“Went for lunch on recommendation of a friend and wasnot disappointed. Had the 3 course fixed price lunch. Lovely fresh cooked food, generous portion, great value for money. Friendly staff, though did seem to be a little short handed. Lovely environment, nice and clean, plenty of parking. Will definitely be back.”

“Always enjoy our meals in here. They offer a gluten free menu, prices are decent, broad selection of drinks. Good friendly honest service. Have come a few times now both at lunch and tea. Kids loved playing footy outside in summer. Can be busy but it's a great pub so it will be. Prefer sitting outside with dog as its less noisy, hot and crowded for them. Highly recommended.”

“A most enjoyable afternoon here after exploring the Whitegate trail! Top quality fish & chips and very interesting choice of draught beer!!! Had Camden Town Brewery Stout for 1st time and was better than Guinness! Tasted similar to Murphys stout! Also had Henry Westons Vintage Cider! Friendly staff and reasonable price! Great choice of other dishes on menu! Will be making a return visit for sure!!!”

“We just finished the boat trip down the river,on lovely sunny day. Get in here,the food being really a great,the drink nice and the whole time,the staff kind,helpful. “Great breakfast nicely cooked 3 full English breakfast and one fried egg on toast. It would be nice if the staff smiled a bit. It sometimes feels as though it's a " think yourself lucky you are being served," approach to customer service. It was busy at the time to be fair, and the staff looked pushed. But I've had the same when it isn't busy. Will persevere as the food is tasty and good value.”
