“I had never been to Althorp Coaching Inn until I was recommended their brilliant open mic event, that happens once a month in the barn. George is a brilliant and welcoming host who delivers excellent sound quality, making performing an absolute joy. It is the best of any I have been too. The staff at the bar are brilliant and the decor and atmosphere is superb. Thanks to visiting the open mic last Tuesday, I became aware of Liane Carroll performing on the Thursday and bought a ticket. I was delighted to see more events planned. I wold not have found this delightful venue were it not for the highly recommended open mic. I am looking forward to eating there next time.”

“We had lunch here today and it was a very good experience, my wife had a vegetarian curry, peanut based, very hot and tasty, perfect. I had lambs liver and bacon with onions and mashed potatoes, as I don't enjoy cabbage I asked for mushrooms instead which was duly served and delicious. “Myself, friends and family have actually been to this place multiple times but kept forgetting to review it. Cannot rate it higher, a must go to. We went on a Saturday evening. Massive choice in dishes well presented, freshly made and full of flavours, not at all oily like some places. New dishes on the menu which were very tasty. There are very reasonably priced choices, from inexpensive up to banquets. Gluten free and vegan options available. wheelchair access.”

“Wednesday- Steak night (although I think they have something on every night, bar Mondays!) I had the flat iron steak. Which is basically like a fillet steak. Hubby had a Serloin. Great food, atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff. Highly recommended.”

“Over 2 years ago, we got married at this location. The day was perfect. The staff were helpful throughout the planning process and the day itself went without issue. 2 years later, we came back, now with our son, for our 2 year Anniversary. Again, the staff were extremely professional, the food was worth more than what they charged, and, to help us celebrate, some items were made free for us. I cannot say just how amazing every aspect of the Woodland Manor Hotel is and the staff are amazing”

“Great local chippy, serving an extra portion of care! Stopped here on Friday evening, as we had visitors from abroad who wanted the fish and chip experience and we needed a gluten free option. Deb’s fish bar did not disappoint! Gluten free cod and haddock tasted almost exactly the same as the regular gluten ones. When ordering and needing a little extra advice and help service went above and beyond, even though it was during the Friday evening rush. Also saved us money as we would have massively over ordered. Portions were enormous. Personally, I preferred the cod over the haddock as the haddock still had the skin on, but that is 100% personal preference.”

“Absolutely fantastic Indian restaurant. We went for the first time for my mums birthday and we had a great experience. We had the banquet meal which is £14.99, you get a starter, main, side, naan and rice all included in the price. We brought a cake and they added a sparkler and brought it out whilst singing happy birthday. After this experience I’ve returned 3 times in 2 months. I will definitely be back, thank you again.”
