“Came here for brunch with my family. Really good atmosphere. The food was delicious and top quality ingredients. Nice big pot of tea and the kids loved their milkshakes. Brooke and Charlie are so welcoming and friendly. Dog friendly too with treats at the ready. Can’t wait to visit again.”

“I reviewed The Plough a couple of months ago and said my wife and I would be coming back, and last night we did. I had the fish and chips again to see if it was as good as I remembered...and it was - so congratulations. My wife had curried pumpkin soup, well seasoned and now on her social media posts as she is a bit of a soup nut. She followed that with the risotto. I bookended my fish and chips with slow cooked ox cheek (very nice). Don't get confused when you see this at £18, it is a starter size, but everymouthful a gem, and Baked Alaska for dessert, which was probably the star of the evening. The service here is great, everyone friendly but also on top of their game. We'll be back!”

“One of the best places to eat in Reading! Second time eating- every time extremely happy! Me and my husband Edgar ordered today Zaks mixed platter and lamb shashlik. Everything was super tasty. Meat was so juicy and tender, absolutely delicious. Chips and salad were marvelous. Zaks sauces're just amazing . Thanks guys very much and we will be back very soon! “If you like remote and dog friendly, this is ideal. Google maps took us down some country lanes and over a single way bridge, on the map the pub shows pretty much on an island surrounded by country parks & lakes. The location is nice. Car park has about 30 spaces & I think 2 electric car chargers. The pub was pretty quiet when we arrived and the locals/staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pub itself has a lovely interior. To the food, we had the vegan burger, bacon and cheese burger and the childs fish goujons. All very nice and well portioned. For dessert we had the rhubarb crumble with vanilla and vegan ice cream, finished off the meal perfectly.”

“Hey! This place is nicely & warmly welcoming. The food is cooked right (beef) and portions are quite large balancing the price. The staff is polite and wouldn’t rush you, altogether in a family atmosphere. Large car park, large beer garden in the back along with some tables out in the front, large tables, large and clean toilets - so overall all quite ‘largely’ impressed. Give it a try!”

“Absolutely wonderful find tucked away near Maidenhead but definitely worth a visit; if you are looking for a standard curry house, there are other good places; if you want a gastronomic experience not to be forgotten, visit this place. The ambiance lovely, the Michelin style presentation was stunning and each and every dish was delicious; coming from someone with Indian parents with very high food standards, we really loved visiting and look forward to going back with friends!”

“A busy cafe on the edge of the airfield with tables both inside and outside. The food is good and service is quick. It can be very pleasant to sit outside to eat / drink as then you can watch the activities on the airfield which is generally quite busy with light aircraft and helicopter flights.”

“We had the most incredible night at the Palm Brasserie tonight. We staff knew it was our anniversary and made such an effort to make it very special. The menu was vast, with lots of different options to cater for everyone. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Make sure to leave room for the deserts! The cocktails were fantastic too! However, the main part that stood out for us was the manager. We haven’t received service like this for a very, very long time. He made our anniversary and could not do enough for us. We are so pleased that we only live 10 minutes away as we will definitely be coming here again and again. The room for larger parties also looks great! Thank you so much again, I could not recommend it enough!”

The food menu was great too, tricky choosing what to have. Had cheese scones, that came with cream cheese and a chutney that omg I loved. I'm recommending this to all my friends and family. ❤️”
