“Very nice coffee, lots of choice for food and some lovely cakes. The staff were pleasant and attentive. Recommend very much. There's water provided for dogs, and disabled access is very good.”

“Been waiting to visit here since the lockdown began and a perfect day also, i came down from Birmingham for a beautiful day out, the country park is so impressive and so beautiful, it reminded be of the Netherfield Lagoons but this place has a huge wind turbine which is breathtaking impressive I've been wanting to see one close up ever since they started doting up on the landscape, i want one in my back garden”

“Lovely park by the castle in Newark. Nice to walk by the river. The castle is being renovated at the moment,they are replacing the drawbridge and that will be something special to see.”

“I so enjoyed being at Vernon Park with grandchild Sophia and freya and we also taken step daughter roxanne and we went with chloe and Brandon to take the kids to feed the ducks and the birds and then on to the park enjoyed it it was lovely xxx”

“Had a great time white water rafting with a group of friends, haven’t done it before so was a bit apprehensive but it was lots of fun! Our experienced guide Liam was first rate, explained everything well and helped us get the best out of the rapids, 5 star! Would definitely recommend and looking at when we can return already!”

“Went to have a look at the newly refurbished park, fantastic. Excellent base. There is a trampoline set into the ground for smaller children, looks safe, at the far end quite a large play area of San and sand toys. At the opposite end a huge tyre with centre for swinging on, lots to enjoy. Outside the wall are there is a new zip wire but as yet no wire on it. Also now a new fenced goal area.good news for local children, all it needs now is a paddling pool!.”

“Visited here on a busy Saturday evening, I didn’t have to wait long for a table and the service was brilliant. Food came out quickly and was piping hot. Catered brilliantly for allergies and felt happy that everything was separated and overseen by a manager. Love the new honey dip that comes with the halloumi starter, a new favourite of mine. Shout out to Connor and Koby, top service and couldn’t be more helpful”

“Nice cafe. Great food. Great value. Can get busy at peak times. The food served here is really good value, particularly the meatballs which are extremely tasty. They also sell them in the food shop. If you are an IKEA Family Member you can get free Tea or Coffee on weekdays. Lots of seating. Very light.”

“What a place! Fun for all the family. Prices are very affordable and my daughter lives her swimming lessons. The children's leisure pool has lots to keep them entertained at peak times it is braclet controlled and you will be asked to leave when your time is up. The changing facilities are communal with lots if cubicles. Which makes it easier for a father to change their daughter with out all the questions. The adults pool looks good and lanes are in operation for the serious swimmers iut there. The close proximity to the town centre means that you have to pay for parking but you do get reimbursed by the pool when you use it. All in all this is a good place to burn calories and time.”

“Just as always, getting here as the sun is setting is always a pleasure although it was disappointing not seeing any ducks this time along with missing the Blackthorn blossom. Ah well, there's always next early spring. Do go if you can. It's worthy of my ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Fun swimming at a good price, and fantastic little cafe at the entrance. Also decent selection of swimsuits and goggles to buy etc free parking and reasonable changing rooms”

“Our family enjoyed a walk and picnic here. Cycling, jogging are also good. Coffee shop is not bad.”

“Had to visit the doctors and afterwards took my youngest across the car park to the park, she loved it .”

“Come here daily with my dog. Love it here. There is plenty of space for dogs to exercise, a group of walkers who go daily. A wooded area for a change if scenery. The only downside is parking. There is a lay buy or 2 near the nuthall pub or you will need to park in one of the surrounding estates. There's a basketball court and a kids bike park there as well. Plenty to do! *edit* wear wellies/waterproofs if it has been raining considerably. It gets a bit boggy. Paths are fine to walk on but are prone to big puddles!”

“Love this little place, such a great amenity to have in a local park. Always pop here for an ice cream on hot days. Please note, if you have a push chair they are only allowed 1 at a time inside. There is a huge sign on the door that says this but some parents miss it and get ratty with the staff when told. It's not their fault, its fire regulations!”

“Brilliant pool and excellent staff. Spotless now as well. Little one has swimming lessons with kieran he loves it. Also take him for splash pool visits as well. Toddlers free now as well. Very busy but well run.”

“Starter: cheese and ham board: very nice, all fresh, olives, honey,ham cheses nuts ets delicious Main: Chicken dish very nice , not dry not at all, was just perfect. Lamb kofta very nice not to spice but not bland just right. Fries perfect crispy outside and soft inside. Fresh herbs from their garden nice touch. They also have vegetarian option and the plate was full of delicious food Beer cold, music great :-) Atmosphere: staff kept asking if we need anything. We all felt very welcome. We will definitely come back”

“What a lovely place to visit. The grounds are lovely with a play park and lots of picnic benches. So interesting to look around and you can go in for free or pay £4 per person if you want the information booklet. We will be back.”

“A favourite micropub of mine close to the centre of Kimberley and easily reach via Trent Barton R1 bus. Outside seating front and rear plus a little log burning stove in a snug separate building rear of the pub. Great selection of real ales and other drinks with an amazing decor - a must visit pub.”
