Water park in Nottingham

“Perfect Place to feed mixed grain bird food to the geese, swans, and ducks. A beautiful nature reserve where there's lots of trails to follow for miles if you want to explore.”

“Fantastic family holiday resort. You can swim all day and go on the water rides, rapids and pool. Wave machine is fun but doesnt always happen on time, depends on lifeguards. Beautiful forest and walk ways to explore on foot or bike. Peaceful lakes ...some lodges back onto lakes and you can watch the wildlife from the sofa. The animals are very brave as used to humans and often the geese will knock on the patio doors wanting a snack! Accommodation is clean and well designed. They are warm in colder weather. Can have a log fire which is lovely, can buy logs from shop. The activities are plentiful but some are pricey. Not much choice of craft activities for over 9 year olds...Need to book in advance to get time slots you want. Staff on site are friendly and courteous, and are happy to help. Restaurant staff are very nice and do everything they can to make it a good experience. Some building work is still going on at Sherwood...so some areas cordoned off still. The xmas area is looking lovely though. There is something for everyone here....you certainly get a good physical workout if you want it. Only one moan ....Busy on change over days and got a bit crazy due to overcrowding on water rapids. Some younger life guards could be benefit from controlling numbers a bit more and the youngsters who behave dangerously....so that it is a good experience for all. Need to accompany younger children. Overall great holiday and would definitely come back.”

“Brilliant swimming pool and best thing of all, it's free! You can spend all day here, they have cabanas to hire, but not worth it. Just grab some seats and set up an area for you and the family. The lifeguards are friendly and helpful, they even moved a baby cot from one side of the pool for us. The new ride is amazing too!”

“Phat Buns was a great experience with juicy, flavorful burgers and a lively atmosphere. The loaded fries and shakes made it even better!”

“Ran an event with Spring Lakes in the summer and it was great! The marquee was lovely, and did come with a screen and projector. The only slight issue was we went on a day when we had the extreme heat, and the marquee was very hot - nothing some fans/ or an air con unit couldn't cure - and let's face it, we don't usually get those types of temperatures here in the UK. Food was great (I'd ordered jacket potatoes which are a solid all-round when catering for a large group). Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely setting for an event, I know a couple of people from the group did stay behind to take advantage of the water activities as well.”

“One of my favourite places for a walk. I often visit here while at Holme Pierrepont County Park, or on my way back from Cotgrave Country Park via the old railway line that leads to Radcliffe On Trent. There's some incredible scenery all year round with a couple of routes through a nice wooded area that I always take. It also has a some open green spaces, a meadow, a pond with reed beds, a stream and a big lake with islands that's popular with bird watchers. It used to be a commercial gravel pit, but was transformed into a nature reserve in the 80s. It even has a route that is wheelchair friendly. Because it's close to Holme Pierrepont County Park you're never too far from a couple of cafes and toilets too”

“Our first visit to the Forge Mill was really interesting. A historic, grade II listed building. Great staff, good food with portions so big that my wife couldn't finish hers.”

“3 x 3 screenshots from the Butlins tourism videos, comparable to Butlins Minehead and Butlins Bognor Regis, in my opinion, this is the best if you are a middle aged person or simply prefer deep water. You can see the waterpark map on the Butlins website or Google Images.”

“Colliers Wood is an absolute idyll of a place and allows for people to simply 'be' and take in nature.”

“Nice area for a daily walk, anytime of the year, around the lake with the dog or just to sit and watch the wildlife go by. The Lake is in front of Kirk Hallam Community Academy and the meadows stretch all the way to the Nut Brook trail. Tracks are well maintained around the Nut Brook trail and are used for walking and cycling. During the wet season the meadows get flooded but again nice to see when frozen and snow is lying on the ground. Once a year the Friends of Kirk Hallam Lake and Meadows put on a Lakeside Summer Fair, where many stalls are put up around the lake for people to look at and buy goods of all different kinds. There is usually a band playing and places for you to eat and drink. Keep an eye out for this event, around the beginning of July, you will not be disappointed”

“There are several lovely places to take my dog for a walk but this is my favourite. It is on my doorstep and is somewhere that I go for reflection. This was my playground when I was a child so I know what an incredible job has been done to make it what it is today. Well done to everyone that has made this my little paradise.”

“Lovely walk round the reservoir. Car park available, (couldn't figure out how to add more time if paying via card though) 1st hour free with ticket, cheap prices. A lovely cafe to stop at. Lots of ducks to feed (NO bread)”

“Had a meal booked with my partner as we were staying the night a few doors down. Service was flawless. Very attentive and friendly and ensuring we had our water topped up. Food was absolutely delicious and flavourful. Very reasonably priced :) Had the prawn crackers, cocktail soup (enjoyed it so much forgot to take a photo until the last few mouthfuls), mocktail, chips, sweet and sour chicken and coconut rice. Enjoyed every bit. Highly recommended *****”

“Got my order wrong 1 time and wasn’t happy but have been going to this place for many years bound too happen 1 time right…the bacon is really fatty, nonetheless everything else is excellent. 10/10 rating the sausage is great the eggs are nice and the hash browns are amazing and staff are super nice and friendly :)”

“Lovely view, pleasant place ideal for fishing or walking the dog. Keep your eye out for resident kingfisher, woodpecker and 'Elvis' the muscovy duck. Take the kids to feed the ducks, swans and geese. Limited parking. Although level, be aware it is an unadopted road and may not be suitable for wheelchairs or those less mobile.”

“On Tuesday evening means a friend enjoyed a superb meal at this restaurant. The food and service is excellent. The staff are friendly and very professional. I have dined here many times and have always been impressed. It is the best in the area.”

“This pond is a fabulous little oasis in the middle of the estate! There are ducks around the pond which the kids love to feed. There is no official parking but plenty of places in the surrounding streets. It is brilliant to take a picnic in summer when the weather is good!”

“Excellent service, value and product. We had pizzas and chips and salad delivered to our anniversary party at the Stagg in Kimberley. Mansouri's were so friendly, helpful and efficient. It was much appreciated and made a terrific impression at our party.”
