“I often come in to sit and study for my masters course. The WiFi is much better than most coffee shops in the area so it's great for working on my laptop, plus there's plenty of plugs to charge while I'm here. Drinks are fab and staff are really friendly. Ren and Kathy are particularly lovely and always check in on how my course is going. It's lovely and a great environment overall! Thanks team ”

“We have on occasion popped to the Fisherman’s rest for a drink: This evening we happened to come home to a power cut so called ahead to see if there were tables available. When we arrived, we were seated straight away. When we ordered we were informed there was no bacon. We asked if we could have pulled pork with the burger as a swap which was accommodated and my husband said it was delicious. I had the sirloin steak which was beautifully cooked. Some of the best onion rings I have had in a long time. Other members of our party had scampi which looked golden. Those who had dessert were pleased that they opted for the mini dessert and a drink option as this was just enough. Lovely, friendly service. We will definitely pop by again - even for a drink.”

“Whether you're a tourist or on a business trip, this is a superb place to stop for a night or a longer stay. It has a very pleasant local feel in every respect : the rooms, the meals, the breakfast, the pub... The premises are clean and the hosts are so friendly. Excellent ! Fareham and the surrounding area are superb.”

“Our Monday club group had a lovely fish and chips to die for today !!! The service was 1st class and the food was exceptional. The many times we have been to the Seagull we have never been disappointed. Booking was easy on line followed up by a visit to confirm details and timing. Staff very helpful.”

“The staff are polite, professional and accommodating. I was one of two carers with a client. They were helpful and asked all the right questions. All staff were chatty, smiley and knowledgeable. I asked for an espresso and they offered iced water which a lot of cafés (and myself) forget most of the time. Safe to say we'll be happy to come back again, staff deserve praise for their work.”

“It was very quite when I visited, with only a few other people in. Perhaps it was because it was 11.30, so it was before the lunch time rush. They had lots of food to choose from, and the staff were friendly.”

“We chose The Roundabout Hotel as the venue for my father's wake. The restaurant area is intimate and relaxed making the perfect setting for our family and friends to gather and share our memories. “Absolutely fantastic! I recently had the pleasure of trying both the Chicken Doner Kebab and the Chicken Burger, and wow, they were truly delicious! The taste was absolutely awesome, and the ambiance of the place really added to the experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. But let me tell you, the Chicken Doner Kebab is something special. It's my absolute favourite! That crispy texture as you bite into it is just unbelievably yummy. I highly recommend trying it!”

“Went for a Christmas family meal today (18 of us) Very well managed, not to busy, food was banging and staff where fabulous as they always are! Mega shout out to the two lady's today dealing with our service (blonde and dark hair) You two were absolute stars and very welcoming, never ever had a bad time at the sailmaker. “Visit here quite regularly now, great staff, great drinks, lots of places to sit. Myself at a recent visit was attempting to save a pigeon that had just flown into their window and severely injured itself, sadly did not survive but the girls working were super helpful. Only issue I'd say is cleanliness and not enough toilets.”
