“This is a tricky review to write, not because I have anything other that high praise for Sail Racing Achademy and Germane and the team, but because I can see that they have had a tough and complex last 12 months and I don't want to be come across as being contrary or argumentative towards other reviews. Each to their own right and this is based entirely on my experience. The reality is that Germaine was clear from the outset that the yachts at Sail Racing Achademy have a tough life. They work hard and he allows (encourages actually) some unskilled and inexperienced people to get involved and this naturally has an impact. But it is also these things that make SRA special. They want to make Ocean Racing inclusive and accessible and that takes its toll. Yes, we had to do some work on getting the boat prepped for our adventures but in some ways they was part of the journey for us. We picked SRA for our Fastnet campaign because we wanted to be an integral part of a crew and we wanted to be on a boat that was out to race, to compete and to do well. And that is what we got. We also benefitted massively from Germaine's coaching and experience while we were at it. The racing was fantastic. Tough in places, Champagne sailing in others. The boat (Escapado) performed well, dispute the beating it took from the ocean, the weather and at times the crew. My recommendation is simple, if you want a polished boat, with a limited or role specific involvement that may be competitive or may be pedestrian then SRA isn't for you. But if you are keen to muck in, be surrounded by like-minded people, be highly competitive and work hard for your achievement, while being given the freedom to get involved and learn from a skilled and inclusive skipper, then that is what you will get. For us it was perfect ! We loved our sailing with SRA and in the end we had a very successful Fastnet race finishing well in IRC3 and mid table in line honours. Completing the Fastnet track in 4 days, 17 hours and 35 minutes. We laughed, almost cried, worked hard and partied harder once the racing was done. It was everything we hopeful for a more. We look forward to sailing with SRA again in the future.”

“School near to Southampton with a massive sports area.The canteen is very wood and very well organized. Modern building with a central hall. The children can have a keyless locker that is very useful. They school have smart door with contactless card system. Basically the school works without keys. The rooms are very well equipped with carbon monoxide detector for ventilation, blinds, big tables and good WiFi service.”

“I’ve been a member of this gym for 3 years now, and I have to say — the improvements the new owners have made are impressive. The facility has changed a lot over time, and mostly for the better! That said, I think it would be a great addition to have Smith machines upstairs, especially for the younger bodybuilders or those who are still developing their form and confidence. I understand if it’s not currently in the budget, but it would be an awesome upgrade to an already solid gym. Keep up the great work!”

“After unsuccessful visits to two other shops, I decided to try Charisma. Their positive reviews and online list of great designers stocked gave me hope, and I was certainly not disappointed. “From the moment we walked in Stuart and the rest of the team were so welcoming. It has taken us 4 months from when we first walked in to get to ordering due to a house move but Stuart has been very patient, talking us through each stage. We were offered samples to take home and never pressured to buy. The products are brilliant and there is plenty of choice for all tastes. The cafe is an excellent addition as we often spent many hours there trying out the beds and choosing flooring. A wonderful local family business, we will be back!”

“My daughter and I really look forward to attending Bright Babies each Tuesday! She has been going since she was 12 weeks old and is now in the Movers Class. Each class has been so engaging for her age from baby massage, to sensory play and there are always great songs and games. The class isn’t too big either which is lovely. It is our favourite class - thank you so much Vicky for your hard work and for being so welcoming. We always enjoy the different themes each week and look forward to attending many more classes in the future.”
