“This evening we ate in the Tapas Yamas restaurant. All food was excellent and our waitress Olivia was lovely. She is a new member of staff but found out everything we asked about if she didn’t know the answer. It is very new and only in their 4th week since opening but I would definitely recommend it and will be returning. The deli looked amazing too and I will be going back for breakfast and coffee before long too.”

It's right here thanks to Mollie, one of the few chefs who understand what rare is and how to achieve it to perfection! Perfectly rendering fat while keeping the meat rare is a skill few chefs ever achieve, Mollie is one of the few! The fact she is creating heaven for diners with extremely high quality meat cannot detract from her skills. A chef who knows her temperatures is worth their weight in gold! Anyone can ruin even the highest quality. Absolutely thrilled! Superb venue with lots of different seating options, intimate and sociable. Brilliant decor, very tasteful with theme that is varied but makes sense throughout the venue. Ales kept very well, staff who are professional, friendly and most importantly attentive without being invasive. Immaculately clean, ample parking, brilliant something for everyone menu, very reasonably priced, almost under priced. Absolutely fantastic venue for large parties or something more intimate. Well done to a brilliant team and especially Mollie who is producing steaks that would not look, or taste, out of place in a Michelin star restaurant!”

“We dined at the Dog & Hedgehog as a spur of the moment Sunday lunch out. We called ahead to check availability (table for 2) and the friendly staff were able to fit us without any issues. The Sunday lunch menu had a very large selection of main meals to choose from including the traditional Sunday roast with a great choice of meats. The Sunday roast was well presented and accompanied by a selection of seasonal vegetables and cauliflower cheese, which was AMAZING! Every element of the dish was delicious, in particular the meat was plentiful, perfectly cooked and well carved.”

“Walking the Hoby to Somerby section of the Leicester Round. Popped in here for some drinks and a rest midway through the stretch. Pub is very handily placed for this walk, only 5 mins off the Leicester Round route. As we were sweaty and hot, we sat outside, lots of seating available in the beer garden. We only ordered soft drinks but the staff were really friendly and chatty. They also very kindly filled up our water bottles. We'll definitely be back to try the food offer.”

“Visited the Lime Tree today to celebrate Auntie Edna's 92nd Birthday. We had such a lovely time, staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The best bit was at the end when our waitress presented her with a complimentary dessert with Happy Birthday piped on the plate and gave her a birthday card. You certainly went over and beyond for her. Thank you so much”

“Such a friendly and welcoming pub to visit after client calls in the local area. I first visited with one of my dogs and he was just as welcomed as I was. I've never been for a pint alone before as it's just not something I'd thought about but I felt so welcomed there on the first visit that I went back a couple days later. David is very hospitable and easy to chat to and every other customer also accepts a new face without question. Definitely returning soon”

“I organised a baby shower for a lovely friend of mine. The service I was given was outstanding. Janice’s response to emails was amazing. She helped so much. The chef who made our afternoon was also very accommodating, especially with the mum-to-be having gestational diabetes. I have to say it’s the first place that has accommodated for gestational diabetes for the afternoon tea and made a separate dessert. Some lovely banana bread. The amount of sweet treats you get in their afternoon tea is more than you would ever get anywhere else. I would definitely recommend eating there too. The Sunday roasts are amazing too.”

“Checked out Ceders, the Lebanese spot, and it’s quite the experience. They’ve got a mix of hard and soft drinks to choose from, hitting the spot. Now, fair warning, the bathrooms need a bit of extra care in the cleanliness department. Let’s dive into the good stuff – their chicken is a taste bud triumph, truly delicious. The hummus and falafel also hold their own in the flavor game. Downstairs has a few tables, but the real vibe is upstairs, creating a cozy atmosphere. Props to them for serving water in fancy bottles, adding a touch of class. Despite the bathroom situation, Ceders delivers a savory Lebanese feast with a charming ambiance.”
