“Aww wow! Go here! We go to bawtry most Sundays, So we decided to explore the surrounding villages, this place was amazing. We rocked up after serving time, and the chef ( lovely lovely guy) came out and showed us the menus, and was more than happy to cook for us. The food was outstanding! The atmosphere was so nice and all the staff were helpful, funny and lovely! We’re going again next week. X”

“We paid for the theme private party package and it was well worth the money! We asked for a wiggles themed party for our wiggle mad little girl and the venue looked amazing! The food was fantastic, Alanna couldn’t do enough for us! Service was fantastic, fast and made everything as stress free for us as it could be ! “Lovely day out at xmas. The house is beautifully decorated with all 47 trees. Especially loved the enchanted woodland theme with the fairies this year. The light projection onto the house was beautiful too. Only niggle is the two way route past the rockery for the light trail.”

“Darwin forest lodges is a brilliant self catering lodges. The Lodge had everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean. They is a swimming pool, soft play area. Golf, spa, pool table, restaurant. The staff are very friendly and if you need help with anything they well help you. They is some lovely walks which is easy for small children. I would very highly recommend it.”

“Friendly staff great activities for the kids especially like the fact it has small world role play rooms - lab, music room, cafe, vets - the vets even has real fish in it and the lab has loads of sensory lights. The soft play itself is smaller than Monkey Bizness but thats a benefit because its easier to find your child. It also has better activities i side like a zip line, a ball-pool and a turfed football pitch that other centres do not have. Food is slightly pricier than a corner shop but not extortionate. Staff are professional really friendly and actively engage with children. I think we would have a good time if we arranged a birthday party. They do activities with y not just food and play. Great afternoon out and great value.”

“A Christmas Carol! Wonderful magical production that stuck close to the story and was one of the most entertaining events we have ever seen on a stage Brilliantly acted with a local twist (Sheffield carols excellent but thought the ghost of Christmas past was slightly weird - the ghost of Christmas present was amazing!) The set and sound and lighting effects were amazing. Our only criticism was of tiny Tim - he should have been made up to look sickly, used a wooden crutch and coughed at the table (he would probably have had TB in Dickensian times). It would be unfair to single out players for individual praise - what a wonderful start to Christmas!”

“A nice, small theatre venue with good views from most seats. We visited to watch a show and had no issues with our seats in Row P. The bar prices were reasonable and that staff were friendly when showing us to our seats. I would visit this theatre again if they had a production I wanted to see.”

“Fantastic place to visit for all the family. We parked in the car park and did a lovely 8mjle loop route finishing off in the Longshaw cafe. I recommend you get to the car park early to avoid it being full in peak season.”

“Such a great place even in the rain! There were a couple of animals like the armadillos that weren’t there which was a shame but overall it was a great place for all ages. We got soaking on the tractor ride which was a lot of fun but as it’s right next to the butterfly house we just went in there to dry off. I can’t fault the staff they were all lovely and because it had rained for most of the our visit you could go back into the office before you left and get vouchers to return for free.”

“OMG, I'm still star struck! I can't believe this happened! The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with such unique decor. Gorgeous attention to detail The food is fantastic too, definitely more of a "dirty vegan" experience than a healthy one, which I love. Who doesn't adore a juicy burger? So good! I absolutely loved the satay "chicken" loaded fries, so highly recommend those. The cocktails are also stunning and so well made. I loved the espresso martini. It's made with Guinness, but don't let that put you off! There are lovely views over the river from the restaurant, and it was great to see all the wildflowers. Sadly, there was no sign of the visiting otters. As if that wasn't enough, I was so delighted and shocked to see the owner, Oli Sykes, in there with his family! As much as it killed me, *seriously* killed me, I didn't want to bother him for a selfie as he was enjoying personal time with his family. It just goes to show how good the food must be if he eats there himself! I went on a Sunday and noticed the menu is a bit more limited, which sadly loses them a star for food, but there were still lots of burger and loaded fries options for anyone not wanting the more traditional vegan Sunday roast. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, which just makes the whole experience even better! I also loved how dog friendly it is. I just loved seeing so many gorgeous pooches being made to feel at home here! Absolutely recommend it!”

“Second visit here and as good as ever. The place is clean and modern and easy to get to. If you are parking in the Civic Quarter car park (formerly Southern Bus Station), you can get a discounted car parking fee. Just ask at the desk for a ticket (there is an explanatory video on Youtube if you get stuck). The cinema areas are clean with a wide variety of seat choices. Recommend the recliners, they are really comfy and just over £8 for a adult ticket. Refreshments are also good value here, compared to the cinema at Lakeside. Didn't know which drink to choose so the absolutely lovely staff member gave me a sample of one to try. Excellent customer service 10/10”

“Absolutely first class service from ordering to delivery! The mattress is so comfortable. We had a superking Emma Hybrid airgrid which is unbelievably super comfy and an added bonus was the price! More expensive on other sites. Next day delivery with fantastic couriers. Up to date notifications, mattress was rolled in a box so no problem getting through doorways and upstairs. I don’t normally do reviews but this purchase Definately deserved one. Very happy indeed”

“We went to Hardwick Hall recently for the Christmas experience and it was really good. We really enjoyed it. I’ve visited a long time ago and each time it has been kept in a really good condition. The grounds are really lovely and the shop and café really nice. They had a little coffee van out as well this time and it was really nice too. It was absolutely tipping it down with rain but that still didn’t stop us from having a good time. There was also a guide there who answered my questions about some of the history, she was energetic and it was great to meet someone so passionate about the history of the place. Would definitely recommend for anyone of any age, but bring an umbrella if you think it might rain, unless you’re happy to run inside the hall!”

“Wonderful day out,an incredible place stunning walks through woodland, along the meandering river, beautiful water rills, lots of things going on for youngsters, bike hire available from trundle bikes to adults. The historical grand house sadly is no longer standing but the history is mind blowing. The walled garden and greenhouse is fantastic and you can actually buy some of the produce at the entrance to the walled garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.”
