“A large family group visit to Koinonia at Diwali to celebrate a birthday on a Sunday lunchtime. We all had the Diwali set menu including the child with us. We had a warm friendly welcome into the nicely decorated restaurant and the staff were all dressed in beautiful cultural clothing. We were seated and offered drinks promptly. Staff came to speak to us about gluten free changes/options for one of our diners and shortly after our food started to arrive. Wow absolutely amazing, each course was generous in portion size, looked fabulous, smelled unbelievably good and tasted fantastic. We were all thrilled with our meals and the cost was very competitive, drinks were fairly priced, 0% Cobra was also available for the drivers amongst our group. We would all highly recommend a visit to Koinonia it’s a gem of a restaurant in the centre of Newark on Trent with plenty of nearby parking options”

“We ordered the set meal for 2 and a few extras as there was 4 of us. it took awhile to get here but they did say they was busy and it could be an 1hr 20mins. The meal was most definitely worth the wait absolutely delicious clear plates all round would highly recommend”

“Had a fabulous day in Newark. Market Square was amazing, with lots of stalls and visitors. Riverside Park is lovely, and the boat trip is so relaxing. Loved it!”

“Wonderful reception Staff. I stay in a lot of Premier inns for work and always get a nice greeting at reception but I have to say the greeting and service I received today was by far the best experience I have ever had. Nothing was to much trouble from the early check in to sorting breakfast the reception staff were helpful and so friendly. Highly recommended”

“I went there for Sunday lunch with my family. I’ll cut to the chase - book it and go, if there’s actually any space left. The value is unbelievable for the quality of food. This would cost at least double in London and at least 50% more in a neighbouring city. What comes out of that small kitchen is impressive. A deft touch, precise cooking and extremely well judged seasoning. Support this restaurant. If you live in Newark then you have to go. If you live within an hours drive you should absolutely go. If you’re driving up the A1, you need to pop in. I’ve been eating all over the world this year (and previous ones), and this gem was on my doorstep all along.”

“Food is fabulous, especially the flatbreads Couldn't work how to reply so I will just add it here. I particularly loved the Persian lamb flatbread, the Shakshuka is excellent but so are the breakfasts. I am there most Saturday mornings waiting for kids to do their clubs and it is lovely to see a busy bar/restaurant. Could not recommend this place enough.”

“Broke our journey here coming and going. Restful, close to the A1but just off the beaten track enough to feel like a holiday. Nice rooms, plenty of space and ground floor access. Amazing local and the steaks are excellent.”

“We were recommended to visit here for a meal so decided to give it a go . Boy we weren’t disappointed.we were greeted with a very friendly welcome, we had a drink before being seated and looked after and our order was swiftly taken by a very nice young lady. We both had the roast beef Sunday dinner, it arrived very well presented with plenty of fresh veg and excellent tasty beef and all the trimmings. We had a really nice time here all the locals were all chatty and it had a lovely atmosphere all in all we had a great time and hope to return soon. I would definitely recommend this beautiful place.”

“Beautiful location with rooms to match. The room's interior (Room 2) has been stylishly decorated with the perfect balance between boutique design, comfort and warmth. High quality bed, mattress and linen provided a great night's sleep and it was a nice touch to have complimentary water in addition to the tea/coffee/biscuits. It's a great place to stay with pretty much all the amenities of Newark a short stroll away. Highly recommended and parking is included!”

“I stopped here for the first time after a long day in London , I had the best takeaway pepperoni classic pizza I’ve ever had , cooked perfectly, toppings and cheese were perfect , I wish it was nearer to me but I will definitely order here again when I can”

“New King Wah has been my go to for take aways whenever I’m in town and fancy a treat. The food is always tasty and consistent, and I find the staff are friendly. I haven’t eaten in the restaurant in a long time so I’m unable to review that aspect, but if you fancy a good takeaway new king Wah is a great choice”

“Booked here at late notice for easter sunday. All staff were lovely and so helpful even when the children were asking for different bits. Nothing was to much trouble. The inside of the restaurant is amazing and beautiful views over the river. The food was to die for and i would recommend it to anyone. Fairly priced for such a yummy meal and good service. Hope to go back in the summer.”

“Ordered from Newark town kebab house and I can safely say we will be ordering again!! The delivery was quick, the food was piping hot, and so delicious me and my boyfriend enjoyed it very much! So many toppings too and accommodating to my special requests as I don’t like cheese!!”
