“Great little bar, plenty of ale and cider on draught so there’s lots of choice. Books with history on ale and different pubs all over the country. Great place to be in. Pricing is pretty good, there’s loads of seating and outdoor seating also for in the sun. The windows all unfold so that there’s a lovely brea3 through there during summer, with it being in the shade it’s nice and cool. Toilets are clean and industrial style with copper door handles. I love the design of the whole place.”

“Nice Decent Place for Food + a Great Variety of Drinks. Been going here for sometime now for drinks or dining and always enjoy our visit. Last two visits I've noticed that the service was not up to the level which it was before for example staff taking time your order or not getting around you regularly to check up if anything needed also even after paying the bill I noticed that table was not cleared for sometime. Don't know if it was because of the less staff or just in general. The venue wasn't busy either. One thing for sure was that food was once again top notch. I'd definitely keep going here and recommend others to try this gem of a place on street lane.”

“Wow..... Food is incredible and amazing service. My steak was so good, cooked to medium and the hake was so well presented. The wine was beautiful but the port was served at the perfect temperature, along with the cheese!”

“Great little bag, reminds me of my visit in Ghent! Popped in for the Belgium beers, Sam and James gave me and my friends some great recommendations on some beers we haven’t tried! Great customer service - all the staff are very helpful and chatty! My favourite was the Rochefort 10! Lovely warm and cosy atmosphere with great bar snacks! Will be back and eager to try the other head of steam venues!”

“I visited the Head of Steam on Park Row in Leeds with my daughter for a few drinks, and we were absolutely blown away by the service we received – especially from Greg. From the moment we arrived, he couldn’t do enough to make sure we had the best possible experience. Greg was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave us loads of great advice on the beers available, helping us choose drinks that suited our tastes perfectly. His passion for what he does really shines through, and it made our visit extra special. It’s not often you come across someone who goes so far above and beyond in customer service – Greg is a fantastic asset to the pub. Because of him, we’ll definitely be back again soon! “Visited yesterday with my young son. Our food was great, incredibly fast service even though it was busy, the staff were friendly and the toilets are immaculate. Best Wetherspoons I've been in I reckon. We even stayed for pudding.... which was lovely too.”

“Been a local here for the past couple of months new owners absolutely fantastic, great atmosphere. Was a local before the new ownership and they have continued to set the bar high. Very welcoming towards new customers and regulars. highly recommend coming here if you fancy a quite drink or a drink to socialise, they have a good energy and are very polite and respectful towards anyone who walks through the door so yeah in a nutshell it’s a great pub and a great community.”

“Only second time in this establishment, enjoyed it , was with my son, had my favourite lager kronenberg, and my son's favourite, dark fruit, we went in the evening, don't know if they do food, but would recommend this place, just for beer alone.”

“Amazing service and venue! Just been for a baby shower. They accommodated last minute so well for my friend who had a nightmare with a venue that cancelled on her. Anyways it worked out for the best because the terrace was beautiful space! Super intimate and great on a sunnys day! Service was amazing from Ian who catered so well behind the bar and thank you so much for saving my dress with safety pins!”

“We go bowling here regularly and it's great. It's so convenient to be able to book it online and is about the price I would expect. Takes just a moment to speak to the employees at the counter to check in and get your assigned lane. You fill in your own names, choose handedness, and decide whether or not you want bumpers at the machine in your lane. You can order from the food/drinks menu online as well and they bring you your order without any fuss. I didn't personally feel that the VIP addition was better than the regular bowling and the only difference seemed to be that the divider between you and another group was less transparent. In VIP it felt vaguely cramped, too, so unless you really want your privacy, I wouldn't bother. Everything was clean and convenient. My only real criticism is that upon first walking in it was visually overwhelming (as it opens into an arcade) and not immediately clear where to go.”

“Lovely hotel, last visited 6 years ago and still as good as it was the last time. Great vibe and ambiance, my room - a Club - was very large, extremely clean, and comfortable. Nice little touches like four Nespresso pods, fancy tea, nice biscuits and a couple of Ferraro Rochers. Beds incredibly comfortable, couldn’t hear any noise at all, and black out curtains kept out the light! It was my birthday stay and was pleasantly surprised to receive a voucher for two free cocktails in the hotel bar. The bartender was fab, environment was great - 10/10 all round for the stay and would def come back. Price/performance ratio excellent.”
