“Had an amazing time and the food was absolutely scrumptious.. Relph, the waiter was pretty friendly and humble!”
“Had to write a review after my second order because honestly, their pizza is bloody amazing. First tried it takeaway, then ordered on Deliveroo, and both times it was phenomenal. Like, seriously, the best pizza I've ever had, hands down. My absolute fave is the Hell's Kitchen pizza. It's got a kick, but nothing that'll make you cry (unless you're that way inclined, of course!). Honestly, can't recommend Thirsty Bear enough. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“We had a function in the pub and it was a great experience. We had a dedicated function room separated from the main pub. The atmosphere both in the pub and in the function room are really lovely and the fireplaces give just the perfect place for a cosy dinner. Food was truly amazing. Great portions and quality food from the appetisers throughout the meal. Tagliatelle were cooked to perfection and the sea bass with the lemon sauce was mouthwatering. All through the meal, the sauces were just amazing. All the staff was really friendly and we had a great night out.”
“Had a lovely meal at Spicy Tadka. Decor was beautiful. Food came out very quick and with beautiful flavours. Would come again.”
“Food was amazing and such super friendly service brought my mum here for her birthday and was so good this is my 3rd time back”
“Went recently for a family birthday meal. Wonderful food, cooked fresh. If I had any recommendation, I'd say forget the mixed starter and order more main course dishes instead. That's where they really shine.”
“Went with a group of 11. Inc one celiac and Veggie. 3 had starters and most had several drinks plus main course. Worked out just over £30 per head. Pleasant friendly staff who looked after us well. Would definitely use again/ recommend. Parking can be hit or miss but that's not their fault.”
“All together we had a great dinner family time. We ordered a starter and 2 juicy burgers for us adults and kids eat free during school holidays which is kind and nice from the restaurant, especially for families with kids. Even if one of the burgers was not the way it was meant to be, the branch manager apologised and kindly replaced it for my wife and did not even charged for her entire order, including the drink. That was both polite and going above and beyond, as this can be a point of deciding if you ever come back to a restaurant based on your experience, and it all falls on the way the staff (including management) approach the issue and find a swift solution. Reason why we scored 5 stars and we thank Tillie for finding us a table last minute even if we had no booking on a Friday night.”
“A nicely located pub just in the heart of Prospect Park. The place has plenty of free parking (don’t forget to register at check in). The menu is quite ‘suculent’ with lots of options and nicely cooked food (not a fish ‘n’ chip bar). The view is great over the park with a quiet ambiance. You can have salad as much as you like which is a vegan’s paradise. Waiting time for taking the order is a bit long but quite polite so doesn’t feel rushed in any way. Book and enjoy a nice lunch or dinner with family, friends or just on your own.”
“Da village did not fail to impress. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and portions were out of the world huge! Highly recommend. It was very quiet when we visited, but it is Ramadan. It’s usually busy. Top spot”
“Absolutely amazing experience. Food was quick and tasty, portion sizes were great and staff were really attentive. Will deffo be back!”
“The variety was impressive. There was a dedicated section for sushi and sashimi that was constantly restocked, and the seafood on ice—including shrimp, crab legs, and oysters—was very fresh. The carving station was a highlight, with a perfectly cooked roast beef and a delicious herb-crusted ham. The hot food section had a great international selection. The Chinese-style honey walnut shrimp was a crowd-pleaser, and the Italian pasta station allowed you to customize your dish. I also appreciated the live cooking counters where chefs prepared noodles and teppanyaki right in front of you.”
“Cool place with a good atmosphere. The burgers we ordered were really good. My only problem was that the location wasn’t obvious and easy to find the first time.”
“Great food as always, been here a few times when visiting friends, that live locally. Staff were friendly, and the service is excellent. My time of visit was a Friday evening.”
“An absolutely gorgeous pub! The food was excellent - everything tasted home made, whether it was or not. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I had the pie with red cabbage and the red cabbage was far too sweet - the same for the gravy with the sausages and mash. Other than that, the best pub meal I've had in a long time and everyone else agreed.”
