“Blandy’s is a hidden gem. It’s located in a luxury retirement home in the most beautiful building and grounds. The staff are all very welcoming and attentive. I was hosting a private dining event and it was very easy to book, and Ionut and his team were fantastic in ensuring that everything ran smoothly and was how I wanted it. I was able to make requests and there was no pressure to leave the venue by a certain time. Everyone commented on how classy and peaceful the venue was. The food was lovely too, so all in all it was perfect and just how I wanted it.”
“Best kebab in Bracknell. The Staff is super friendly and attentive to any requests you may have.”
“Fab coffee and even better cajun chicken baguette, served with a smile in a super comfortable and stylish setting :)”
“Idyllic location and a quintessential English tea room. The chicken and bacon salad was delicious and freshly made. Good value for money. Staff very happy and efficient. Would highly recommend visiting.”
“A little bit of Italy in Marlow! I have been a customer of Satollo for many years....most definitely the best coffee in Marlow, Henley - everywhere in fact! The cafe interior is rustic and has a fabulous vibe and the outdoor seating in Summer or Autumn with the canopy and heaters make for a cosy place to sit. The cafe may be small, however, the food they serve is plentiful and delicious from Pesto Bruschetta (my favourite) Parmigiana, cheese/meat boards served beautifully and often can not be finished so you go home with a box! and another favourite, Grigliato sandwich or salad....yum! The staff are very polite and friendly and the new Manageress, Karolina is quick, efficient and able to "read" the room resulting in the service she and her staff give to be first class. It says it all when the young students come back to work there year after year! They remember your name and your coffee choice (which I love) and even ask after my elderly mother who visits now and again. The fresh homemade cakes and pastries are amazing....chocolate croissant being my grandchildren's favourite and the lemon cannoli is a must! Whether it is lunch/coffee with friends or a peaceful half hour on your own sipping a lovely cup of coffee or glass of wine, I would definitely recommend a visit to Satollo. Enjoy!”
“The service here is absolutely brilliant - that is what hits you when you arrive first arrive. We were welcomed by Peter - who is an absolute master of his craft and so charming. Our lunch was delicious and the whole atmosphere was just perfect on a really grey and damp Saturday lunchtime. We will be back soon. Thank you”
“A lovely garden to wander around and enjoy the peace. The fruit in the walled garden looked amazing. Easily kept my grandchildren occupied meandering through the paths. Lovely cafe and tasty icecream!”
“We used the Hampshire Top Attraction website to get discounted entry. It's a lovely clean attraction with a couple of cafes serving a variety of food and drink. We bought a picnic with us and there were plenty of places to stop and eat at picnic benches in the sun and shade. We didn't walk around until after lunch as our children enjoyed the new tree top adventure park so much. Even though we have young children the tree top adventure was safe for them and mostly big enough for us adults to climb up and walk upright with them, adults are also able to fit on the slides and we weren't the only ones having a go!! The birds are well cared for and we wandered around slowly, our children enjoyed looking into the exhibits and trying to find the different birds. They absolutely loved the exhibits where the birds were free roaming and flying around our heads. All in all it was a slow paced, relaxed day out enjoyed by all.”
“Selfridges’ window displays have always been a visual treat, and their Christmas displays are especially impressive. This year, they’ve partnered with Disney—more precisely, Disney is sponsoring all the holiday window displays, as well as some interior décor, including the iconic Christmas Shop. As my daughter and I walked past Selfridges, we couldn’t help but stop and take photos of every window. She asked, “What’s the connection between Disney and Selfridges that makes this partnership make sense?” A good question. For starters, Selfridges would be investing in elaborate Christmas displays regardless. And Disney, with its beloved characters and family-friendly films, is already a major part of the holiday entertainment landscape. But there’s more: earned media. Without this partnership, most people wouldn’t visit a Disney store or theme park just to take photos and share them online. But now, thanks to Selfridges’ prime location and footfall, Disney is receiving a flood of organic social media exposure—mine included. From a marketing perspective, this is a brilliant collaboration. Selfridges benefits from eye-catching displays and likely savings on decoration costs. Disney gains massive brand visibility and indirect promotion for its content and platforms like Disney+. A smart, win-win partnership that makes the season a little more magical for everyone.”
“What a love store! Lots of pottery, TONS of high quality cards, and many other gifts. Their garden is colorful and delightful.”
“Fantastic food, great service, and a really warm atmosphere. We were a group of 15 booked in for a Christmas meal on a busy Friday night, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The food was piping hot, well presented, and delicious. The staff were friendly, efficient, and did a brilliant job of getting everyone into the Christmas spirit.”
“A beautiful place to relax and have food and drink. Im adding this review in 2025 August. We stopped here for a coffee and relaxing in the front garden. It was absolutely a great experience. Staff are so attentive, polite and the service is very good. We loved our espresso and hot chocolate with shortbread biscuits. We go go back for a full menu sometime soon. The tird time, we had dinner and I shared photos. Great service and lovely food. I would go back again with a group to have another lovely experience. Thanks to Rebecca and other staff who served us, and the chefs.”
“Great time.e spent with family over a birthday meal. Food was very tasty, well presented and fairly priced. Good choice of drinks too. Staff very friendly contributing to a brilliant dining experience overall - thoroughly recommend.”
