“10/10! Fantastic food, authentic French flavors! It’s a perfect spot for a light lunch/tea as the serving sizes are on the smaller side. If it comes with a green salad, it will be served on a small plate. Next time I’ll try an entree sized item as I’m still a bit peckish — but to be fair, I did come in for a very late lunch. The little green salads are delicious and crunchy. I had the salmon and leek quiche and my partner the seafood crepe — both outstanding! Looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend!”

“I've eaten here quite a few times, and it's always been amazing food at great prices. But I also had the recent pleasure of taking my mother here recently. To most people, that wouldn't sound anything major. However my mother is very reluctant to try new foods, and (with OCD to boot) she has anxiety around cleanliness and hygiene. So eating out and eating food she isn't familiar with is a big step. She loved this place and everything we ate. She has talked about it to everyone in the family, and it's been a huge hit. She was impressed with how clean everything was, the politeness of service (our waiter was even calling her mum by the end of service), and just how delicious and fresh the food was. She promptly took photos of all the food too. So I wanted to leave a review to say how grateful I am to this restaurant and staff. I've always loved eating here, but to have my mother raving about the food here really says a lot. I saw another review saying that they thought the food wasn't fresh - every time I've eaten here the food has been very fresh. You can tell that by the prawns in the salads. We ate: the papaya salad, spring rolls, crispy pork with rice, and a pork dry noodle dish.”

“Real good food. I went with a large group and so I tried lots of different foods. Couldn't complain about any of them. Would definitely recommend going here. It's a bit more expensive than some of the other restaurants around, but I think that if you're looking for a decent meal that's quality meets the price. you can't go wrong with this place! “My now wife and I chose LSB to celebrate our wedding reception and we could not have been happier! Jason and the team made sure our special day went flawlessly and truly was the most beautiful day of our lives! The service was 12/10! The food was 12/10! The attention to detail was incredible. They knew the seating plan and which guest had which dish, they accommodated our request for gaps in between courses and they just genuinely provided the most incredible experience anybody could wish! The venue is beautiful and honestly I can’t recommend them enough! I would give 6stars if I could. We will definitely be coming back!”

“My wife and I feel like we’ve grown up with Heaven’s Kitchen. They now have a few branches but this is the original location. It opened just after we moved to the area. As we were refurbishing our house at the time and had a long time without a kitchen, we had to eat out lot during that time. So, we got to know the staff well In those early days, the weakness was consistency as they seemed to go through quite a few chefs. Still, we loved the bruschetta and mushroom risotto, which sadly aren’t on the menu any more Yesterday, we came back after not coming for awhile. Service was a bit slow but very friendly - there were just 2 staff working flat out. The food was really tasty. Bone marrow, seafood linguine and ribeye steak were all wolfed down Great to see HK flourishing”

“Definitely a unique experience. Been there only once for breakfast. Not only were the staff kind and courteous, they were very quick with service and I was able to pay easily for my food and drink. Not to mention they had some foods I'd never even heard of, and new pasta shapes. It was kind of relaxing, just sitting and enjoying a simple brownie and a cup of tea. Would definitely recommend for you early birds.”

“The Volunteer is a traditional pub in the heart of Theale, Berkshire. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with exposed brickwork and a traditional fireplace. The menu features a wide variety of pub classics, as well as some more modern dishes. We started our meal with sticky pigs in blankets. These were perfectly cooked and the sausages were juicy and flavorful. For our main courses, I had the chicken curry and my partner had the steak and ale pie. Both dishes were delicious. The chicken curry was rich and flavorful, and the steak and ale pie was hearty and filling. The service at The Volunteer was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he made sure that we had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the selection of beers on tap. Overall, we had a great experience at The Volunteer. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking for a great meal in Theale. “Lovely lunch. A hidden away place. Menu has almost all gluten-free options. Had risotto for starter, followed by steak and finished off with cheesecake. All perfectly done, especially the risotto which was fantastic. Highly recommended for anyone in the area”