“We have just been to this place and I must say without sticking my nose to far up.... they were great.. they changed the menu and didn’t have something I wanted, so the manager said don’t worry, I’ll sort it.. and he did.. thank you so much for such a great service...”
“Amazing restaurant!! We came here last minute as where we had planned to go was fully booked but I’m so glad we ended up here instead! The servers were so great! Joel was amazing and accommodating to our order changes! The food came out quickly and was so delicious, I’m craving it right now writing this review! We will definitely be back !”
“We ordered takeaway, and the food was lovely, very tasty, and generous portions!”
“Highly recommended. We enjoyed salt and pepper chicken, wontons, pancake rolls, satay chicken, crispy duck, stir fried vegetables. The set meals are so filling and great value for money. The staff here were attentive and friendly. The 'robot' delivery service is great fun too.”
“We had the most incredible food! The dishes that we ordered were Beautiful and so full of Flavour! The Chef worked hard on his Menu and you can definitely tell, it is Fantastic! The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the food that you are eating. We explained our Intolerance and an Allergy and we were reassured that the dishes that we wanted were safe after checking with the Chef. Photo of Menu and various dishes are below. Thank you so much for such a Lovely meal!!!”
“Had a couple of issues, got in touch with the restaurant via their website and the lady phoned me and the issue was sorted out. Very happy with the outcome and fact I received a call back. Would highly recommend this restaurant, just a heads up if you like sauce with your dishes eg, sweet and sour chicken, just write in the note section 'extra sauce' as it was quite dry.”
“Had a roast at The Mill House and it was spot on! Great food, great prices, and Dave was super welcoming and helpful. There were a few of us but the food came out nice and quick, and everything was really tasty. He checked in a few times to make sure we were all good too. Can’t complain at all — really good service and food for the price. Definitely going back again!”
“Fantastic flavoured pizza. Large range of topping options! Nice staff who greets us every time and facilitate the process. Half-n-half is our usual and “Meatball lover”is our favourite!”
“I discovered an amazing biryani restaurant in Reading, offering various Indian and Pakistani dishes. You can choose from: • Roti (flatbread) • Sabzi (vegetables) - veg and non-veg options • Delicious biryani (my personal favorite) Prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for everyone.”
“We had our breakfast at Yaadgaar in Reading, and it was absolutely amazing! We tried the Aloo Wala Paratha and Halwa Puri, and both were full of authentic flavor. The taste and service were outstanding , everything was fresh, delicious, and served with a smile. Definitely one of the best places in Reading for a proper desi breakfast. Highly recommended!”
“The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is excellent, all came out really hot and so so tasty. There are plenty of plant based options, gluten free options etc and they will happily make changes to suit. Full English breakfast again was awesome. We had an excellent stay and will definitely be coming again. Excellent value for money”
“Felt very welcomed and the staff were incredibly kind and had great customer service, the food was lovely. Would recommend”
“A big thank you to Antila, whose amazing service and cheerful welcome made our Sunday lunch at The Crazy Bear (Stadhampton) truly memorable. Her friendly manner and thoughtful attention throughout the afternoon added a real sense of care and warmth. We thoroughly enjoyed the 12-course tasting menu, which was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The choice between classic and vegetarian options was especially appreciated, with each dish crafted with creativity and precision. The setting was equally impressive — charming, stylish, and perfectly suited to a leisurely afternoon. Thank you again to Antila and the rest of the team for a fantastic experience. We very much look forward to our next visit!”
“First time having food from these guys. I am a coach driver and was stuck at a school all day and had no lunch so ordered through just eat app. Food came really quick, was piping hot, bottle of drink was lovely and cold (best bit as very hot in full uniform sat in sun). It was absolutely gorgeous food as well, way better and cheaper than other 'main' brands. Will definitely use again if out this way again anytime.”
