“Never in a million years did I think I would go to a personal trainer but so glad I did, I am not one to go to a gym so one to one in a studio is perfect. Matt is very knowledgeable about training and really thinks about what is best for each individual. I suffer with back and joint pain due to my job and Matt as made sure my sessions work around that and building my strength so I now have less painful days. I have lost inches and decreased my body fat, I feel better in myself I have more energy and I am eating better thanks to Matts help and support, I look forward to my sessions each week.”

“Still a great gym, sion is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, patient and positive person who's aim is to get the best out of everyone and help then achieve their potential. Reasonable pricing, great sturdy equipment, highly recommend the transformation packages available. Really can't recommend immerse enough, the positivity, the encouragement, the non judgemental approach (to who you are, what you want to achieve or what point you're starting from), the friendliness of all other members, the inclusivity. Great group of members, who all want to achieve their best fitness, and all know we have to start somewhere. So theres no preening or admiring yourself in mirrors, everyone helps each other out, and there's no judgement. Sion pushes everyone a little bit further so even though you may have been going a while, he will push you to do a little more. So essentially regular members are finding it as hard as a new member. It doesn't have overcrowded classes and all of the trainers will modify exercises so you can join in. If you're nervous about joining a gym, join this one, there's nothing but a great welcome here. End of sept 23 Still a fab gym, 9kg down since rejoining and still working hard to achieve goals. Sion makes sure you don't slack, and he's the most upbeat gym bunny you could meet. He won't bully or pressurise you into pushing yourself further, he knows when to get you to test yourself and the best ways to motivate you. The gym is what it is because of sion. We've also had barry helping out recently, and he's fab too. It's great to get a different set of exercises and different perspectives, and like sion, Barry is a really good motivator, knows his stuff and makes you ache but in a good way. The gym also has liz, who offers great sports massage( not included in membership) but she sorts out injuries and knots and keeps you on track to be able to keep your muscles moving. Nov 23 12kg lost, muscle gained, cms lost, dress size lost. What more can i say. Strength improved, new friends made. Great motivating, friendly gym. Give it a try, what have you got to lose apart from cms and weight?”

“Love going to Voice Plus for singing lessons. Both my daughter and i go. Natasha is a great teacher, good with all ages and abilities. The recording studio is a bonus too as a great experience. Highly recommend.”

“I've been bringing my son to the baby classes since he was 8 weeks old, this has enabled me to get to know the staff and the nursery, this helped me decide to choose this as my son's nursery as it takes a lot to trust someone with your baby but I witnessed great practice from all staff and I'm very happy with the decision. All the classes are great, my 9month old son thoroughly enjoys them.”

“It has been closed for a refurb but it still looks grubby and sad. Apparently they just did the ceiling tiles. Water is a good temperature. I go to the over 50's sessions. 11 am to 12 lunch. Gets a busy crowd but every is calm and gentle no screaming kids to deal with. Just great.”

“29/02/24 I came here for the try dive mainly to get over my own fear of deep water where I couldn’t touch the floor, and having my head underwater something I’ve never liked. John the instructor was super supportive, and the crew around were super friendly and full of knowledge, there’s eyes all over you so you feel completely safe. Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Will be looking to book again to gain some more confidence in the water, thank you to John and the team. Hope to see you all again soon.”

“Stunning view across the Mersey from gym floor is worth paying for by itself. Gym equipment isn't five star however, the pool and jacuzzi are outstanding. An ice cold shower gives a glorious freeze effect before the steam room and jacuzzi. The staff are classic scousers - warm, friendly and went out of their way to make my short membership memorable. Fantastic little find!”

“I was a member of this gym for 3½ years and i absolutely loved it. The facilities are always clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are excellent, always friendly which made every visit enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the poolside area including the sauna, steam room, hydro pool, and main pool were all fantastic and the squash courts. All which were a real highlight of my time here. Special shoutout to Jim, an all-out friendly guy who would always take the time to chat and check in on me, and to Kev, who not only checked in and talked with me but also gave me great advice in all areas, more recently with my swimming preparation for becoming a beach lifeguard. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a motivating and positive place to work out!”

“Its got a good pool and a great large open gym. The staff are all helpful and friendly and you get a free pass for the carparks. Its also only a couple of minutes walk from both Conway Park station and the main bus station. Overall, I couldn't fault it even if I wanted to.”

“Showing it's age a bit but it's very clean. Water temperature in the pool is great for doing lengths, some places have it slightly to warm which makes distance swimming really difficult. The new, replacement building opens in Spring 2025 Halton Leisure Centre has now opened Kingsway had been demolished”

“I stayed here recently with my daughter while on a rugby tour from Australia. We absolutely loved it here, the rooms were clean and nice comfy beds. The staff couldn't do enough for us and always friendly. The grounds were so beautiful and well maintained. We stayed in four hotels while on tour and this hotel was without doubt the best by far. “Currently undergoing a refurb with limited facilities, but they've also provided a vastly reduced membership cost to reflect this. Really friendly, all ages environment with something for everyone. Diverse range of ages, genders, and races in attendees, which is always a good sign to indicate a welcoming environment - which was something I was nervous about when first joining a fitness centre! Never experienced any discrimination as a gay couple who attend together, staff are kind and helpful. Beginner friendly, just ask at the reception if you need any guidance how to get started with a facility or class.”

“Been using this pool since I was a kid, am now 38. Both of my children have learned to swim here. I live closer to Wigan baths but would always choose this pool over them any day. Staff have always been brilliant, especially with my sons SEN needs. Heather was amazing with him. To have access to both the small warm pool and the large pool is not found in many places anymore, so this is nice. Yes it is in need of refurbishment, but at the end of the day it's a local community pool, not a 5* Ritz Hotel Spa. Many people rely on this place and its affordable prices.”
