“This is a lovey little theatre in a very good location for parking and the town centre. We took our grandchildren to the panto.. All the Staffa are so friendly and helpful, free cloakroom, easy access to snacks and treats within. The seating is well tiered to ensure good views of the stage. Lots of different shows on all year. Quite a gem.”
“Camped out here, great for the ridgeway and if doing king alfreds way, stunning views. Bit tired in places but that adds to the charm”
“Lovely setting in Blewbury. The farm shop is a delight with fresh produce, preserves and seeds. Do drop in and see for yourself. Have a lovely breakfast at the restaurant or drop in for cake and tea. Lovely cosy setting.”
“Everybody likes an English breakfast. Now, take that, do it properly, put it in a burrito wrap, toast it and you might be close to the most delicious breakfast burrito that I have ever had, the Richfields one!!! Unbeatable, seriously! Also loved the chai latte and the smoothies”
“went with my friend who lives nearby. we were looking for a nicel local spot for some lunch and this was a perfect find. had the flat white and the reuben toastie, both excellent. the kitchen had technically closed but they made my toastie anyway which was very lovely.”
“Had a lovely time for a Pottery Painting Afternoon Tea as an early mother's day treat for my mum and I. The painting was relaxing and fun, the staff were so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious and the table was beautifully decorated. Thank you very much!”
“We had a great room with nice and high ceilings. Towels, Tea / Coffee and fridge all provided. Super comfortable beds. Breakfast had to be pre-booked before 8pm but it was exceptional, the chef's service and food was perfect. Actually had one of my best hot chocolates ever! We had dinner the night before really large list of options fully catered for veggies and vegans which was great to see. Would recommend staying here and having some food too. Not much around for convenience shops so stop on the way in for what you may need.”
“The beef shin potatoes was one of a kind a really special dish. The duck egg chorizo was right there with it. Best breakfast in reading hands down!”
“A favourite pub for the Morris Dancing community. Great setting, beautiful old "real pub" with a fine range of real ales. The staff are lovely and the regulars, of which there are several, very welcoming. Given its popularity, on street parking can be challenging but well worth the effort.”
“Visited for the first time last weekend, and absolutely loved the food and the vibe! The part-time waitress we had was amazing and a lovely lady that definitely looked after us! Please note that service can take a while, we stayed over 2 hours for a main and a dessert!”
“A surprise dinner booked by hubby. The restaurant is cosy with proper tablecloths. The mirrors on the walls make it look bigger but it was lovely. Staff are friendly, menu was quite extensive in choice and they still had specials available. Choices were beef carpaccio- veal - cauliflower cheese - minestrone soup and lam in mushroom and red wine sauce , potato’s and mixed veg…. It all tasted really good - we will be back”
“Came across these guys by chance and loved everything about this place SO much, that I cancelled our reservation we had elsewhere the following evening, and we brought our friends here instead!! The service and the food is incredible! If we’re back in Henley again anytime soon we 100% will come back here and will be HIGHLY recommending to anyone visiting, to experience this wonderful eatery!! Absolutely fantastic guys, thank you for giving my tastebuds the best authentic Italian meal they’ve ever had!! STUNNING!”
“I came here for a Sunday roast today and !!WOW!! The beef melted in my mouth and the service was great. The staff are very helpful and made me feel welcome. Thank you to the Cricketers”
“Lovely relaxed place for food and non alcoholic drinks.”
“Quite charming. Its staff and patrons are really genuine and friendly; you can tell that this is a well-loved place with great vibes and its loyal regulars. Where many breakfast places were empty, this place was absolutely jam-packed, which is a testament to how well-loved it is in the community. I wouldn’t say that the food or presentation is trying to blow your mind. It’s more of a home-cooked, comfort food. The best part is really the staff; the young servers are so polite and hardworking. Very quaint!”
“Stopped here for a pint a couple of times... Great pub garden, lots of seating and nicely set out. Tables and sunshades are plentiful, and there are big and small tables, private areas and loads of character. Drinks are tasty and reasonably priced. Also plenty of parking and food looked delicious!”
“13 of us had Christmas lunch in early December. No words can describe it. Brilliant, fantastic. The food was hot, perfectly cooked. The service was exceptional.”
“Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre: A Pawsitively Wonderful Day on the Water I recently had the pleasure of visiting Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre and it was an absolute gem! The staff, led by the incredibly friendly and accommodating Paul, went above and beyond to make my day unforgettable. Despite my late arrival for the last session of the day. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and well-cared for. The team provided everything I needed to hit the water and have a blast, ensuring a safe and hassle-free experience. He even offered to delay the end of the session to give me more time on the water. One of the highlights was Paul's kindness in arranging for a colleague to bring his phone from the office to the boat. He then took the time to capture a series of amazing photos, which he later sent to me, creating lasting memories of my adventure with my beloved dog, Xena Warrior Princess. I'm so grateful to Paul and his colleagues for making my last road trip with my dog so special. Their dedication to providing exceptional service made all the difference. If you're looking for a fun and memorable day out on the water, I highly recommend Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre. You won't be disappointed! I will certainly be visiting again:)”
“Lovely little brunch. We had the croque monsieur and a savoyarde galette with a cappucino. We will 100% be back. What a little gem of a place.”
“Parked near Waitrose on the way to have dinner with my wife at on of Farnham's High Street restaurants. However, on the way we noticed this small Italian restaurant and as the menu looked good we decided to give it a try. It was very early so we were the first customers, hence the 4-stars for Atmosphere. However it began to fill up as we left. The Owner and waiter welcomed us and they were very friendly. The food was excellent (and I mean excellent) - some of the best Italian food we have had. We dine out fairly regularly so we do not say this lightly. I really could not fault anything - the starters, the mains even the coffee was perfect It was also nice to find a restaurant that was more of a family business rather than one of the national chain establishments. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough and if you are in Farnham then I strongly urge you to try the Barn Bistro. You will not be disappointed.”
“Fantastic full English breakfast at Daphne's which cost £10.99. The food cooked all fresh to order and piping hot. The sausage is the test of a great breakfast and this one was excellent. Full of flavour with a hint of herbs. The fried bread was thick and cooked to perfection. The eggs were lovely and runny. My wife had a brie and bacon panini which was also very good. And the hot chocolate was really indulgent. There is parking available at the back of the coffee shop. We would highly recommend this pit stop for breakfast , brunch or coffee.”
“Very sadly this wonderful live music venue is now closed, as no alternative location could be found despite heroic efforts by many people. Its premises were in the ground floor of a multi storey car park which is condemned due to failing concrete. Bids are being taken for the excellent sound, lighting and other fittings and equipment. I'm in tears at the loss of The Couch. May its spirit live on elsewhere.”
“We hosted a baby shower here, and it was amazing! We had just over 80 people and the staff were all so accommodating and helpful. Anything we had forgot, they had and provided for us. Very friendly and welcoming. The venue itself is also beautiful and was set up especially to accommodate us bringing our own food. We appreciate all the help we had in setting up and packing away. We will definitely be back! And recommending the place to everyone. Thank you again so much for helping to make our day one to remember.”
“The coffee was great, and the place is pet-friendly. I’ve visited several times and always left satisfied!”
“My local curry restaurant. I highly recommend that you try this place if you like curry and you live in the reading area. Quite possibly the only reason to come to burghfield unless you live here or you've got lost looking for somewhere else. The onion bhajis are excellent to start. The mixed grill main course is a family favourite and I'm slowly working my way through their other dishes - so far, all good. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent.”
“10/10! Fantastic food, authentic French flavors! It’s a perfect spot for a light lunch/tea as the serving sizes are on the smaller side. If it comes with a green salad, it will be served on a small plate. Next time I’ll try an entree sized item as I’m still a bit peckish — but to be fair, I did come in for a very late lunch. The little green salads are delicious and crunchy. I had the salmon and leek quiche and my partner the seafood crepe — both outstanding! Looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend!”
“First started bringing my eldest here and then my second. I love how calm it is compared to big soft plays with older ones running around, perfect for smaller ones. Super clean and great if you have anyone with allergies. Sally and the team are really friendly and nothing is too much for them. We especially love the themed party days.”
“We had a lovely family celebration here last Sunday lunchtime. There we eight of us ranging from us in our seventies to a one year old. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and varied - something to suit all tastes, beautifully cooked and served hot and all at the same time which is quite a feat when we had all chosen different dishes. We were seated in an oval table in the window which was just perfect. After our meal we were able to enjoy the sunshine in the large garden at the back. We will definitely visit again.”
“Great drinks and sandwiches! The place is cosy, the owner is so cute and welcoming. Had great time over there!”
“The best takeaway in the area!!! I had a cheeseburger and wings. The food was made fresh and the portion sizes were very generous. Customer service was also excellent and overall 10/10. Will definitely become my go to spot. I highly recommend!”
