“This place was great. The food was delicious, especially the steak I had! The steak and ale pie my partner had, was one of the best ones I've tried! The atmosphere was calm, it was dog friendly (our girl was offered a doggy roast dinner!) The staff were all so friendly. It has incredible views, and is very spacious. I recommend this place 100%”

“This is my first time at the Fox since it is under new management. The welcome from all the staff was friendly and helpful. The place has been redecorated under the new management and overall has a very welcome atmosphere. They have three real ales on which are all very well looked after. I will be coming back for the food this pub is well worth the cycle right to get too.”

“Always been a fan of the Turkish/Greek sort of grills and what a little gem this place is in the middle of, out of all places, Pontefract (no offense to anyone from Pontefract). It's a pretty cosy establishment, about 26 covers max, but any place of that size and a focused menu set, typically means they can focus on the quality of the dishes, and boy, tonight's meal was a joy. For anyone going for the first time, I'd definitely recommend the mixed grill as it has a full range of lamb kebab, lamb chop, adana (which btw was awesome, right lamb mince consistency with the delicate balance of herbs and spices), chicken kebab and chicken wing. Rice was flavourful and the salad refreshing with the appropriate amount of dressing. Other half has the chicken Marmanis, which was indeed tasty, white wine sauce with the mushrooms just right without being too salty or sharp. Only a slight blip was a tough tendon in her piece of chicken - something that can be easily corrected I'm sure. Baklava for dessert is home made rather than shop bought so that's a massive positive for me. All washed down with a Turkish apple tea to cleanse the pallette to end a surprising but delightful evening meal. Service was excellent and attentive, the team there are super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back and is an establishment we will bring friends and family to. A must visit. 5*. If the team are reading this? teşekkür ederim”

My wife has severe allergies and everyone was super accommodating from the moment we arrived, even the chap behind the bar knew about them and the chef could explain all the changes made to each dish - very reassuring. We had the tasting menu and the food was excellent, not as excessively and unnecessarily posh as some places - no foamed essence of unicorn - just the best version of each food item you've ever eaten, served with a smile and a warm welcome. Will definitely be back next time we have something to celebrate!”

“I had lived in Leeds for 4 years about 15 years ago. I still come back and visit my friends there. Previously, I had only been here at night to have a few pints with my mates, but having come back to visit Leeds after a number of years, I decided to have a Sunday roast before heading back to Manchester Airport. I made a reservation (good idea, as the place really fills up) after seeing they did a roast on Google. I cannot imagine a better Sunday roast. This was an absolute stunner! I'm bringing my Leeds-born son back next year, and we're already planning on visiting Lamb And Flag for a Sunday roast. Do yourself a favour and get yourself over to Lamb and Flag. It also doesn't hurt that it's next door to the rather picturesque Leeds Minster. I can also say that the prices aren't bad at all. Considering I had earlier spent 8 quid on two ice creams from an ice cream van, 32 pounds for a pint, a full Sunday roast, and dessert seemed like quite the deal.”

“We went to Panzerroto on a Tuesday evening, to celebrate my birthday. It was a really good decision. We had divine arancini and tomato soup, and then we had superb pollo a la baldostana and ravioli. The sauce in both was so delicious we couldn't help but ask for a few pieces of brrad to soak in the remaining sauce. OMG, it was addictive! Thecservicecwas very attentive. The pudding was okay, but you should absolutely go there for the savoury food.”

“Heck, I am meant to be out & about, reviewing Doncaster, South #Yorkshire, content friends. However. Excellent #pizza here is too good to miss! Lunchtime deal best if you're on a budget. Small pizza/soft drink, just £6, 1-4pm, Mon-Thu. Funnily enough I am not actually eating here today. So pic from another great pizza place in Docklands, #London. Could easily be said bar in Wakefield, the food looks so similar.”

“I am from Singapore . This is very authentic Chinese restaurant with a diverse menu including vegan options. Food is very tasty and service is excellent. They even provide complimentary tea. I came here alone for lunch and ordered the MLXG (Mala Xiangguo) which was super delicious and reasonably priced. Food portion was generous. I came back with my husband for dinner on the same day and we had beef noodle soup (non spicy) and the fried banana dessert . Huge portion with delicious soup, tender beef cubes and crunchy greens. I highly recommend this place. For vegan, you must try the food here too, the menu looks interesting and food is very tasty and reasonably priced. Will visit again if I come back to York one day.”

“Great small traditional pub. We were in the left side which I think was the Lounge. Very clean and tidy, drinks were a great price with plenty of deals on too. Can’t comment on food as we didn’t have any but the menu looked great with a decent selection and also the prices were pretty decent. Plenty of parking outside too The lady behind the bar was very nice and friendly too which was lovely”
