“Great little spot for tasty, wholesome food in the beautiful Goring. Amazing juices, soups and sandwiches. The shakshuka was one of the best I’ve had! Friendly service and care taken to note your dietary requirements. I’m dairy & gluten free and have no trouble finding something delicious to eat every visit.”
“I honestly cannot fault this place. The food is heavenly, staff are perfect, and vibes are immaculate! On a hot day enjoy your food and drinks by the beautiful canal, on a cold day enjoy them inside the cosy restaurants with the fire. I genuinely could not name a nicer restaurant/ pub if I tried. The only problem is my bank account because I can’t stop coming here for the gorgeous food! Although I would say reasonably priced for the quality you get.”
“lovely cosy pub, amazing food, friendly staff. the beer garden is vast and really nicely decorated with an outside bar and tv. Highly recommend to everyone.”
“Came here the other day and i was pleasantly surprised, Im not a local of Reading so this area was new to me but it felt like i discovered a new world. Everyone was so friendly (customers and staff). It was fairly busy in there and i still got served within seconds. The girl behind the bar, chelsea i think her name was, she was a breath of fresh air had good banter and service was top notch. Definitely coming back here when im next in reading 10/10”
“Great selection of ales, well some of the, err more creative ones can be a bit hit or mis. But you'll never know until you try them. For me, that's half the fun, and sometimes you will find an absolute blinder (in both interpretations of the word) it's a very chill place and great outside in the sun.”
“Great food and drinks. The staff are quick and the food is good. There’s several vegan options for both pizza and burger. Great for multiple people and for an after work drink. If you’re going with a lot of people I’d recommend making a reservation especially on a Friday weekend”
“Lovely pub, really nice and cozy atmosphere inside. I really fancied a steak and I had it with a lovely glass of the Californian Malbec. Food was quickly served, well presented and extremely tasty, super well seasoned steak. The two gentlemen behind the bar are the kindest ever, fantastic customer service. Thanks guys, I am coming back tomorrow for Sunday Roast!!!!”
“Great dog friendly stop, not too far from the M4 located on the canal towpath. Very dog friendly , the owner was so nice to our dogs and spent time chatting to us, just what you want from a family owned pub! Food was fresh and tasty. We recommend!!”
“Excellent Beer. Rooms? Jaipur is well kept now it’s settled. Staff experience. Varies inevitably according to who served. Bar staff really good. Folks collecting glasses, a bit irritating. Say thank you!”
“Come every week for Getting Quizzy with it. Kate is amazing and it's always a fantastic atmosphere. Sadly took steak frites off the menu or food would be 5 star”
“My favourite pub in Reading. Cosy, super friendly, quieky, great beers, tremendous spirit selection. Easily my favourite option for a quiet pint and a book after work, or to come with friends”
“This is a venue where I'd been to before always had a welcoming atmosphere. It's a great place for friends and family alike and also dog friendly. The food drink is good value for money great taste know brand service is with a smile”
“Loved our dinner at The Griffin, we had Lucian as our waiter and he was very accommodating and friendly. He welcomed us in and made sure all needs were met. The pies were delicious!”
“We took a party of 47 oldies and volunteers for a day trip to Henley on 11 June - a river boat trip along the Henley regatta course and on to the Baskerville Arms in Shiplake for a wonderful lunch and a relaxing afternoon in their beautiful pub garden before the coach trip back home to Farnham. Graham and Gill were so helpful in advance of our visit - creating a special menu and endeavouring to meet specific needs. And on the day all food was served in good time and efficiently by a team of happy and willing staff with everybody getting what they had advanced ordered. So many positive comments from our oldies - they want to go back next year!! Graham also ensured that the coach could park right outside the pub making life so much easier for everyone. Thank you for a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️++ service and meal.”
“Outstanding 3-screen cinema, conveniently situated in the heart of Henley-on-Thames, very close to a large car park - £3 for 3 hours parking. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. They make you feel at home immediately. From the cosy coffee shop located on the ground floor to the cafe bar on the first floor, the Regal Picturehouse feels both luxurious and homely. Both the ground floor and first-floor cafe seating areas afford pleasant views of the surrounding town. The tea and coffee we purchased tasted very nice indeed. The screening rooms, like everything else, are kept scrupulously clean. The seats are comfortable, with plenty of leg room. The sound is loud enough but not too loud and crystal clear. The adverts before the film, not too long at all. The toilets are clean and well-appointed and offer up hand lotion as well as liquid soap. A nice touch. There is a customer lift as well as stairs to the first floor. There is an option to become a member, which as well as offering plenty of benefits with regards to the cinema, also includes discounts for patronising local businesses in the town. Regal Picturehouse, Henley, comes very highly recommended indeed.”
