“This is the second time l have used Brakemadters/Powerhouse. The first time was a few years ago, when they refurbed the callipers of my VFR800. They did a great job. This time, it was the front callipers of my '93 VFR750. They were in a state after 32 yrs of use and my ham -fisted maintenance. They were faded, scratched and really shabby. I elected for a full refurbishment & repainted to original Nissin VFR gold. They needed new pistons as well. The pictures attached speak for themselves. They look as good as new. If asked, l will always recommend Powerhouse/Brakemasters. They will certainly be getting more work from me when l get around to sorting my other bikes.”

“Ive used this Halfords twice in the last year. The first time my late father in law van had a timing belt issue and whilst we figured out as a family what we were doing Halfords were very patient and allowed the vehicle to stay on site due to it being inoperable, they also cut in half the diagnostic charge as they were unable to fix. Secondly took my own car down for a diagnostic, given reasonable information and advice but not charged as could not be specific for the cause. Appreciated that. Staff are friendly and understanding. The welding was first class, the mechanic even suggested that although my repair would pass an mot test further work will be needed at a later date but not yet. Being very honest instead of saying that it all would need doing for an mot, I would definitely return, nice to find a business that doesn't rip people off.”

“Phoned as I needed a ball joint for my car... Admittedly I had called two other suppliers that did not have stock... Spoke to Ellie who was very efficient and friendly and gave me price options on different brands... Kept them on reserve for me to collect later that day. Upon arriving at the store the lad on the counter was serving a gent who ordered parts but made a mistake with his order and changed his mind again which took a while to sort... Said lad on counter was very patient with the customer although a queue had formed... Upon seeing this one of the guys from the office dropped what he was doing and came out to help... Again very friendly and efficient... Had the parts in stock and was cheaper... Great service... Staff should be commended.”

“Bought Roof Bars and Load Stop for my Ford Tourneo Connect. Looked at a few makes and models some hugely expensive some very cheap n cheerful and DST Automotive Version. Seriously Top Notch Quality, went together faultlessly fitted perfect and looks the Biz. Just the Bars on there own pretty silent at 70mph. I’ve loaded a Canoe on top using the load stops absolutely secure and highly recommend the load stops for Canoe and Kayaks. Overall pleased with the purchase. ps obviously not tied down yet.”

“We required some spare parts for our Hofmann tyre changing machine. A quick Google search showed that Straightset were a stockist of Hofmann parts so I called and spoke to Jayne. She took the details of our machine and promised to call me back, which she did so promptly. Because there was a couple of choices of the part, she emailed me photographs so I was able to match them up with our technician. They had the parts in stock and having emailed an invoice for me to pay, the parts were despatched the same day. Very helpful and efficient service.”

“I first booked with KNcustoms for an alternator replacement as i’d been told by numerous other mechanics that this was the problem. However, despite the fact that I had already paid the full amount of an alternator repair to KN, they rang me to inform me that it was actually the fuse box that was causing the car not to start as it had blown. They could have taken the money, installed the alternator and then charged for further repair but instead they spent the whole day trying to figure out what the issue was and then only charged me for that repair, which turned out to be cheaper and to my surprise they actually refunded me a percentage of the original price i paid. Kyle was brilliant and kept me informed every day whilst the car was in repair. They then offered to do a full MOT as I was due one and this was done swiftly and delivered back to me at no extra cost. After months of not knowing what was going on with my car and being told incorrect information from many other mechanics (including misinformation from big established companies), I was so relieved and thankful to finally have the issue correctly diagnosed and then repaired so easily with KN. The car was working perfectly when I got it back and I am just so happy that I found this company as every other one has let me down with this. Their customer service was brilliant with great communication, extremely reasonable prices and I genuinely cannot be more thankful with how they handled the whole situation. If you need any sort or repair go with this company! I cannot fault them and will 100% be going back if any other problems arise. Excellent service!”
