“I've rejoined after several years away, Tom was very professional and knowledgeable in processing my membership on site. Car parking is plentiful and as long as you obey simple rules like parking between lines and not using disabled spots without a badge it shouldn't every be a problem . All areas were clean , and the staff and others members I've met so far are pleasant Not tried the cafe yet , but it looks busy”

“I was given a friendly welcome and during my visit I tried one of the small plate dishes they serve - seabass with mussels, coconut and massaman, served on a bed of tenderstem broccoli. The plate might have been small but the portion was generous and beautifully tasty. Highly recommended.”

“Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Deadwood Smokehouse in Mold sooner — we’ve eaten here so many times over the years, it’s definitely our go-to place! The food is always spot on, with a great choice of dishes whether you’re in the mood for ribs, burgers, or something a bit different. The portions are generous, everything is full of flavour, and there’s a really good selection of drinks to go with it too. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the service is consistently excellent no matter how busy it gets. There’s a great atmosphere — relaxed, lively, and perfect for both casual meals and nights out with friends or family. Highly recommend Deadwood Smokehouse — it never disappoints!”

“We always enjoy going here. The garden centre has a fantastic selection of plants & for very competitive prices. The café is always busy, but the staff are only too happy to squeeze us in & their service is excellent. The food has been faultless every time & I'm pleased with what we've received, good size portions & again excellent value for money. It's one of our favourite places to stop for a light lunch. “Just got back from Common wood after a four day fishing trip on Llewellyn lake and had a great time, me and my pal both beat our personal best. The fish in Llewellyn are in amazing condition the place is pretty clean and tidy. The Bailiff Tony was brilliant, he came around every morning and anything we needed he sorted, he also shared his knowledge of the lake with us. We had breakfast delivered to our pegs and we also went down to the bar for a pizza and beers in the evening. The pizza’s are handmade and cooked in a pizza oven and it’s the best tasting pizza i have had in a while. The food and atmosphere is great.”

“Love this place! Managed to book a table last minute on the Friday evening a 6pm. The food was amazing, as always. Never disappointed. Lovely staff, great service. Had pigeon breast, fried zucchini, olives. The pan fried salmon, with asparagus, poached egg, Jersey royal potatoes & hollandaise sauce was exceptional. There were 4 of us, and also had a risotto, and a chicken burger. No room for desserts! Great cocktails too. Have also been for breakfast and lunch before now! Would highly recommend.”

    The Bowling Green Inn

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Closed

“Dawn runs a marvellous, traditional Welsh pub. In 1643 Oliver Cromwell set his cannons up on the site of what would become the future pub's namesake bowling greens, then he shelled the Parish church before burning a lot of the town. One thing that's never burnt however are the dinners that fly out of Bowling Greens kitchen. Superb, hearty, honest scran. Fine selection of beers, wines & spirits, great dart board + teams, too. All welcome in this midweek drinkers experience.”

Old No 7 Bar Grill Food

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“I love this place! One of two venues in Wrexham I can comfortably call nice, classy or desirable. Great atmosphere, good food and the cocktails are spectacular. Rarely get into anything much more than the long island iced tea but have samples a good cross section over the years. The atmosphere is cosy early on, with comfortable, stylish furnishings and low-ish lighting, suited to quiet drinks with conversation, dates etc. Later into the evening on weekends at least they have some great local talent in doing acoustic covers and original music with plenty of audience participation encouraged but not in a lazy way. Food is a pleasant mix of Mediterranean through traditional and well executed. I've been there as a casual visitor for drinks and/or food and also on work outings, group catered and been equally pleased each time.”