“Nice cozy pub. We went there after a walk along the Chiltern way. Photo is taken at Greys Court nearby”
“Boooooom! Service, food, location… 5 star all the way! Immediately after a lovely morning cruise, and the brain calories burnt along the way in speed using a knots system, then immediately off the boat and straight into this fabulous riverside restaurant that enables dine al fresco with a shade, to avoid getting burnt! The food was absolutely amazing and service was exceptionally warming and welcoming at the same time!”
“I celebrated my 21st birthday at Cote Brasserie with my girlfriend. Sam, Melissa and Angel were brilliant waiters, very attentive and friendly. Made my birthday very special and even gave me a card which was a lovely touch! Thank you :)”
“A Pint at The Victoria Arms, Binfield Nestled in the charming village of Binfield, The Victoria Arms is a delightful pub that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by friendly staff and the comforting hum of conversation. The rustic decor, with its wooden beams and cozy seating, makes you feel right at home. The selection of beers is impressive, catering to all tastes. Whether you're a fan of classic ales or prefer something more contemporary, there's a pint for everyone. I opted for a locally brewed ale, which was perfectly chilled and had a rich, full-bodied flavor that was simply delightful. One of the highlights of The Victoria Arms is its outdoor seating area. On a sunny day, there's nothing better than enjoying your pint in the garden, surrounded by greenery and the occasional chirping of birds. It's a little slice of tranquility that adds to the overall experience. The pub also offers a great selection of food, from hearty meals to light snacks. Pairing my pint with a delicious burger was a fantastic choice, and the quality of the food was top-notch. Overall, The Victoria Arms in Binfield is a gem of a pub. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind after a long day or somewhere to catch up with friends, this pub offers the perfect setting. The combination of excellent drinks, tasty food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit.”
“Amazing food and great service. I had the scampi and chips and for dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding pudding.”
“The best coffee shop in Wokingham. Nice pastries which are clearly made from quality butter and not too heavy. Tasty coffee and, it’s a small thing but, love the way they give you your cappuccino with a little plate and spoon. It’s always very busy though, so the staff look rushed!”
“Fantastic pub! The food was excellent and we were very well looked after by Nathan and the rest of the team who were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.”
“Really relaxed and welcoming vibe for food and drink: from breakfast right through to cocktails and dinner. Lovely lighting, spacious tables and seats, really good and friendly service too. Our brunch was perfect!”
“A very nice coffee shop that does breakfast and coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice. Good amount of comfortable seating, high chairs l, books and some toys for kids. Very welcome and friendly staff, WiFi available and easy to sit and catch up on some work.”
“Lovely cafe, great cakes and drinks, especially liked the decor upstairs. Staff very friendly and helpful.”
“Booked the pub to celebrate my 50th birthday party. The staff were brilliant, laying on a good quality buffet for 70 people The beer flowed well and the atmosphere was great - would fully recommend!!”
“First time here and was very happy. Lovely garden, fresh quality food that's reasonably priced. All the staff were very friendly , attentive and happy to help. Nice atmosphere.”
“The Duke is a fantastic venue for a party. We held an 18th birthday party in the marquee at the back of the pub and the landlord and his staff pulled out all the stops to make it a fantastic night. The party lighting in the marquee was spot on, drinks were ordered and delivered on demand into the marquee, the Chinese buffet was great, and there was a cocktail bar just outside the marquee. This is indeed Marlow’s hidden gem!”
“Love this place. Great staff and good coffee. Added a star for the Rainbow Flag”
“After looking on maps here for a matcha latte and not finding anywhere worth the visit, I fortunately stumbled across this place and as it turns out, they do a matcha latte! Tastes very nice too. Staff were lovely, I came in and asked if they had any croissants, they had none but some were baking. When they were ready, the staff came over to me but I was on the phone so she signalled if I want one, I gave a thumbs up and she came back with a fresh warm croissant and the contactless payment which in my opinion was great customer service. I’ll be returning here, that’s for sure.”
