“An absolute dream of a restaurant. They serve a plethora of delicious drinks and cocktails along with food that has care put into it. On the menu there’s burgers, chicken, fajitas, pasta and even vegan options. The wait can sometimes be long but this place is so popular it’s worth the extra wait. Better to have food be good than rushed. Waiters and waitresses are always super-eager to help and will accommodate most anything. Atmosphere and decor is splendid, resembling a vintage American style. They also sing if it’s someone’s birthday which is sweet. Would so highly recommend this place to anyone in the area; visiting or local. It’s such a cuisine heaven!”

“Just been to the beach for a Christmas meal. From the moment we walked in we felt at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. Izzy showed us the menu choices. We had opted for a Christmas meal. Our table had a table cloth, crackers and napkins in the glass. Definitely got us in the Christmas mood. A lovely starters followed by the carvery. James carved the meats to perfection and made sure all the vegetables etc were as we required. A great way to get in the Christmas mood.”

“Went yesterday for a carvery lunch. I had gammon and beef - and the meat, as well as all the trimmings, were delicious. I’m gluten free and the team were really helpful, giving me a separate jug of gluten free gravy. There was a really nice atmosphere in the pub and all the staff were really friendly. I would definitely recommend.”

“I don’t understand how this hotel has such a low rating. I’ve stayed in hotels all over England for business travel and this is one of the best ones I’ve ever stayed in. It feels more like a four star and it cost £69 for a double! The rooms are spacious, with good desk space and a sofa. The bathrooms are clean and the shower is good. The lobby is huge with chesterfield style leather sofas everywhere. The bar/restaurant has a decent selection. The staff were friendly. I stayed here because my flight was cancelled, but if that happens again, this is where I’m staying.”

“What an amazing find! This bar is an absolute blast. Not only do they have live music and a karaoke machine for those who love to sing their hearts out, but the staff here are also the sweetest! They're so friendly, attentive, and really make you feel at home. The atmosphere is lively and fun – the perfect spot for a night out with friends. Five stars without a doubt! “I went with a friend after we got recommended to try the place. We had the absolute loveliest time. Bella was a wonderful host, very attentive and accommodating for our dietary requirements. The food was spot-on and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere with the mood lighting was intimate and cozy, perfect for a warm bowl of ramen on a winter night.”

“Today we were visiting York Dale's tour with Trevor, our guide and driver. Everything was simply top-notch! The stories he told were captivating and revealed secrets of places no one else would have guessed (like the wood-carved mice on the benches in the old church). The guide had an answer to every question, even the most tricky, that suggests about his deep knowledge of Yorkshire history and his many years of experience. Also, the breathtaking views from the panoramic windows of the bus are truly remarkable. Sheep, cows, and the occasional bird were all self-appointed actors who performed their roles perfectly, on 10/10.”

“Elite natural wine range. Some of the very best producers in the game at most price levels. Lovely, helpful and knowledgeable staff. There’s space for four or five people to try some of the wines by the glass but this is primarily a shop - and a very good one.”

“We recently completed the World of Wine course and absolutely loved it. We got to try loads of wines we would never have tried otherwise. Laura was an excellent host and we learnt so much. Having thought I was a robust red lover, I find I have a penchant for aged white wines. We also enjoyed the selection of cheese each week and experiencing the joys of a good cheese and wine pairing. Will definitely been booking some more events.”

“Myself and my partner made a last minute booking based on reviews. Happy that we did. The atmosphere is very relaxed in the bar area, the friendly lady I spoke to on the phone booking, advised that a large party had booked upstairs and we’d probably be more relaxed in the bar area. Nice advice. Food was really well seasoned and hot and fresh, (we had a Sunday roast with beef). My only slight gripe is there wasn’t much beef on the plate. All was lovely and the wine by the glass was really nice. Overall we were happy with our first visit and will definitely return.”

So knowledgeable and absolutely lovely guy who runs the place we are now determined to become regulars for this place and really not too expensive at all for what you get can't recommend this place enough.”
