't recommend The Spotted Duck enough. Normally little shops who have regulars are "off" with newcomers and with my anxiety i cant wait to leave... well not this place I walked in and was greeted like a friend, I felt comfortable (also because the seating is super comfy) plus my little dog was welcome and got a sausage on the house! “Not surprised they got Restaurant of the Year! Being a Greek from down south and staying up in Hull for the weekend. Wanted to see what Greek food was on offer. Wow, The Greek didn't disappoint. We had the sharing platter, halloumi fries and the Calamari. All the meats were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The staff where lovely and the restaurant well well-presented. If you're in Hull and you love good food check it out!”

“There was a welcoming Atmosphere when we arrived. We were welcomed by the staff immediately when doors opened. The pub had a pleasant and warm environment. The food was excellent with generous portions.. We didn’t stay at the accommodation but would have gladly stayed as it is near a number of popular venues. There is a large carpark and free of charge.”

“My family and I have been going to Figaro since it opened and even when it was La Scala back in the day. You really cannot fault the staff or food they are fantastic. There are some foods I have never tasted better anywhere else, their steaks, prawns, tomato garlic breads and since last night, their tiramisu. Their pornstar martinis and liquor coffees are also top tier!! Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed! Booking in again in a few days time for my Birthday, because they’re just too good! :)”

“Been to central 42 many times. Staff are always friendly. My wife is celiac and they have lots of gluten choices for her. The staff are usually very well informed about cross contamination. Loads of choices of delicious food. Good idea to book if its a Saturday or Sunday. But walked in and got a table lots of times aswell. Definitely recommend a visit”

“We had booked in advance for our lunch. Had requested a table with natural light and that was delivered. Perfect. The greeting we received was warm and welcoming. Our table was upstairs. I'm OK with that if I take my time but if you can't do stairs then make sure you ask for a downstairs table. The toilets were on the first floor. Not sure if there were any on the first floor. The food was excellent as was the wine. Thoroughly enjoyed everything we chose. The only slight niggle was it really needed another couple of veggie choices. Did bring this up and was advised that had we told them at the time of booking they would have made more choices available. So if you have any special requests get them in when you book. Well worth a visit!”
