“Visited with my wife, food was excellent as was the service. We will definitely be back. A+++”
“Booked a table here for a birthday meal. Menu varied with something for everybody. Average price is around £15 but meals coming out of the kitchen were massive and could easily feed 2 people. We opted for the Beef Stew and Dumplings and the King Prawn Creamy Pasta. Both were delicious and very very filling. There were desserts available but we had nowhere to put them! Wine is a sensible £14 a bottle. Venue itself was warm and clean and modern. When we finished our meal we took our drinks into the very comfortable Lounge. Highly recommended and we will become more frequent visitors.”
“Lovely staff. Even better sandwiches. Love this place”
“This is a good Chinese restaurant with really friendly staff and a menu with a good range of options. There are dishes that you would see at most Chinese restaurants as well as some that are less common, which is always nice to see. They are happy to make reasonable changes to dishes for you. Allergens are labeled on the menu and we've eaten here several times with no issues with allergen cross contamination, even when we haven't specifically pointed it out. The building is an old English pub so from the outside you might not realise that it is a Chinese restaurant, making it feel like a bit of a hidden gem to me! I've visited several times now and will definitely be going back!”
“Absolutely love it here. It’s the best homemade food around. We went in on Sunday for a break from cooking. We booked a table and it was good job we did as it was busy. Nevertheless everything was spot on as usual the staff were attentive and very friendly. The food was second to none. So Thank you all, See you again soon”
“Amazing place, food always delicious, staff very attentive”
“It was the first time we have done a bottomless brunch and we will definitely be back...it was great. There was 6 of us and from the moment we arrived upto the moment we left, we had great service. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. They were coming round on a regular basis to take our drinks order. All the cocktails we had were really good. Would definitely recommend.”
“I recently visited Ponto Lounge ahead of a visit to Hull New Theatre. I have visited a number of the ‘Lounges’ and have found the dining experience to be consistently great; Ponto was no exception. Staff were welcoming and professional. I have rated the service as average as with QR code ordering and payment you are more or less serving yourself with the exception of the drinks and food being brought to table. The food arrived quickly after ordering despite the restaurant seeming pretty busy and was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was warm and cosy with just the right around of atmospheric lighting (not too dark like other places trying to achieve a similar vibe). I highly recommend Ponto Lounge to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Hull.”
“Fantastic delicious Indian food , definitely will come back , thank you Marina”
“Really delicious food, nice atmosphere! Would definitely recommend!”
“Our first visit was around a year ago now after we watched a livestream on youtube. We have visited almost every week since. Over our many visits I have managed to work my way through the menu and tried pretty much everything on there. I can honestly say there isn't a single thing that I haven't liked. I've even been lucky enough to try specials when available. Everything I have tasted has been delicious. But the dumplings and wontons are just out of this world. We live 2 hours away and make the journey to visit here. I have never been in a takeaway where you can watch the chefs cook and if you can it's a need to see. The stuff they can do is amazing. They're a wok master and queen of the wok for good reason. The family is so friendly and helpful and have even offered us advice for making things at home. If you haven't been you are missing out. I would move to Hull just so I could eat here every night. Highly recommend the Boazi if they're available and the crispy chilli beef is one of my favourite dishes.”
“Booked a table for 20 with Garbutts for our work anniversary and every meal was lovely. The food came out fast and correct and was cooked to perfection. I think we ordered almost everything on the menu between us and not one person was disappointed. The staff went above and beyond, they were attentive and friendly. I wouldn't think twice about recommending Garbutts to anyone. Thank you”
“I had a fantastic experience at Butler Whites. easily one of Hull’s best spots for great food and atmosphere. The menu was creative and everything we ordered was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The industrial-chic setting adds to the charm, making it perfect for both a relaxed meal or a special night out. A special mention to Emme, who made the evening even better with her outstanding service. She was friendly, attentive, and really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s always great when the service matches the quality of the food, and Emme absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to come back, highly recommend!”
“Pave is a popular bar in some former shops, the original tiles from the old butchers shop are still on show. There is an excellent choice of beers lager and cider including some cask conditioned real ales which were in excellent condition when I called in. This modern bar is nicely done out. There is an outside seating area at the front, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Pave is deservedly listed in The Good Beer Guide. Dog friendly, highly recommended.”
“Visiting my mum and popped into The Three Tuns. Had a Sunday Carvery and, the food was so good, great choice and great value for money. Highly recommend, you wont be disappointed. Bar staff really friendly, lovely atmosphere.”
