“A delicious range of beers. A very pleasant place for a few beers. An admission - the owner is a pal of mine.”
“Love everything about this pub. Great selection of drinks, ales. Lovely service and atmosphere all top notch. A real hidden gem on North Hill”
“What a lovely find for a late lunch! Andrew is very welcoming and explained the menu and options available to us. Our food was so tasty! He even came over and put on a magic show for my daughter! Would highly recommend!”
“The chicken, gammon and leak pie was fantastic. Apple and blackberry crumble was the best I've ever tasted. Fantastic atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.”
“This restaurant serves delicious home made dishes with great service in a lovely atmosphere. We learned it has long been a favourite with the locals and we can see why. May you continue to have success and we look forward to coming back again in the future”
“Lovely place for a meal or coffee. Chi chi and upmarket - but friendly and relaxed at the same time. Very beautiful shop and cafe. Small but great menu. Spotlessly clean too.”
“Fantastic spot, fantastic food. 100% returning to polish of the rest of the menu.”
“Popped in here for an early tea. Was really craving pierogi after getting hooked on them in Krakow. Honestly this place is like a little slice of Poland's food. Great music and atmosphere, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. I had the minced pork and turkey pierogi. Came out wonderful. Would definitely eat her again. Cheers guys”
“Great food, good portion sizes, cheap and very friendly staff highly recommend”
“Our first time to visit and won't be our last. Delicious food, great service and good atmosphere. I had the pulled pork tacos with pineapple salsa. So tasty, definitely recommend. Sweet potato fries also a great addition to my meal. Nice to have a vegan and vegetarian option for my niece. Plenty of food and full by the end of it. Good prices on the drinks as well, in other places they have a bigger mark up. My husband was happy he could play a game of pool before we left as well.”
“Lovely village pub, beautiful interior with a good selection of well-kept ales, didn't personally try the food but the menu looked impressive. Not the easiest to get to but worth the journey!”
“I brought my 16-year-old daughter in to see Brendon for her ear piercings. He was absolutely lovely and professional. She was nervous, but he helped calm her down and made the experience easy and positive. Thank you so much, Brendon!”
“Our first trip to Dartmouth since lockdown. Our favourite cafe bistro was closed so we found Beth's Bistro. And what a good choice. A comprehensive menu and extras on a blackboard as well. We both had beetroot and feta cheese salad which was excellent. Very welcoming and good service. We will be back. Cullen Skink and a smoked haddock main dish look appealing. It was good to eat out after 107 days !!”
“Had an incredible meal here whilst on touring round Cornwall, we stumbled upon it by coincidence but were very impressed by the quality and presentation of the food! The sardines were also beautiful! Well worth a visit! The only issue is parking and anyone trying to find it! Definitely needs more marketing to show were it is.”
“If you’re seeking an exceptional dining experience, look no further than Frou Frou, where every element—from the food to the atmosphere—promises to delight. My recent visit was a journey through flavours, textures, and impeccable service that left me eager to return. I began with the Creamy Garlic Mushrooms, served alongside perfectly toasted sourdough bread. The rich, velvety sauce, infused with just the right amount of garlic, paired beautifully with the warm, crusty bread. It was a comforting yet refined start to the meal, setting high expectations for what was to come. For the main course, I chose the Creedy Carver Confit Duck Leg, served with a redcurrant and star anise jus, accompanied by dauphinoise potatoes and red cabbage. The duck was exquisitely tender, with its savory richness complemented by the subtle sweetness and aromatic warmth of the jus. The dauphinoise potatoes were indulgent, creamy, and flawlessly seasoned, while the red cabbage added a vibrant, tangy contrast that tied the dish together. Dessert was a showstopper: Raspberry Cheesecake. The balance of tart raspberries against the creamy, luscious cheesecake was a triumph. It was neither too sweet nor too heavy, leaving the perfect lingering note to end the meal. Beyond the food, the atmosphere at Frou Frou is enchanting. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with an attention to detail that creates a sense of understated elegance. The staff deserve particular praise for their friendliness and professionalism, striking a perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion. Frou Frou offers not just a meal but an experience. With its outstanding cuisine, delightful atmosphere, and exceptional service, it’s a place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience.”
“A yummy find! We had the vegetable Kebabs takeaway, came with loads of veggies, an absolute slab of hallomi, a yummy side salad, loads of chips, and a homemade tomarto sauce with wrap & pita. Very happy with our dinner!”
“The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, with attentive service. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavour! Whether you’re looking for a cozy dinner or a special night out, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!”
“I stopped off here for a coffee and couldn't resist trying the sarma (stuffed vine leaves). Delicious food and the three sarmas and the side salad were a good meal. The dip was creamy and tasty. The coffee was good quality, and I ordered a second cup. The garden location is gorgeous and tranquil. An oasis from the bustle of The Barbican. I will be back to try the cake.”
“Lovely coffee shop in Saltash, friendly chatty owner, pleasant full of colours interior. Hot drinks and a cake saved us from harsh elements outside.”
“Great place, no time limit, climb all day”
“Having dropped in for a coffee, I stopped for a brie and cranberry toastie. Delicious!. Generous contents. Very relaxed too.”
“Friendliest cafe for dogs and their humans. Breakfast was tasty and good price, nice coffee and lovely hot chocolate. Lots of free parking, clean toilets. Servers all came out and said hello and chatted and gave my dog treats (after asking me first). Couldn't have picked a nicer place to get breakfast in Plymouth.”
“The best coffee in and around Kingsbridge for sure!! Great food and excellent smoothies - particularly the protein smoothie (a must-try). The staff are mostly friendly, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. The cafe has plenty of seating both inside and out, so it’s an ideal place to relax and enjoy a meal or a drink. Whether you're looking for a quick t/a coffee or a leisurely lunch, Fika is a great option.”
“Lovely small coffee shop with super range of home made cakes. Nice coffee & super range of savory items”
“Really nice deli and café, with a big range of salads, pastries and pastries. Lots of nice options to sit down and eat and loads of nice fancy food to buy. Would be nice if there were some highchairs”
“Seems like Sutton Snax's have been here forever, I first went in this shop when I was a 15 year old apprentice for Plymouth City Council and that was 58 years ago, their standards have never dropped, in fact if anything they've probably gone up. They sell the cheapest pasties in the city as well as fresh made while you wait 'baps' and various other food and hot and cold drinks, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, but note their opening hours though.”
“Lovely local pub, quiet ,nice pint ,dog friendly”
“Perfect! Owners lovely. So welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room beautiful and well equipped. Breakfast amazing too. Nothing bad to say. Just great!!”
“Very good food in tea room. Wonderful garden at the rear of premises and they now have a small but very reasonably price shop within the tearoom. Well worth trying. Service very good both in shop and tearoom.”
“I visited the Lemon Tree in Elburton today. I must say the customer service is one of the best I have had, from the moment I walked in the door I was made to feel welcome. The café was lovely and clean, the decor makes you feel like you are in a sunny climate, even on a cloudy day. The owners have put so much thought into everything, even the nice music playing. The food was lovely. The menu is not too big but everything you want is there and cooked so well.i had the Lemon Tree eggs and Toast, it is so nice to find a café that can cook bacon and eggs properly and with the added touch of avocado and chilli flake just topped it off perfectly. The presentation was so nice. I cannot wait to come again and try more dishes. I also look forward to coming one evening to try the evening menu. This café has always been a credit to the village, and I think under the new owners they are continuing that.”
