“Great seafood place. This was our first real meal during this trip to Northern Ireland. It's some of the best food I've had so far. The salmon curry had so much flavor. The seafood chowder was perfect. You could tell the cook was well trained and to care to make these dishes. The staff was super friendly and helpful.”

“A perfect night away. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was lovely . We had a delicious meal with an incredible evening view of Carlingford lough. We have enjoyed meals here before but so glad we decided to stay the night too. Breakfast was great and again staff were chatty and helpful. We will definitely return for another relaxed stay.”

From the delicate fish cake to the succulent lamb main, every bite was a revelation. And that Brownie? A sweet finale to a perfect midday meal. The impeccable service only enhanced our dining experience, leaving us already planning our next visit. We've even booked a table for the whole family in the next few weeks, eager to share this culinary gem with them. “We visited Fodder today and decided to have some Festive Fayre from their menu. We sat outside as we had 2 large dogs and quick as lightning a member of staff dried the picnic table and seats. Not only that, a beautiful deer hide rug was produced as well to sit on. An absolute delight sitting in the sun surrounded by twinkling Christmas Trees. The food which arrived promptly was absolutely delish. I had beef brisket with slaw and crispy onions served in a brioche bap, my other half had the Christmas burger which he declared very tasty. A great Christmas 'picnic', thoroughly enjoyed.”

“Amazing family experience. This really got us and the kids into the Xmas spirit. Really well done. The kids had a ball. Visiting Santa made the whole experience he spoke to them about their favourite things and what they wanted for Xmas. Highly recommend is a tad expensive tho.”

“Lovely, family owned restaurant and bar in the middle of a bunch of mountains and has a beautiful view from a huge window. I live just down the road but I still love going down there for a family night. The interior is beautiful and has a nice warm feel. Had great vegetarian options.”

“Nice chips. The chicken goujons were lovely and had a nice batter on them. There's really not much to complain about. I would recommend, however, that you ask them to go a bit easier on the salt. The last time I got mine, it was flooding with salt.”

“The gardens and butterfly house are well worth looking at. The house isn't very big, but there's plenty to see. We brought a picnic and supplemented it with tea coffee from the cafe. Sat at the picnic tables amongst the many peacocks and enjoyed the sun. Gardens and maze are beautiful.”

“Had cod with smoky tomato butter beans and side dish of mixed veg. Really delicious and different. Lovely and efficient staff. Nice relaxed atmosphere and busy, especially as it was a Monday. Dogs can be brought into the bar. Recommend. Did not stay overnight.”
