Steak house in Northampton

“Visited here as a group of three for a Sunday roast. The service is great and the server could not have been more helpful. I phoned on a Thursday to make a reservation for the Sunday and so we were only able to get a table for just over an hour, this was plenty of time and the food came out quickly. Can safely say this is one of the better roast dinner’s I’ve had - not stingy on the portion sizes and the food was just brilliant all round. The bill came in at around £40pp including drinks and dessert / coffees, very reasonable for what you’re getting.”

“This large mediterranean restaurant looks a bit sad from outside at the moment. The terrace area appears to be awaiting some sort of refurbishment, so instead of the lively space it usually is, it’s all a bit forlorn. Don’t let that put you off though, the restaurant inside is open for business - a large space with a semi-open kitchen to your left. Visited on a Wednesday evening and seated straight away, the restaurant was moderately busy. Colourful lamps, some big booths to the right. Service was quick and attentive - order for drinks taken (the beer was Peroni, a good choice) and free lavash bread with dips for the table. The menu itself is fulsome, with a good choice of hot and cold mezze to start, including all of the classics. Opted for some Sigar Borek - I love those little tubes of feta and mint. Always a good choice. For a main, I opted for the Sarma Beyti - good sized portion, served with rice, a little bulgar and a side-salad. Weird addition of five pieces of corn into the rice - I hate corn - but with so few, I could pick them out. Food itself was all freshly cooked and delicious, well on a par with some of the best mediterranean dishes I’ve had. The Adana also looked very good - two big skewers of delicious lamb. I would have had that with chips though - I think sometimes you just want chips. In addition to the street entrance the restaurant appeared to have a door onto the little shopping precinct next door, although that all looked a bit lifeless, so perhaps it is no longer open. Overall a good experience and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area - plenty of parking outside, which may even be free after six.”

“Absolutely fantastic Indian restaurant. We went for the first time for my mums birthday and we had a great experience. We had the banquet meal which is £14.99, you get a starter, main, side, naan and rice all included in the price. We brought a cake and they added a sparkler and brought it out whilst singing happy birthday. After this experience I’ve returned 3 times in 2 months. I will definitely be back, thank you again.”

“I have ordered from these guys a few times now. By far the best burger I have ever had. In or out of a restraunt. All of the food is of great quality the taste is fresh clean and perfectly seasoned/prepared. The only place I will go to if I cannot be bothered to cook myself.”

“On a cold December day we chanced upon the Cafe. We were impressed with the very friendly staff and quick service. The place was very busy, but there plenty of willing staff on to serve. I had a sirloin baguette and Gill had a salmon bagel. Both were exceptionally tast. The price was not cheap, but fair these days I would say and if you have a good nosh that's OK by me. There is an outside area too which will be great in summer I imagine.”

“My husband and I stumbled across this pub this evening after I suffered a puncture a mile down the road. A very pleasant atmosphere and very well kept. Icing on the cake was when two hours later, having managed to limp my car up the road to the pub car park, one of the chefs came over and offered help, gave me a laugh and even ever so kindly offered to take me home because the breakdown was still 4 hours away having already waited 4 hours! Overall, based on this experience alone, we’ll definitely come back!”

“I highly recommend this restaurant. We’ve been to Deroka many times and always happy with the service and food! On this special occasion it was my son’s Holy Communion. My son specifically picked this restaurant to celebrate with family and friends. What a wonderful choice he made. From booking the table right through to the day was wonderful customer service. A special menu was put together for the occasion, decorations were put up, ice cold jugs of water were set up for when we arrived. Changes on the day were not a huge issue. The owner was so welcoming and extremely kind to everyone. Thank you for such a lovely day!! The food was fantastic, the service was amazing and all were so happy with the day. Thank you for making my son’s day so special.”

“This was our second visit to Pjayz Kitchen and it is hands down the best halal food place in Northampton! The food and the service is always been outstanding, the portion sizes are great and the environment is cozy and warm. Would highly recommend esp for anyone looking to try food fusions with halal meat.”

“It's the First time I have eaten at this place, the steak was amazing, The service was 10/10, there was one little mistake with our order but it was very quickly rectified, The manager took off the cost of one of the mains to make up for the mistake, which was more than she had to do. And as a bonus I got a free dessert as it was my birthday. So overall service was a 10, the meal was a 10, would definitely go there again.”

“Not just dinner but also a show! The food was amazing. They were very careful and clear with Coeliac/gluten free members of the party. The restaurant had strep free access and a ramp up to the habachi tables. What wasn't clear before arrival was the restaurant had it's own car park which is amazing so close to the city”

“I popped in after passing by and then turning around to come in. I'm glad I did! Very friendly team, welcoming and polite. I was served promptly and the food also came out within 5 minutes of ordering. I had the salmon fishcake with new potatoes, poached egg and salad. All cooked amazingly and the perfect portion. The menu had a great selection. Atmosphere was chill and relaxed with a tidy, clean environment. I will come back!”

“We ordered delivery last night to Newport Pagnell, is arrived still hot, the deep fried chilli beef was the best I have had, egg fried rice still fluffy. Many other dishes but all cooked lovely. Was very tasty and not watery. Each dish had its own flavour and cooked well. Delivery was before the time quoted. Lovely Friday night takeaway thank you”

“We were promptly and friendly seated despite not having a booking. Our server Leslie took our drinks order and brought them to our table quickly where he then took our food order. Our mains and sides were brought out and despite a side not being available we were offered an alternative. Our server made sure we were happy, that our food was great and drinks were to our taste. We were also provided a takeaway box for our leftovers so that it didn’t go to waste. Overall a great experience which mainly was down to our server Leslie, Friendly, professional and attentive”
