“Very great experience. Alexandra park is very family friendly and the air is also very clean. There are hiking paths. Car park. A cafe for quick bites with lots of attractions for both adults and kids.”
“The teachers are brilliant, and it's a great little swimming school!”
“Nice clean facilities..great staff..warm environment... Also gym, sauna too etc 10/10”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just wanted to thank Meghan from Swim Oldham – I honestly have no words to express my gratitude. The way she managed my little one during his very first swimming lesson was mind-blowing. Without her support, it simply wouldn’t have been possible. I am truly grateful to her and can’t thank her enough!”
“Such a fun atmosphere great for all the family even do kids parties if booked in advance. Fab facilities worth a visit. I was never a gym person till I started there 5years ago made some lovely friends”
“Great facilities steam room and sauna are nice and clean. However mixed changing rooms is a big concern where is all the safety gone for our kids”
“Beautiful scenery, there were a little rocky/sandy beach too. Lovely day out. We walked about 5 miles. It has ups and downs, so the surface is not flat which we liked. There was a pay and display carpark but the security didn't let us in as it was full. We parked up the road. Free of charge. Went in beginning of August.”
“Country park in Royton with toilets, picnic areas, playground and cafe (only open weekends which is a shame) There's a largish car park but also parking on the approach road (if there's space).Lots of routes that are colour coded. Some are quite steep but if you have the strength to push a pram/wheelchair uphill the trails are wide and in good condition - mainly tarmac or hardcore. There are plenty of narrower trails off these for the more adventurous.”
“The best pub in the area! Great food and beer.”
“Daisy Nook is a lovely countryside escape tucked away in Oldham, just outside the city buzz of Manchester. It offers a peaceful mix of woodlands, canals, walking trails, and open green spaces — perfect for a quiet stroll, family outing, or even a bit of photography. The paths are well-maintained, and there’s a calm, relaxed atmosphere all around. There’s also a small café near the entrance for a coffee or snack after a walk. A great spot to reconnect with nature without going too far from town.”
“Really good park, well kept with a great play area for little ones. Nice to have a tennis court and kick pitch too.”
“Absolutely love Strinesdale foot paths and 2 large Reservoir's that allow fishing. It also has free parking and is that vast of a space you can walk round it and not bump in to anyone. Strinesdale also has a few picnic areas and amazing views out to the Pennines. There are 3 different routes you can take for that casual stroll or if you are looking to explore of the beat and track you can end up right in the hills and come out at a little farm house. All in all this is one of my favourite places to walk my dog and would recommend it to anyone.”
“This is a GEM! One of my happy places. The grounds are very well maintained and it's a delight to walk around.”
“Lovely place to stop off after a long walk and dog friendly great selection of food and cakes and very friendly people”
“The BEST swim school EVER. Both of my children attend this swim school and have since being babies. My little boy swam a length aged 3 and this is down to the amazing teachers, facilities and lesson structures. Above all, Dolphin promote water safety and encourage your child to learn life saving skills from the baby stage. Couldn’t recommend Dolphin enough. Amazing.”
“Great, especially now they've sorted out the pool.”
“Lovely little park. It's great for kids and familes. Dog friendly. It's clean and tidy. And At the side of a rugby club. Activities usually are here in the summer so there is more for children and families.. There is also a carpark to use.”
“On a sunny day.. This place is fantastic. Lovely flat grass areas for sports. Running track that's free to use. Gorgeous river running alongside Trim track being built around the side (eventually) When it's wet though. It floods. It's muddy. It's puddly.”
“What a great evening! Second time our band (The Shivers) have played their. A huge crowd turned out to see us and we all had a fantastic time. Lovely people, fantastic staff can't wait to be back in November!”