“amazing food, friendly and helpful staff, good prices and quick service. honestly one of the best experiences i’ve had at a cafe. would 100% recommend”
“Lovely lunch sitting on the terrace today 24/07/25, service was great, food fantastic”
“Lovely little place, excellent service. Ordered the chicken quiche, chicken ceasar salad, panini sandwich and steak sandwich. Big portions.”
“Best Chinese takeaway in Beverley. Two starters, four mains, one rice - just over £35. Value for money as they aren't on apps etc, and the food is always good with quick delivery.”
“Partner had the burger and I had the lobster ravioli asked them for less chilli as the first time I had it, the chilli was overpowering the dish. They had to remake but sorted it quickly and efficiently. Cat our server was great, very attentive. Will be visiting again soon.”
“The food is as Scrumptious as the sign says. My O.H loves the huge sausage rolls, hes a big eater but can only handle 1, the pies and slices are fab too. The cakes are very nice and very tempting.Wouldnt ever use the other bakeries after being here. You have to be early as things go in a flash.”
“We always call in Brewers for lunch when we visit Hornsea Freeport. The food always looks great with generous portions. We have tried all the Ploughman's on offer and they are all equally good. (We usually share one as there is no way I could eat one to myself). The staff are friendly and the restaurant is always clean and being cleaned. I would definitely recommend.”
“Wasn't sure what to expect 25 years after our last visit here. Was a regular at Ray's Place back in the 80s and 90s. This was the first visit since moving to West Yorkshire in '96. So glad we came. Staff really friendly and the food was really good. Very tasty and not greasy at all. Brought back lots of fond memories. Thank you to Yusuf and the team for a really nice evening.”
“Amazing food!!! Got small chips, gravy and patty and was enough for a quick dinner. I looked at it and thought it was small but actually was just enough tbh not to put you in a food coma. Lovely lady behind the till and serving. Great place.”
“Best pizza in the area! We can tell the pizzas are made from fresh, good quality ingredients and baked beautifully in a proper stone pizza oven (the crust is on the thin side and crispy). All the different toppings we have had are beautiful, fresh and tasty. The staff are very friendly and professional. We have plenty of pizza takeaways to choose from where we live, but happily travel 20 minutes to get a GOOD pizza. (My partner reacts badly to low quality pizza dough and has NEVER had a problem here. The dough here is fresh and bakes beautifully. Our little girl with sensory issues loves the pizza from here, it's one of very few meals that she actually really loves and gets excited about.) Thanks Dolce Vita! Pls don't go anywhere!”
“Lovely staff. Amazing food. The mixed kebab is the best about and full of flavour. The stone baked pizzas are the best in Beverley. Always order from here and never had any problems”
“Arriving at the restaurant we were treated by staff straight away. Payment made and we was sent downstairs to the restaurant. There was no queue (easter Sunday 4pm) we were shown straight to our table, explained how the restaurant worked and left to our own devices. There was so much choice, from English food, Chinese, Indian, sushi, Italian. Lots of choice for dessert too. Once plates were finished with, they were taken by the staff immediately. Fresh cutlery was left at the table if you needed them again for another plate of food. There was no limit to the amount of times we could go up and get another plate of food (4 plates later, and feeling fat). Again no limit on dessert, and plenty of choice for everyone. There was no rush for us to leave the restaurant, and by 5, the restaurant was filling up. We were there around 2 hours in total. There was even a robotic machine that delivered drinks to tables. Overall we had a lovely time, and would return to the restaurant again.”
“I took my 2 teenage sons for dinner last Friday evening. Both boys were taking photos of the food as soon as it arrived, presentation was super! The quality of the food was fantastic, full of flavour and very generously portioned. There was a good range of food on the menu and plenty of drink options. The boys have declared it their new favourite restaurant. Perfect if you want to push the boat out a little without going overboard.”
“The Beech Tree Inn at Willoughby left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I stepped in, the friendly staff made me feel right at home. Their welcoming smiles and attentive service set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. But the real star of the show was the food. Every dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It was clear that the chefs poured their heart and soul into creating a memorable menu. I left the Beech Tree Inn feeling thoroughly satisfied and already planning my next visit. If you're looking for a place with exceptional food and warm hospitality, this is the place to be. I wholeheartedly recommend it!”
“Brilliant food great offers .friendly staff”
