“I had recently booked the pub for my partners birthday.. the landlady April was very accommodating and was very helpful, April even offered to set up tables and decorated the place for me she and her staff did an amazing job The staff were all very lovely and helpful and the service was very good. There where children who came to the party, and again April and staff where lovley with them, and very understanding when the children where acting up a little. Everyone who came to the pub commented on how lovley the pub was and the staff. I want to say thank you for having us, and we will see you all again soon.”

“I took me parents for Sunday lunch at the Malsters Arms. It was a really pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. They allowed dogs which was perfect as we had 4 little dogs with us. The food was excellent. It was cooked how we asked. The desert was incredible and good value for money. The service was fun and entertaining and everyone friendly. We had such a lovely time and plan to return again soon.”

“Stayed here for three nights lovely room .bed was very comfortable great breakfast basket.Rob the landlord is a lovely chap very friendly .he hasnt been there very long .he is doing a great job .speaking with some of the locals (very friendly) they said he is doing a great job its a lovely area .and the pub /rooms are very quaint . “This is a lovely hotel to stay in. The location is great and is on a road with lots of shops and takeaway food options if you don't want to use on the on site restaurant. There is a large free car park to the rear of the property which felt safe to park in. The room was comfortable and had all the basic equipment. My only gripe was that there was nowhere to sit. I did find the room too warm for me but understand that this is personal preference and for others the temperature would probably be good. However there was a large fan provided so this helped by creating some airflow. The bed was very large and comfortable. It was two single mattresses pushed together to make a large bed. It was slightly uncomfortable over the join where the two mattresses met but I quickly got used to this and it did not affect my sleep. The bathroom was fantastic. The shower was a large walk in that was big enough to fit 2-3 people comfortably. It had two shower heads, a large fixed rainfall head and a movable traditional shower head. The temperature and pressure was great. There was also a separate bath which I did not use but was a good size and had a seat built into the side. Internet connectivity was excellent and was fast and reliable with speeds of 50+ mbps which was great to have. My only negative was the room I was in was next to the 24 hour access door and so this was noisy at times with people coming and going but this is only a small issue and would not affect others in different rooms. Overall I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would happily stay again if I was in the area again”

“One of the best pubs around! I was working nearby and stopped in for a quick break. They’ve got a fantastic range of real ciders and proper ales, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. I had the mixed grill, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavour easily one of the best pub meals I’ve had in a while.. A real gem of a place!”

“I booked 10 rooms for a fishing party, we were fishing at Grafham Water the accommodation was perfect. Comfy beds in super clean rooms. The staff accepted my request for an early breakfast on the Saturday. The meal for 24 people was served by 4 staff, all the meals were hot and nice portions. Would recommend this to all.”

“I honestly don't know what people are moaning about. We pulled up on the boat. Free of charge And were greeted with great hospitality. We had the best cider and food was delicious the fish and chips was the best ever fish was nice and thick. Chips were awesome cooked perfectly home made tarter sauce hot. Butter to melt over extra crusty bread. My cheese and chicken leak pie was hand made cooked in an oven skillet pan , beautiful and ate outside before falling asleep on the boat woke up had cappachino and cooked breakfast. Claiton was lovely my cappachino was taken to a sunny table in the garden. Best experience ever.”

“We had a wonderful lunch at the Spinney Hill. Our table had been pre-booked for 8 guests and on arrival we were welcomed at the bar then shown to our reserved tables. Everywhere was clean. The menu chosen was the senior menu which offered a great choice and excellent value for money. Food service was speedy, attentative and all of the guests enjoyed their meal. We had starter between us, chicken and beef roast and 2 soft drinks and it came up to just under £50. Can't recommend enough.”