“We had never been to this pub before but wanted a change to our local. The food was amazing!!! Couldn't fault a thing. Would highly recommend for a Sunday roast. Also such a lovely cosy atmosphere, service very friendly and welcoming.”
“We were well looked after by a Trojan of a landlady- food was hot, quickly served and good quality. I’ve never been served so quickly in a busy pub- a dying art. The ales are very well kept. Lovely atmosphere. We will return”
“Nice pub supporting the local community which is great to see.”
“Had a lovely visit to Miller and Carter today. We were served by Joe who was a lovely, friendly and happy. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the duck and mango salad and it was very tasty (just slightly to many chillies). We were there to celebrate my son's graduations and a birthday and they brought over free desserts for both and sang happy birthday. Brilliant visit and will definitely visit again.”
“Lovey cozy pub. Had one of my best ever roast dinners here, the Yorkshire Puddings are special! Staff are friendly and accommodating.”
“A hidden away tearoom on the bank of the Kennet and Avon canal, offering a lovely selection of homemade cakes, good tea and coffee as well as a range of breakfasts and light lunches, which I have not tried but they looked good. Lots of outdoor seating, inside rather less. There's a smallish carpark and donations for use are requested. So if you do one of the many walks around the area you can start and finish with a good café and all it offers.”
“The best thing about this place is the team, such a warm welcome who were helpful with a slightly disabled member of our group. Thank you Alex and apologies if i got your name wrong. The food was tasty and reasonably priced and we loved the wall/door murals.”
“I've been a regular at Laz Tadim for over 5 years now. If you're local, you probably already know how good they are, but if you're new, keep reading. Laz Tadim is not your average UK kebab shop. The place is spacious, bright, and always spotless with friendly staff. You can really see how efficient and popular they are, especially during peak hours. On quieter days, you might even get to chat with the owner or others serving you. I’ve genuinely never seen such high quality packaging from any takeaway in my 18 years in the UK. They pay attention to the little things, and it shows. We usually go for the chicken shish, which comes with freshly baked bread and fresh salad. The freshness and quality are always spot on. Portions are very good, and everything tastes clean and well prepared. I haven’t had steaming hot bread with grilled meat like this anywhere else in the UK. We also enjoy their doners and grilled chicken wings now and then. I’ve tried their fish and chips a few times when ordering just for myself, and it's excellent too. And if you're into sauces, definitely try the Turkish Ezme. It’s a homemade sweet and spicy tomato and herb mix that my wife absolutely loves. Pro tip: order directly through their website for collection. It's quick, easy, and they often throw in a little something extra, which is always a nice surprise.”
“Real good food. I went with a large group and so I tried lots of different foods. Couldn't complain about any of them. Would definitely recommend going here. It's a bit more expensive than some of the other restaurants around, but I think that if you're looking for a decent meal that's quality meets the price. you can't go wrong with this place! Service was great too, which is always a plus.”
“So fab! Really warm and welcoming service. Some posters about the history on the walls would've been cool! (Although you can read all about King Charles I and the bowling green online!) Food was delicious too and can absolutely recommend the Camembert cheese pot!”
“You will find it hard to get a better place to eat or drink..The ambience is delightful along with the food and staff. Warm fires in the winter months or enjoy peaceful outdoor countryside seating in the summer, with a ford close by for the children to paddle in. Also very dog friendly. 10/10”
“Really liked this pub! Service was really good and the food was delicious. The interior of this pub was really unusual with tall ceilings. Love it”
“My family and I visited The Shurlock Inn for the first time as it was suggested to me by a colleague at work. We were greeted by the team and very quickly placed our orders. I would say we must have waited max 10-15 mins for the food to arrive at our table! We chose to go for Sunday roasts which were beautifully presented, everything tasted so fresh. We also went for desserts. Again, everything was presented nicely and tasted excellent. Our only thing which could be improved potentially is the thickness of the gravy/custard as these both seemed on the watery side. I did not let this reflect the rating as everybody has their own preference for gravy! We definitely will return. Thank you again. Courtney & Family.”
“Clay’s is a fantastic restaurant. The staff are warm and welcoming and the decor is modern and interesting. The food is great quality and authentic. Every dish is unique and completely moreish! Whenever we have friends and family visiting, we always try to book a table.”
“This pub is now owned by Siren Craft Brewery in Wokingham. Again dog friendly. A warm welcome by the staff and customers alike. Enjoyed my visit, first time I have been here since it had been taken over.”
“My now wife and I chose LSB to celebrate our wedding reception and we could not have been happier! Jason and the team made sure our special day went flawlessly and truly was the most beautiful day of our lives! The service was 12/10! The food was 12/10! The attention to detail was incredible. They knew the seating plan and which guest had which dish, they accommodated our request for gaps in between courses and they just genuinely provided the most incredible experience anybody could wish! The venue is beautiful and honestly I can’t recommend them enough! I would give 6stars if I could. We will definitely be coming back!”
“Everything was delicious! Queue times are a bit brutal if you’re coming during lunch time on the weekend, but other than that - I can totally see why this place is listed as one of the best restaurants in Reading.”
