“Lovely village pub. We were staying locally and popped for a drink one evening. They had a visiting Turkish food van which amazing. Locals were very friendly!”

“Attentive staff, food was good, atmosphere was great too - I cant wait for them to have live entertainment as I'd return to enjoy that. Staff were knowledgable about the menu. The flavour if the 1/2 chicken was lovely. The coleslaw felt expensive for a small portion (half a cup) that didnt really offer much more (flavour and quality) than a standard/homemade coleslaw. Otherwise, food was perfect. Covid measures - everything was regularly cleaned, there were perspex divides between us and the next table plus outside seating available. Face masks worn by all staff and customers when moving around.”

“Beautiful, satisfying and delicious comfort food and friendly staff. What more could you ask for? The service is efficient but not pushy. The prices are on the higher side but well worth it and no more expensive than the average prices anyway. There are choices for veggies too. I took the mushroom gnocchi with red pesto and cream sauce topped with parmesan and it was gorgeous.”

“We stayed here for 2 nights for a local family wedding. Paul and his team could not be more welcoming, accommodating or helpful. Great yoga class . Great Breakfast. Lovely big rooms . Friendly helpful service. What more could you ask for!”

“Katie was absolutely wonderful, so warm and welcoming and the highest quality waitress we’ve ever experienced. She was thoughtful, efficient, and even asked what we were celebrating! Katie then brought a special congratulations dessert out with all the others to celebrate the achievement. Food was delightful, prompt despite it being a really busy period. Highly recommend!”

“The new owners have done a fantastic job here, they were very friendly aswell, we had 3 pizzas and they were delicious and very well priced. The garden is beautiful with lots of seating. A really lovely few hours spent here, will definitely be back.”

“To be completely honest. We found this gem of a pub by pure accident and I am so glad we did. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The food is reasonably priced and also very good quality. I had the fish and chips and the burger and they were both very good sized portions. I will definitely be returning to this pub. The interior was very well maintained. If It was possible to give six stars, i would.”

“The manager (a lovely lady) at this hotel let me and multiple other people sit in the warmth of the hotel when our train got terminated at Letchworth at after midnight, and she even made me a cup of tea while I waited. She was genuinely such a lovely lady and I was so appreciative of her kindness.”

“What a fantastic venue. Great tasting food, Polite staff as well as bowling,darts and crazy golf. The interior is designed like an American street and looks very good. Only thing that I would advise is that it can be quite loud and if you have a child with autism ect I'd suggest ear defenders if they are triggered by loud noises. Can't wait to return for a third visit soon.”

“I had taken my wife there for her birthday and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant fairly quiet with I think reserved seating. The service very nice and pleasant but the waitress seemed preoccupied. But so what, the food, "oow,..was to live for". Definitely recomend and definitely will be a repeat customer. “Great experience! Visiting Bedford with my 14yo daughter, she steps in and likes what she sees, asks the very nice lady behind the bar about vegeterian options, but we are short of time. Next day we ride into town, go straight into Bar Citrus and have some great time over an english veggie breakfast :) Service is fast and pleasant with a side of smile, all clean and comfy, lovely food to top it all - Definitely can recommend to anyone looking for a quiet eat or a pint with a friend!”

I've had breakfast here, helpful, happy staff that can't do enough to ensure your experience is the best it can be. After the refurbishment it looks fresh and modern. Would defo reccomend this place.
