“Thank you to Lewis Danny , Leon and the the whole team for such a welcoming stay - I could have stayed all week with a team like that , like are an absolute credit to your establishment. Leon served me in the restaurant. He was kind , warm , understanding , knowledgeable , helpful , professional, but above all else his service was exemplary, second to none! I have never met such customer service in a very long time , of this level , and how refreshing to meet someone that loves what they do , and has a positive attitude in all their work. Promote him very soon, or I'll be honest you are missing a trick here , and definetly do not let him move to another hotel. Danny was kind , warm so so welcoming & answered every question I had promptly & efficiently. “Not my first review, but another stay of over a week at this hotel. Decent location, glad I'm not parking on the grounds though with a £3 daily fee, when it was free till recently. Staff terrific again. Special shout out to Bruce who was brilliant with our reservation, as well as Amar and Hannah, who are fantastic. Finally, we often get in very late and see Nathan, who does the graveyard shift, and is another terrific member of staff. All the best to everyone and see you again soon, I'm sure.”

“Nice room but has no USB port or shaver point. High bed. Nice and clean. Lovely breakfast and dinner well worth the money. Amble parking register on way in for free parking. Close to shopping centre.”

“My stay at the Townhouse Hotel Manchester was truly wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Check-in was easy and fast, and the team made sure I felt comfortable right away. The room was clean, stylish, and very spacious, with a comfortable bed and everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially loved the modern bathroom and the little touches that made the space feel premium and inviting. The hotel’s atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, creating a perfect balance for both leisure and business travelers. The location is another huge highlight right in the heart of Manchester, close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Despite being in the city centre, the room was peaceful and quiet, allowing for a great night’s sleep. Overall, the Townhouse Hotel exceeded my expectations. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a fantastic location. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Manchester.”

“Simple and good hotel, with an excellent location in the northern part of the city center. Very close to the Arndale Mall and surrounded by many shops and restaurants. Exceptional service — quick, efficient, respectful, and pleasant. Clean rooms and overall a very clean hotel. The dining area is a bit crowded for my taste, and the English breakfast is basic.”

“It was lovely and for tourists interested in visiting Old Trafford, this is super close. The bus system is great so we could stay here even though our event was at the University of Manchester. The breakfast was beautiful and fun, and we didn't have to break our banks.”

“We stayed here with out 4 children for a few nights due to work being done at our home. I can honestly say the staff that work here are absolutely incredible. They made our stay so easy & couldn’t do enough! From prepping a high chair at meal times before we even came down to making paper aeroplanes with our son & making them fly! The staff here genuinely make the place and I honestly can not thank them enough! The rooms were perfect very large (we had 2 family rooms) VERY clean.”

“We came in yesterday with a vague idea of what we wanted for our honeymoon, but it required multiple bookings, so we hoped Virgin may be able to help and arrange it all for us. We were greeted by a lady called Nicole, and provided with drinks and cake upon arrival. Nicole was incredibly helpful. She's very well travelled and took so much time to piece together our honeymoon ideas. In store she explored many different options for us and created a comprehensive quotation for us to consider which was emailed to us. In the meantime we did some research into other possibilities, emailed Nicole and she was so quick to amend each quote for us. Nicole is an asset to the store and has genuinely crafted our dream honeymoon, which I'm thrilled to say we booked today. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend pop in and see her. “Very friendly, clean rooms, good TV channel selection. Cooked breakfast was decent. Only slight thing was the lack of an exit to the car park from the other side of the hotel which meant going back via reception, but I'm really being picky there. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Would absolutely recommend if you need to be in the area.”

“The perfect airport hotel. A complementary shuttle bus is available from the airport, which arrived to pick me up just outside the terminal. From my arrival in reception I was greeted by very attentive and friendly staff - the place has a feeling of being orderly and efficient yet still maintaining that relaxed atmosphere. My room had a comfortable bed, super soft sheets and was quiet - I couldn’t hear any noise from the airport. The selection and quality of the buffet breakfast was brilliant. Everything you could want prepared and displayed to an high standard. Mike and John were going over and above to ensure all guests had a great experience. Overall I was impressed with my stay, and glad I chose this hotel after a very long flight.”

“I had an excellent experience at the bar in the Marriott thanks to Wade. He’s one of those rare bartenders who makes you feel welcome from the moment you sit down. Professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive, Wade mixed fantastic drinks and offered great recommendations based on what I liked. What stood out most was his service—fast, thoughtful, and consistently upbeat, even when the bar got busy. You can tell he really enjoys what he does, and it shows in the atmosphere he creates. If you’re staying at the Marriott (or even if you’re just passing through), make sure to stop by the bar and ask for Wade. He’ll make your visit a great one. He really made my birthday so special x”

“Very warm welcome by a tall young man on reception and when checking out. AJ on the bar gave excellent service and chat a lovely lad. Food was really good and breakfast was great. Room was good a little to warm though and we couldn't turn it down or open a window. Enjoyed our stay very much.”

“There are hotels, and there are hotels, right? Equally, there are hotel staff, and there are hotel staff, with me so far? Well, the hotel does what it should, it’s clean, comfortable, well equipped and superbly located (if central Manchester is where you want to be?), so far so good! Now the staff, what a treat to be served so well by everyone, from the courteous cleaners that smiled and represented the company well, to the bar / reception staff that went above and beyond, really well done. In particular, the wonderful Nicole, service with the most wonderful smile and utterly professional, Accor, are you reading this ? She’s management material in the waiting right under your noses!! Dominic too was professional, smiling and uber efficient, the pair of them working together like a Swiss clock, effortless and confident, that’s how we guests like it, a big no, a Huge thanks for the stay! It gets another “Arnie” - a I’ll be back!”

All of our maintenance issues were dealt with promptly and effectively, including replacement of a broken washing machine and assistance with leaks in the property. Inspections or fire alarm tests were alerted to us in advance and Vanessa and Danielle offered excellent communication and service throughout our tenancy. The property was affordable and in a good area of Manchester, close to city centre and our transition from Ireland to the year's tenancy in England was seamless.
