“My sister and I really enjoyed our one night stay at the Hedley House Hotel. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful with directions around York and to the Barbican (where we were attending a concert). The hotel was very comfortable, clean and tidy. Our twin room was lovely. And it was only a short walk to the train station which we discovered on our way back (a shortcut shown to us by one of Hedley House team!). We would highly recommend this hotel.”

“From calling, to brining in our cat, and having to have her put to sleep, Minster vets were exemplary. We were ushered into a consulting room as soon as we arrived and given private time with our cat Lulu to say goodbye. The process although heartbreaking could not have been more gentle comfortable, and considerate for Lulu and us. She left us peacefully. Minster vets had treated Lulu for 15 years; and when we feel up to having another pet they will look after that one too. Thank you. Must also mention the hand written sympathy card that arrived a few days later from the surgery. What a lovely gesture.”

“George always gives fantastic treatment in a warm caring and friendly manner. What struck me on this occasion was that his caring nature didn’t waver despite a busy waiting room and a seemingly endless stream of patients coming in and out of his surgery. He saw me way after 6pm for an emergency appointment, both him and his assistant were lovely, and I left without the pain I had gone in with. Looked like they were nearing the end of a tough day but there was no compromise on quality.”

“I had my second knee replacement under the care of Mr Cash in September. Everyone at the hospital were really kind and caring. Mr Cash explains everything in layman’s terms and is very approachable. A good experience all round.”

“The staff and the place were excellent. At 10.30 on a Thursday morning the parking was full up, so absolutely horrendous. Will have to take a taxi if I ever have to return.”

“We purchased a YO1 Middleton's afternoon tea voucher for four people. The tea was excellent, the gentleman who served us was friendly, professional and welcoming even though he was busy, it was much appreciated. The finger sandwhiches were fresh and tasty, ham and lettuce, cheese and pickle and salmon and cream cheese. The fruit scones were warm and tasty, especially when the jam and cream were added. The selection of cakes was great, macaroons, brownies and other cakes. A very nice experience as a couple or when shared with friends. Many thanks to our host/waiter for making us feel valued customers.”

“Very helpful staff, they are the best stocked pharmacy in York and have helped me several times when my regular pharmacy was unable to. In addition they are open late which is so helpful when you work later than 5pm. Shoutout to Will for being incredibly helpful when I needed an emergency prescription”

“Very nice staff, immediately asked if I needed assistance and recommended clothes tailored to what I was looking for. Prices are a bit high (approximately 60 pounds for leggings) however the quality is there, I definitely believe they will last you many years and be worth the price!”

“Attended this pharmacy for a Covid and Flu vaccination at 32 weeks pregnant. Although the service ran late, the staff were very polite and friendly. I have just moved into the area so it was a lovely first experience at the local pharmacy.”

“Absolutely amazing stay. Beautiful cozy bedroom with the comfiest of beds, slept brilliantly on both nights. The spa was fantastic. Treatments were the best and staff amazing at what they do. Definitely worth a mention. Gary who works front desk at spa makes the place. He is a huge asset. Very welcoming and friendly. He deserves the best review. Hope he gets to see this. We are going through a lot at the moment and Gary went above and beyond for us. He is funny and attentive. Made us laugh and smile and we felt very relaxed and can’t thank him enough.”

I don’t normally come to this branch and didn’t catch her name but popped in with my little girl over an ailment she had for some advice. She was so lovely and helpful. “Wonderful afternoon of relaxation and pampering. On arrival the young gentleman on reception was fab. Kind and most helpful explaining about what to expect, booking us in, showing us where to go snd generally just really welcoming. Swimming pool and steam room were great then on to the relaxation room. We went a little early so we had time to enjoy the warming beds. Room was nice (speakers a bit tinny with the music which buzzed a smidge). Then into our treatment room. Ladies were really respectful and welcoming. We had a Swedish massage and a facial. Absolutely fantastic! So relaxing and really thorough. Couldn't fault my day at all. Finished it off with one of the cafes smoothies. Also tasty. Thank you all.”
