“We had the Mediterranean salad, which was absolute delicious! Great flavour, healthy and fillings. Also had the butterfly chicken, which looked super colourful and tasted great too but the peri peri flavour was on the spicier side so caution if you’re sensitive to spicy food, I’d suggest choosing a different favour. Overall, really satisfied with the food and service and will definitely visit again.”

“Xmas meal group booking on 10th December at the Friary .The booking was for 23 people who are not easily pleased !!!! The whole experience from start to finish was great . The standard of the meal &service provided by everyone was excellent especially under the challenging circumstances as it was the day of the world cup quarter finals . All of our party said it was the best meal we had eaten and that goes back many ye The table decorations and the reserved area of dining surpassed our expectations . The whole of the team were great from waiting staff to bar staff and not forgetting the kitchen staff behind the scenes .They were all very professional ,friendly and good ambassadors for your venue . Nothing seemed to much trouble for anyone . I can definitely say the whole of the team at The Friary went above and beyond for us We will not hesitate to use you for any future events and also for ad hoc visits /dining .”

Atmosphere is good as this restaurant is in basement and some issues with mouldy smell from carpet due to rain water. But they are maintaining well to clear it. Very friendly and hardworking staff.”

As a person who comes from a south asian background I do not tend to go out to have Indian cuisine as we often have it at home, so I tend to be quite unsatisfied with Indian takeaways as they all just taste the same as everywhere else. However this place here, after every meal I’m more eager for the next occasion. The chicken tikka masala and the garlic naan are to DIE for! The lamb tawa was bursting with flavours and so was the garlic chilli chicken packed a real punch. Everything I’ve had from here so far has been nothing short of extraordinary. “I've been a regular here for a few years, and they are consistently great. The service is wonderful, and the owner is always very kind and happy to accommodate any food requests. Must-try items: Samosa, aloo paratha, paneer paratha ,Bhakari- they cook it on demand. They have delicious and wide variety of chat items as well.”

“Friendly service. Our food and drinks came to us quickly. Everything was really fresh and the portions are very generous. We took our children who enjoyed the pancakes but they could have shared 1 portion between them.”

A relaxing drink at the bar and when you get to the table the quality of tapas is outstanding - don’t confuse what they do here with cheap chain restaurant tapas - this is VERY high quality & different- Lamb Biriyani Tacos, Roasted carrot tarte tatin! I know my wines & here they serve good wines, not wines you can get everywhere! Our last meal here was a birthday celebration and we were really looked after- please pay a visit and see my photos”

“We come to Market Harborough mainly for Dim Sum Master. The food is so good it makes you do a happy dance while you eat it. We usually get Xiao Long Bao (amazing), the Chicken Fried Rice with Shrimp Paste (scrummy) and last time we tried the Beef Shank Noodles which was so tasty. The owners are also lovely too.”

“No faults whatsoever, I honestly loved everything about this restaurant. The service was impeccable, it was our first time tasting Ethiopian food and we didn't know what to expect but the lovely lady working there helped us with the food menu and described the dishes very well. The flavours and presentation of the dishes was delicious and filling. We ordered a coffee ceremony as it looked very interesting on the menu and it did not disappoint. We learnt a lot about Ethiopian culture from it. The coffee beans used were strong in flavour and it was accompanied with popcorn! My 5 year old daughter is hard to please and she wasn't keen on the main that we had ordered (perhaps spices were strong for her but we enjoyed it) so we ordered a scrambled egg and tomato with bread and it came out, such a big portion but it was so good. She loved it! Thank you so much for an amazing meal and experience- we will definitely be coming back again!!”

“The roast pork bento (rice box) was nicely done. The pork was succulent and the Japanese rice was cooked al dente, the way it should be cooked..though the pork is a bit too sweet. Also a few more pieces of broccoli will be lovely.”
